 Title: Quick Fall

Author: Michelle Dayton
Published: October 8, 2018
Publisher: Self-published
Series: Tracy Brothers #2
Genres: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis:

Justin Tracy, the perennial life of the party, is used to being teased by his friends about his success with the ladies.  Not that he’ll ever get serious with one.  Why should he?  His life is absolutely perfect the way it is. But at his brother’s bachelor party, a drunken bet about his womanizing skill gets a little out of control. Before he knows it, his friends have invited his new tenant – a woman he’s never even met – to go to his brother’s wedding with him.

Single mom Maddy Trainor has just moved back to Chicago, ready to reclaim her life and conquer the city.  Maddy’s determined to get her new business off the ground and build a happy home for her son, Teddy.   She didn’t expect a gorgeous landlord, but ogling Justin Tracy is definitely a bonus to her new apartment.

Justin intends to apologize to Maddy for the out-of-the-blue wedding invitation and get gone, but his new neighbor turns out to be funny, whip-smart, and sexy as hell.  Why not take her to the wedding for real?  Just as friends, of course.  To Maddy, the wedding – one night of champagne and dancing with a self-admitted Peter Pan – sounds like amazing no-strings fun.  But the sparks that blaze between the two of them can’t be contained to one night.  And two people who think they have life figured out are about to realize they know nothing about love …

Ding!
Justin caught her hand and pulled her out of the elevator before the doors even had a chance to fully open. “I’m all the way at the end of the hall.”
He was walking too fast for her sore feet; she tripped in her heels. “Wait. Slow down. My feet. Blisters.”
He assessed the complicated gold sandals. “How long does it take to get those off?”
Given the tiny buckle on the ankle strap … with the way her hands were shaking… She sighed. “Two minutes.”
He grinned, mischief sparking in his eyes. “That’s two minutes too long.” Without another word, he lunged forward and threw her over his shoulder in a fireman’s hold.
Maddy shrieked. She’d never been picked up literally by a man before. Upside down, she felt both ridiculous and ridiculously feminine. Uncontrolled laugher—her noisy, high-pitched kind—bubbled out of her mouth. She wouldn’t have thought she could move from unspeakable arousal to hysterical laughter in the space of five seconds, but apparently that’s what Justin did to her.
“Almost there,” he called.
Another thirty seconds and he carefully set her down. She clung to his shoulders until she stopped quivering. Eyes sparkling, Justin inserted the key card into the lock. “After you.”
“Oh,” she breathed. The room was so pretty. Dark wood furniture, a crisp, white duvet on the bed, and an incredible view of Michigan Avenue.
“The hotel sent up a bottle of champagne as a thank you,” Justin said. “Can I pour you a glass?”
“Please.” She’d stopped drinking at the wedding once the dancing had started. Since that was more than three hours ago, she was stone-cold sober now. And since the laughter had subsided and the fact that she was in a hotel room with a man was sinking in, a glass of liquid courage would be very welcome indeed.
Although ... she wasn’t nervous, actually. There was nothing to be nervous about. She was a grown woman whose child was perfectly safe. For once, her legs were shaved and her bikini area was waxed. She was with a no-strings-attached man, but one who was genuinely kind and committed to his family. Someone funny. Someone trustworthy.
Justin handed her a glass of champagne and finished removing his bow tie.
Someone unbelievably gorgeous. Someone who wanted her badly, if his hungry expression was anything to go by.
She set her champagne glass on the nightstand and slowly turned. “Unzip me?”

Muffin Top, a hot romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn is coming October 29th!

