Stampin' With Darcy!
Howdy! Darcy here from Dj's Stampin' Place with a little tutorial for creating calendars in My Digital Studio.
The last calendar I made in MDS was in 2010, back when they released a yearly template. A few months ago one of my customers called me asking how to find the 2015 calendar template. I made sure my software was up to date, checked downloads, and had to tell her I had no clue. After going on a hunt, I finally found this great updated feature (that to be honest I think has been there for a year or two)!
It's a breeze to use! One great thing about it not being just a calendar template, is that you can add a June calendar to your scrapbook page if you wanted to highlight your wedding date with your photos, etc.
Here is a page from my completed 2015 calendar:
Thanks for stopping in today! You'll want to stay tuned for lots of excitement here the rest of this week. Tomorrow we've got some great New Year's cards to share with you. Thursday we've got a big surprise for you. On Friday we'll have even more 2015 calendar inspiration for you!

I Mustache....Do You Like To Party?
Good morning, Diana here. I don't know about you but I love parties and all the fun that goes along with them (if I had a perfect job it would be a party planner and personal shopper, haha!!) So this year we lots of friends turning 40, including my husband, and since we have 4 of the birthdays within a month of each other this summer we decided to have one huge party. Of course I decided to wait until the "last minute" but with My Digital Studio, my Big Shot, and dies I was able to pull off lots of fun elements for the perfect party that I wanted to share with you.
I hope you enjoyed all the details of these awesome 40th birthday party and see how easy it is to make the perfect party items for your next party using My Digital Studio, the Big Shot, our dies, etc. It's so easy and inexpensive and is guaranteed to impress.
The first thing I did was choose a theme and since we had 3 guys and 1 girl I went with blue/lime green/white geometric patterns. I purchased the paper lanterns, balloons, and fans at a party supply store and then added my own touches so everything was special. The first thing we did was create a photo booth (which are so popular right now) using a black background, paper lanterns, and balloons. We also created some mustaches and bow ties using the Big Shot, Mustache Framelit, and Bow die, along with open picture frames for lots of fun props.
Here's the photo booth all ready for fun.
Here are the open frames, mustaches, and bow ties for fun props.
Here are a couple of fun pictures of my family playing around in the photo booth. It was so fun to see friends posting pictures from the photo book on Facebook during the party!
Of course no party is complete with out food and we had lots of finger foods and desserts for all to enjoy. I used My Digital Studio to create food labels that match the colors and theme of the party (I love that you can change the colors of elements in MDS so everything coordinates perfectly). Then I just cut them out and attached them to cardstock tents so they were nice and sturdy.

