The Sweet Stop Sketch #212

It's finally Saturday and time for another fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop!  I have to tell you a secret.... Sketch Challenges are my all time favorite.

Here's what I came up with using this week's sketch and a Sweet 'n Sassy clear stamp set called "Nature Silhouettes 2".  The set also have a matching die that you can view HERE.

The main panel was sponged with various Memento inks then the silhouette image stamped with Versafine Tuxedo Black ink.  The border die was cut with Spellbinder Inverted Scalloped Circles.  The sentment is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Precious Poppies clear stamp set.  The sentiment is actually on two lines, but I used a Tombow marker to ink the words individually to accommodate my thin panel.  The finished card is 4.25 square which seems to be my favorite size to work with right now.

Here's a peek at this week's sketch:
Just a few things to keep in mind as you play....
-You do NOT have to use Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps images to play along, but we sure love when you do :).

Create With TLC - New Vintage Image

I'm popping in quickly to share a card I created using a new digital image from Create With TLC called "Roman Fashion Vintage Collage".

The digital image was printed on Stampin' Up! very vanilla cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I have layered it with Stampin' Up! basic grey cardstock and designer papers from the MME Bramble Rose paper pad.

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the design team inspiration.

The Sweet Stop Sketch #211 with a Prize

Good morning and welcome to another Sweet Stop Challenge sketch.  This week's sketch comes with a Spin - Going Buggy and a chance to win a $15.00 gift certificate to the Sweet 'n Sassy Store.

My card features one of the Sweet 'n Sassy digital stamp sets "Everyday Miracles".  For those of you who prefer traditional stamping, this set is also available in clear acrylic and available HERE.  I printed the digital image twice and colored one with Copic Markers then fussy cut and placed it on the main panel.  I added a little sponging and a few dew drops.  The coordinating designer papers worked perfectly for this sketch and all came from Basic Grey's PB&J paper pad.

I really like this week's sketch and I know it will be used again.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the inspiration provided by all of the Sugar Babies!  You can the complete list on The Sweet Stop blog.  Hope you get a chance to play along this week as well!

Meljen's Designs Challenge #159 - Mom

I wanted to share a card for this week's Meljen Designs Challenge for Mom's.  I colored this sweet Meljen digital image last week while I was traveling.  She is called Little Girl Bear Hugs and you can find her in the shop HERE.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils blended with baby oil.  I added 3D paint to the flowers and skirt for slight dimension.  All designer papers are from the Basic Grey pb&j paper pad.  The digital sentiment is a perfect compliment for this image and is from Create With TLC.

Finally, they layout of the card was provided by this week's Sketch Saturday challenge blog:

Sassy Cheryl Challenge #167 - Lace and Handmade Flowers

This week's Sassy Cheryl Digi Challenge is "Lace and Handmade Flowers".  I used the adorable "Sally Meets Bella" image for my card this week.  I'm not positive, but I think this image may be retired.  It's so adorable that I hope Cheryl brings it back to life in her new shop!

The handmade flower was made using a MFT Die-namics flower die and matching papers from the Echo Park This & That paper pad.  The image was colored using Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  Shading has been added with a charcoal pencil.  Below is a close up of the colored image.
The sketch is courtesy of week 258 Sketch Saturday challenge:
I am also sharing this post with the ladies over on the Sassy Cheryl Show Me Challenge Blog.   There is time left for you to enter the fun.  Hop over and check out the details!

Sassy Cheryl Show Me

Cheryl's Show Me Challenge is running for two weeks again.  There's plenty of time to play along!  It's super easy too.  Just share a photo (or photos) of what you have going on .... it doesn't even have to involve stamping.

Sorry, I've been MIA for a few days.  I have been out of town for work related training.  But I wanted to share a few images that I was able to get colored last week while I was gone.
You may be seeing a few of these used this week.  I hope you have a chance to check back!

Of course, while I was gone I missed both of my furry kids.  I was able to get this shot the day I left.  This is her favorite place to sit and watch what is going on outside.  I couldn't believe that she stayed in this position long enough for me to get this picture!
Doesn't she look a little mischievous?  What a goof!  Have a great week!

The Sweet Stop Sketch #209 and Exciting News

Happy Saturday!  Before I get to this week's challenge I have some really exciting news to share with you.  As some of you already know, Korin has closed the Sweet 'n Sassy digital challenge blog and made the really tough decision to focus on the clear stamp side of her business (which is booming!).  Since I was part of that digi team,  I have been asked to join the Sweet Stop Sugar Babies!  I am so excited to join this talented team of ladies.

Without further ado, here is my take on this week's Sweet Stop Sketch using Precious Poppies:

Here is this week's sketch:
Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  I hope you'll check the Sweet Stop blog for challenge details and join the fun.  While you are there, be sure to leave a comment for the Sugar Babies.  I know they'll appreciate it!

Stella Says Sketch #136

Wow, I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  The week is flying by for me.  I needed a  card for my cousin who will be graduating from high school next week.  I was a lucky winner of two bugaboo images last week and I chose "Grad Bear" as one of my freebies. Such a cute image and perfect for my cousin's card.

Here's what I came up with for this week's Stella Says Sketch #136:

Her class colors are purple and silver so I tried to stay close to those colors.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils blended with baby oil.  Below is a close up of the image:

Finally, here is this week's sketch.  I am a sketch challenge fan!  When I have a sketch to start a card the rest usually comes together much easier for me.  Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!