The only thing about me that’s a size zero is the filter on my mouth. I’ve got a big personality, a big rack, and a big number on the scale. And I’m perfectly fine with that.
But when some random guy suggests I might not be eating alone if I’d ordered a salad instead of a hamburger I’m shocked silent, which is a feat, trust me.
That brings us to one sexy fireman named Frankie Hartigan. He’s hot. He’s funny… And he’s just apologized for being late for our “date” then glared at the fat-shaming jerk. Next thing I know, he’s sitting down and ordering himself dinner.
I have no problem telling him I don’t need a pity date . . . unless of course it’s to my high school reunion next week. Oops where did that last bit come from? And what do I do now that he’s said yes?!
Because this is no make-over story, and I think Frankie is using me for something. I just have to figure out what…

Excerpt:
The temptation to say “Yes, Frankie, please squash him like a bug while I clap and watch” was so, so strong—like, the guys who pull semi trucks with their teeth strong. Instead, Lucy played along with her best friend’s fiancé’s brother— OMG, that was now the name of her imaginary all-girl ska band—and smiled sweetly up at him. “He was bothered by my dinner order, honey.” “Really?” Frankie looked down at her plate, over to the dipshit, and then right at her. There was no missing the devil in his eyes right before he turned his attention back to the other man. “What’s wrong with what my girl’s eating?” Mr. In Her Business blanched. Literally. The color drained out of his face so fast that he resembled one of those swipe right before and after photos on makeover blogs. How in the hell she managed to not laugh out loud she had no frickin’ clue. “N-n-nothing,” the man stuttered. Nope. He was not getting off that easily. She looked up at Frankie, still standing next to her chair, his big hand braced on the back of it, and said in the clueless voice that anyone with a brain would know meant there was danger ahead, “He said I should have ordered a salad, then I might have a chance to move from a five to an eight. I’m a five because I have great tits.” Thunderous didn’t begin to describe the dark look of pure vengeance that crossed Frankie’s face, making even the freckles that crossed over the bridge of his nose look scary. Mr. Buttinsky made a little squeaking noise that reminded Lucy of the sound of air coming out of a balloon when someone pulled the tip taut as it was deflating. Frankie took a step forward, menace vibrating off of him in waves. The other guy didn’t bother to say a word, he just took off, weaving his way at a fast clip through the crowded bar and out the front door. Lucy liked to imagine that he peed his pants a little as he did so. “Thanks, Frankie,” she said to the man still staring at the departing figure of Mr. Peed His Pants. “I owe you one.” Her ginger knight in well-fitting jeans and a T-shirt made some kind of noise that maybe was a response in the affirmative. It sounded kinda like “no problem.” Whatever. She was used to that from guys. She was only of interest until a hotter, skinnier, or prettier woman came along. It was the universal fat chick cloaking device. Determined not to let it annoy her as much as it usually would, she turned back to her jalapeño cheeseburger, spicy fries, and soda. Now she could finally enjoy her dinner in peace. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Frankie clunked down a three-fourths filled mug of beer on the other side of her table, pulled out the chair across from her, and sat down. Before she could even ask what he was doing, he waved the waitress over and told her he wanted whatever Lucy was eating, plus an extra order of fries and another beer. Once she’d left, he turned his attention to Lucy and gave her what could only be described as a vibrator smile. She named it that in her head—thankfully only in her head—because she now had a desperate need for her vibrator and maybe a fresh pack of batteries. “You’re not gonna make me eat alone now that we’re on a date, are you?” he asked, swiping one of her fries.

About Avery
AveryFlynn.jpgUSA Today bestselling romance author Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip. She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staffs knew her by name. Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.

