30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 19 (Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #427

Good morning!

I'm back with today's gratitude card and today I decided to play along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge to change things up.  This color combo is definitely one I haven't tried before but really enjoyed it.

I started with Pebbled Path cardstock for the cardbase and then stamped with the Timeless Tiles stamp on Basic White using Mossy Meadow ink before matting it with Berry Burst cardstock to create the cardfront.

For the main stamped image I used the Color & Contour stamp set and stamped using all three colors on Basic White and matted it with Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I did add a piece of Glorious Gingham DSP for a different texture and pop of color.

The greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White and then cut out using the Stitched Shapes dies and matting it with a scalloped circle cut out of Pebbled Path cardstock using the Layering Circles dies and popping the whole thing up with dimensionals.

The final touch was to add a double bow tied with Linen Thread.

I love how this card turned out the classic style of the tile combined with the more artistic flower is so fun.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #339: Birthday Goodness

Good morning!

We're continuing with our quarantine craziness but at least the weather is supposed to be nicer this week so I'm looking forward to that.  I also needed a little break so I hopped into the studio for a little color therapy to play along with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge (look at these fabulous, springy colors!)

I used Smoky Slate cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black as the mat for the cardfront that's Seaside Spray Designer Series Paper from the 2019-2021 In Colors DSP stack.

For the main stamped image I used the Birthday Goodness stamp set and stamped in Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies before coloring it in with the Stampin' Blends.

I tucked another pattern of DSP, in Rococo Rose behind the stamped image for a pop of color.  To finish off the card I added some rhinestones, as well as a bow tied with Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon and the greeting which was stamped on Rococo Rose cardstock and attached with mini dimensionals.

I have to admit, this stamp set is one of my favorites, who doesn't love yummy treats, and I'm sad that it's retiring at the end of the month (I'll be holding on to my stamp set for sure!) so I can continue sending sweet, carb-free, birthday greetings.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing as inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge #PCC376: Timeless Tropical

Good morning!

I'm so happy that the sun is returning today, makes staying at home a little better.  When I saw this weeks Paper Craft Crew color challenge colors I immediately thought of the Tropical Oasis Product Suite and all it's rich colors.  I haven't had a chance to play with the items in this suite so now's the perfect time.

I started with Grapefruit Grove cardstock for the cardbase and then added a layer of Coastal Cabana cardstock as a mat for the cardfront using Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.  I decided to add another pattern of this paper as a belly band and matted it with Pear Pizzaz cardstock.

For the stamped image I stamped the large orchid from the Timeless Tropical stamp set using Coastal Cabana ink and Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out with the coordinating In the Tropics Dies.  I used a sponge dauber to color in the flower using So Saffron and Grapefruit Grove.  To finish off the coloring of the flower I took a Real Red Light Stampin' Blends Marker and added dots in the center and then sponged around the edge with Soft Suede ink.  I used the same dies to cut out two of the leaves (that's also embossed) using Pear Pizzaz cardstock and then lightly sponged it to make the embossing pop.

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink on Whisper White cardstock and then used the Ornate Frames Dies to cut it out before sponging the edges with Pear Pizzaz ink.  I added a piece of 5/16" Braided Burlap Trim that I frayed on the edge (love this ribbon trim!).  The flower is popped up with dimensionals.

I love everything about this card and it's making think beachy thoughts that will hopefully be here soon.  I've also decided since we're social distancing right now, it's more important than ever to mail cards to connect with friends and family and let them know we're thinking of them.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #336: Tags in Bloom

Good morning!

Today is the final day of Sale-a-bration 2020, how is that possible?  The first part of the year has gone so quickly, and is certainly not anything we could have predicted, all we can do is take one day at a time.  To close things out I decided to use one of the new SAB items, Tags in Bloom, for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.  I love how this stamp set coordinates with two of our new punches and has a great variety of images, I mean that greeting...it is perfect right now!!

I started with Pool Party cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock that was embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder (and then I added pearls to all the intersections.  I finished off the cardfront by adding a piece of Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack.

For the main stamped image I stamped the floral frame image on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends.  The greeting was stamped in Basic Black ink on Pool Party cardstock before punching it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch (I used the small flower stamp to stamp all over the background of the greeting piece for extra dimension).  Dimensionals were used to attach the greeting and Basic Black cardstock is a mat for the whole stamped image.  The final touch is a bow tied with some Poppy Parade Twine from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack.

I love the bright, cheery colors of this challenge, perfect to bring a smile to your day, which we all can use.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!