Then I just cut them out and attached them to cardstock tents so they were nice and sturdy.
Here's another picture of the food (sorry I forgot to take pictures before the party so I had to take them during the party).
One more food picture, these Key Lime Tarts were awesome and who doesn't love dip in the shape of a 40?
Here's a picture showing how I hung some of the lanterns over the food buffet.
At the entrance to the party I had this table where guests could sign cards for each of the honorees (I made large cards by folding 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of cardstock in half so we had plenty of space to write and using the Envelope Punch Board to make coordinating envelopes for each of the cards. I also used the Big Shot, dies and 2 1/2" Circle Punch to make the center piece of the paper fan (I had these throughout the party).
Of course no party is complete without party favors (even for adults) so I made these little treat boxes (filled with M&M's) using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and I stamped texture on the boxes with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. The tag was made in My Digital Studio.
To make the tag I inserted a punch shape (don't change it's size so you'll be able to punch it out perfectly with our punch). I designed one tag and then grouped all the images and copied and pasted so I didn't have to make it over and over again. The tag says "Aged to Perfection, Vintage 1974" and once again I used the color theme so they match.
I also made signs for each honoree showing a baby picture and then a current picture as a fun tribute. It was really simple (I did use a retired Big Shot Die but you could easily use our current letter die for the same effect). The Happy Birthday is cut out of the Silver Glimmer Paper so it really sparkles and the cool thing is that it's an instant scrapbook page since I used a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock (I gave these to each of the honorees at the end of the party).
One final element I made was a birthday banner, once again My Digital Studio to the rescue. I just used a punch shape and this time I enlarged it to a full sheet of cardstock, filled it in with chalkboard paper for the background and added an alphabet letter punch so I could fill it in with patterned paper that matched our colors. I also added some star elements to the pennants before printing them out.
After I cut them out I added some bling in the form of stars that were cut out using the Big Shot, Star Framelits, and Silver Glimmer Paper. You can see below I even nested some of the stars when I cut them out so I had different size stars and some that were just outlines. Linen Thread was used to string it all up.
Want to know something cool about this banner? I specifically made the 40th part it's own pennant so I can reuse the banner and all the matching decorations for another party (awesome!!!)I also made signs for each honoree showing a baby picture and then a current picture as a fun tribute. A is for Apple...
...and E is for e-cutter!
Hi! Bree here from Craft-somnia Momma. Today I'm here to share with you a fun little creation I made using My Digital Studio and my e-cutter.
How many of you have entered the amazing world of e-cutters? I purchased one shortly after the last year's Stampin' Up! Convention, but have only just recently started really using it, and I LOVE it!!! Pair up with My Digital Studio (MDS), your creative possibilities are endless!
Last week was Teacher Appreciation week and I wanted to make something fun for my boys teachers, in the shape of an apple, of course!
I created this fun little box by merging the apple stamp from the A is for Apple stamp brush set in MDS into my e-cutter software. After a few quick clicks, the apple was re-sized and sent to be cut. Below are a few pictures of how easily this box was to put together:
Two apple shapes were cut out, one as the top and one as the bottom. I cut the stem off of the bottom piece of the box. Two strips of paper, measuring 1-1/4" x 12", were cut, to create the inside of the box. I scored each piece at 1/4" lengthwise (black line).
From the short side of the score mark, I cut from the edge of the paper to the score line every 1-1/2 - 2" to create a circle for the inside of the box.
Adhere first strip, formed into a circle, to the bottom side of the box using Sticky Strip or Tombow glue. Place the second strip inside the first circle and adhere the top side of the box.
The outside of the box was embellished using stamps from the A is for Apple Stamp and The Very Bestest stamp brush sets, some gold stars and sequins and a leaf from the Autumn Accent Bigz Die.
Thanks for dropping by today! I hope I have INKspired you to CREATE with your e-cutter today!

My Digital Studio with Kathy
Hi everyone, my name is Kathy Peck and today is my first time doing an individual post on the Stylin'Stampin' INKspiration blog. I have been wanting to play around with My Digital Studio for some time now and I thought this would be the perfect time to do it.
I started looking at what I had in my MDS categories and found the "On The Go" embellishments had the most adorable embellishments for little boys. I thought this would be a fun project to start with. Here is what I came up with.