Excerpt:
“I didn’t mean to drag you away from Kimberly. You two seemed to be hitting it off.” He didn’t pull his hand away from her face, struck by the tinge of something in her voice. Jealousy? And if so, why did it please him that she cared? “Kimberly was like a leech who wouldn’t let go. She even used her sick brother’s story to hang on to me. I wasn’t doing anything more than offering sympathy,” he said, opting for the truth. Andi blinked, unmistakable relief in her pretty brown eyes. “Really?” “Did it bother you when you thought I was into her?” he heard himself asking, knowing he hadn’t planned to go down this road, but the attraction between them was a real, tangible thing. His fingers itched to run through her thick, wavy hair, and he couldn’t tear his gaze from her glossed lips as she ran her tongue nervously over them. Not to mention the energy it took not to look down at her full breasts beneath the jersey. “Would it upset you if I said it did? That watching you with her stirred up feelings that took me by surprise?” “I shouldn’t want you, Andi. You hurt me. Took a fucking knife to my heart. But that was in the past. And what’s going on now between us is the present.” Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears, the past alive despite them both wanting to put it behind them. But everything inside him was pulled toward her now, drawn to her fragile strength and beauty. He dipped his head and pressed his mouth to hers. Warm and giving, her soft lips moved beneath his. His hand slid around her jaw, tilting her head, giving him better access as his tongue delved into her mouth and tangled with hers. Finally, finally, finally, finally. His heart beat out the word in rapid rhythm, a long-held desire coming true as her kiss turned him inside out. He explored the deep recesses of her mouth, tasting her essence, aware of his body’s reaction, the swell of his cock behind his jeans, the spike in adrenaline, the racing of his pulse. Despite the pain, the anger, the hurt, this was the girl of his dreams and she was in his arms, eagerly accepting his kiss. He slid his hand into her hair, grasping the thick strands between his fingers and tugging as the kiss turned hotter and he backed her against the vanity, his waist flush against hers, his hard erection cradled between her thighs. His cock throbbed with unappeased need, desire flowing between them. Until a hard knock sounded on the door, startling them into breaking apart. She looked at him, wide-eyed, the surprise etched in her face as strong as the shock rippling through him. “Be right out,” he called to the person on the other side of the door. He glanced at Andi, her face now flushed a bright red. “There’s no way to avoid walking out together, is there?” she asked. “Whether you go first or last, whoever it is heard my voice.” Her blush deepened. “Well, then here’s to giving them something more to talk about.”

Contemporary Romance

Blurb:
I’m a priest, a messenger of God, a good man. At least that’s what I would have them all believe.

She’s a lost lamb, cast adrift from her flock and seeking shelter from the wolves snapping at her heels. She’s looking for salvation, protection, forgiveness for her sins. I’m not the man to give it to her. But for the first time in my life, I want to be.

Little does she know…

For even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

EXCERPT:
“Forgive me father, for I have sinned. It has been one day since my last confession.”

I smile, instantly recognizing her voice, soft and well spoken, undoubtedly feminine.

“I will hear your confession.” I repeat the words I’ve probably spoken hundreds if not thousands of times. Mundane words meant as a service to God, but they feel wrong with her. Devoid. I lean forward, tilting my head slightly towards the partition because I don’t want to miss a word.

“I did a horrible thing, and I can’t forgive myself.”

Five days. She’s been in here for the last five days like clock work. I’m not even supposed to be here this afternoon, but I came in. For this. For her. She came the last time Father Daniels was taking confession, but she wouldn’t confess to him. Only me. And that does something to me. Five days, and she always says the same thing. I did a horrible thing, and I can’t forgive myself. And every day, I give her the same bullshit response. We’re both pretending, both playing a role. Maybe she needs that right now, to be the lost lamb, seeking her shepherd. But she never truly confesses. Whatever eats away at her day after day, she never gives it voice, but she will. One day. And oh, how I long for that moment.

Each time she comes here I’m on edge, waiting, desperate to hear the truth fall from her lips. I want to know what she did. I want to think that this girl, the pretty girl with the sad eyes is in fact corrupt. As corrupt as me even? The thought shouldn’t be so thrilling.

I press my back to the solid wood behind me, forcing myself to remain there and not lean forward, not to catch just a glimpse of her face.

“God forgives those who truly repent, Delila,” I say, like a broken record. At this point, she usually leaves, but not today.

“I do repent.”

“Then why do you come here every day?”

“Because I believe that I deserve to carry this guilt.”

“If you truly confessed your sin then you may find yourself absolved of it,” I prompt.

There’s a beat of silence, then her hand presses up against the divider, the intricate mesh pressing into the milky skin of her palm. The urge to touch her creeps up on me, whispering in my ear, and I wonder if she feels as soft as she looks. “Thank you, father,” she says, before her hand slides away and she leaves the booth.

BLURB:
I thought I was safe in the woods. I thought the aliens were the only ones I should be afraid of, but I was wrong.
There are greater evils I should have been prepared for. Ones that threaten to wrench me apart.
But then, four Vakarrans capture me. Make me theirs.
I want to fight, but as they share me between them, I'm unable to resist. They use me for their pleasure, and for mine, and soon, I'm begging them to ravage my world completely.

CHECK OUT THIS VERY NSFW EXCERPT:
“Don’t worry little dove. We’ll take care of you. We’ll make it all go away for a little while,” Taraik murmured and let go of my chin. He moved away then and Roan and Zac circled around me. Xandaar watched from the side, his arms crossed, leaning against the counter.
Taraik walked around me and took my shoulders, forcing me to lie back on the table. Roan and Zac took my legs and spread them apart and I cried out with shame, knowing that all of them could see everything, my thighs, my clit and my naked pussy. Everything illuminated by the light above us. Even now, I knew I was wet.
“Don’t,” I begged
“Look at this wet little cunt, just begging for some good hard discipline,” Roan murmured, sliding his thumb across my thigh as he moved above me. Whatever was about to happen, he was going to be first.
I shivered with desire, the unexpected feeling buzzing through me. It felt wrong, and I was reluctant to let it run free. These men were Vakarran. It wasn’t natural for me to want this. This was wrong. Surrounded by four of them, their dark purple skin and copper eyes staring down at me like lions on the hunt, I was reminded of the past ten years of my life spent in hiding, of how they stole my sisters and conquered Earth, enslaving all of humanity to their desires.

BLURB:

Who knew reading sexy alien abduction stories could get a girl into trouble? Or that an e-reader could also be the gateway to another galaxy? I definitely didn't... but here I am anyway, mated to the Tsenturion High Commander just like the unwilling human heroines in my favorite sci-fi romances.
The Commander demands obedience. He intends to claim me, train me, and turn me into his perfect little pleasure trophy. He doesn't believe in love. I don't believe in giving in without a fight. There's no amount of discipline or ecstasy that could break me to his will... I hope.
Alien Captive is a hot alien abduction romance, starring one feisty human and the Tsenturion Warrior strong enough to potentially master her.
Disclaimer: the authors are not responsible for any actual alien abductions that may result should you purchase this book.

HOT-HOT-HOT EXCERPT HERE:

“I am your Master.”
Dammit, that shouldn’t be so hot, but the muscles of my pussy flutter again.
“Gavrill,” I reply firmly. “High Commander of the Tsenturion fleet. But not my master. I don’t have a master.” No matter what he, Frllil, or my training has told me.
He frowns, which is intimidating as heck, especially when I’m flat on my back in what I can only assume is his bed, but after a moment his expression clears. To my annoyance, he actually looks kind of smug.
“Ah, yes, your courtship rituals,” he says seriously. “I will earn my place as your master by dominating and pleasuring you until your resistance is broken and you submit to me fully.”
I blink, nonplussed. “Excuse me? What courtship rituals are you talking about exactly? That is definitely not my how-to advice on dating.”
The little smile that plays on his lips is both hot and frustrating, like he thinks I’m lying to him or something.
“The Jabol provided me with manuals on your planet’s courtship rituals, they are copies from something they called your ‘reader.’” Turning his head, he nods at table next to his bed. I try to wriggle away from him to get some space and look to see where he’s looking at the same time.
But as soon as the small pile of books on the little table beside his bed catches my eye, I freeze in horror.
Oh fuck a duck.
They went through my freaking e-reader and gave those books to this massively large, already dominant, far too eager alien?! I recognize those names. Lee Savino. Golden Angel. Tracy St. John. Renee Rose. Aubrey Cara. Sara Fields.
Oh this is bad. This is so, so bad.
“Those are not manuals,” I say, now scooting away from him in earnest. Unfortunately, the bed is big and he’s on the edge closest to me, so all I end up doing is scooting into the middle of the bed which prompts him to follow, his eyes gleaming with interest. Crap! This is a serious Catch-22… I can either resist him, in which case he’ll think I’m following the stupid “courting rituals” of my dirty romances, or I can stop resisting him… in which case I’ll get fucked sooner rather than later.