I created a document and started adding the embellishments that appealed to me. I printed out that sheet of paper and then cut it down to fit on my card front. I printed out a couple of copies of this page in so I could play around a little. I cut out the "GO...GO...GO... so I could put it on dimensionals at the top of the card. I also added some Candy Dots to the wheels of the cars for a little more dimension.
This is such a fun program. Every week Stampin Up has new downloads that you can purchase, and they are so much fun to play around with.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Quick & Easy HYBRID Cards with Diana
Good morning, it's Diana! I have to say, what do we need to do to help slow down time, I can't believe we're already half the way through January, I still see Christmas lights up around the neighborhood. This is always a tough time of year, getting back to the school and work routine and I wanted to do something to help encourage my son, Aidan, during these days when he would pretty much rather be anywhere other than school.
I've decided to start sending little random notes in his lunchbox or backpack to remind him of activities, encourage him, or just let him know we love him. But I'm short on time. My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue.
MDS has this great download, Do Your Best Printables (Item #134922) that has 5 pages of predesigned little notes, embellishments, stamps, and punches that are perfect for the occasion. All I did was open the download and then picked the images I wanted. For some I also recolored them (I have a boy so most of the pictures with pink were immediately changed), you can also resize these so you can make them bigger or smaller to fit what you want to do (I could see making cute little tags for treats to encourage the kids during SOL testing.)
When I was happy with the pages I sent them off to be printed with Stampin' Up!'s awesome professional print services (but if your in a time crunch you can also print them on your home computer). I used the heavy cardstock so some of the images I can just cut apart, right a little note and they're good to go.
Below I have four cards I made using some of the images from the download and then embellished them with a little paper, ribbon, buttons, glitter, etc. for a little added fun. Below each picture I've listed everything I used.
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Pacific Point
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Basic Black Button, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Chevron Embossing Folder, Big Shot
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Brushed Silver Cardstock
Accessories: Silver Shimmer Paper, 1/2" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Labels Thinlit Die, Big Shot
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Silver Shimmer Paper, Envelope Punch Board (to make the matching envelope
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Lattic Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals
I hope you enjoyed today's cards and it's given you a little inspiration on what you can do using MDS in your everyday cardmaking to let those special people in your lives that you're thinking of them and think they are Fantastic.
Thanks,
Diana

My Digital Studio and A Birthday Party
Hi Everyone! Kim here! It's our first Individual Post on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog. Each month everyone on our design team will have a little time to shine and let us know what they have been working on lately. So here I go!
My Digital Studio (MDS) is such a fun program! It can be used to digitally scrapbook or make cards. There are also a few other items that you can make with the program and have Stampin' Up! print for you: Calendars, Photo Books, Framed Home Decor and more!
I used My Digital Studio this weekend to decorate for my son's 2nd birthday party! And I have to tell you that I had so much fun!
I used the Bday Under Construction Ensemble. See how cute this is...

Here is the Hybrid (part digital, part traditional) card I made my little Noah Man. I printed out the dump truck and 2 on my personal printer using My Digital Studio. One of the great things about MDS is that you can size your images to be however big or small you want! I knew which circle punches I wanted to use, so I just sized my images accordingly!
Supplies Used
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
DSP: Neutrals Stack
Punches: 2-1/2" Circle, 1-3/4" Circle
Embellishments: Chevron Ribbon - Smokey Slate, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon - Basic Gray, Candy Dots - Brights, Candy Dots Brad Bases
Adhesives: Snail, Dimensionals
I also used this Ensemble to print off a lot of fun party signs...
"Birthday In Progress" and "Attention All Workers Report for Duty" were on the front door.
"Caution" signs on the mirror. I also created the "2" pennant banners using MDS!
Here are close ups of the 2 signs on the fireplace...
I think this one is my favorite!
I printed a few random signs to stick on doors and walls..."Warning" and "Caution".
These little "Dig In" circles were on the cabinets above the counter where we had all of the food buffet style!
"Thirst Quencher" on the fridge where you could get some water!
Then I used MDS to create all of the images on the circle confetti. There were road cones, construction vehicles and lots of 2s!
Here is a close up of the cake because you know you wanted to see it! I'm pretty proud of it because I always mess up circle layer cakes...but you can't mess this one up because it's supposed to be messy! YAY!
And here's a little peek at my Noah Man blowing out his candle for the 4th time. Yes...he wanted to keep doing it, "Again". I think he would have kept going all night if we let him!
My last picture is of the back of the card my 4 year old daughter made for Noah. The front isn't all current Stampin' Up! but I wanted to show you these ribbons that she paired together as an embellishment for the back of her card! Who would have thought to decorate the back?!
I love the new Burlap ribbon with the stitched satin and grosgrain ribbons. So pretty!
If you haven't tried My Digital Studio, you can always get a free 30 day trial. Just visit the personal website of your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator or choose one of the Design Team Members from this blog (because we are all demonstrators!). And if you want to go ahead and get the full program, it's only $19.95 USD.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and we will see you back here tomorrow for some more fun!
