Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #574: Bistro Burger

Good morning!

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend, it was great to take time to celebrate the Father's in our lives.  I decided to hold off sharing today's card, which uses the Paper Craft Crew Inspiration challenge until today so Chris wouldn't see the card I made for him.

When the Bistro Burger stamp set, and coordinating dies, were released I knew I had to have them as grilling and food is such a big part of our lives.

For this card I started with Basic Black cardstock for the cardbase and added a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper with the dark wood tones as a perfect background.  I stamped the burger, fries, and pickle image using Momento Ink on Basic White cardstock and then colored them in with my Stampin' Blends.  Not going to lie, I took a little extra time and just relaxed and colored to get the images that I really wanted.  Don't forget, the Blends Color Lifter is a must have tool when coloring to help add some extra dimension to your image.

Once the coloring was done I used the Burger Bistro Dies to cut the images out.  I also used the dies to cut the flames (and sponged them with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks) and the knife that is 2 pieces cut from Silver Foil Paper and Basic Black cardstock.

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cardstock and punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch

I used dimensionals to pop up the burger and pickle, and yes I used a real toothpick to attach the pickle to the burger!

This card definitely made me do a happy dance, and I think Chris liked it as well!  Also, just a reminder, you can buy the Bistro Burger bundle (and other bundles in the catalog) for an additional 10% through June 30 so if this is on your list order soon!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC525: Next Destination

Good morning!

It's been awhile but I'm back and playing with new products as well as the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.  Since we recently got back from our epic vacation I knew I had to use the Next Destination stamp set.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the base and added a piece of Let's Go Fishing DSP that's matted with Misty Moonlight cardstock.  Around this piece I added a piece of Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braided Ribbon.

For the stamped images I stamped the plane ticket and sunglass image on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the Layering Circles dies.  I used Stampin' Blends to add some color to the image and used the same dies to cut a scalloped circle out of Pebbled Path cardstock before attaching it with dimensionals.

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Crumb cake before being fussy cut and attached with more dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a few Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

This stamp set is not only good for cards but I see a lot of uses for it in my upcoming memory keeping projects from my trip, can't wait.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 4

Good morning and Happy Friday!

Today I'm heading home and while I've had an amazing time I can't wait to see my family.  Before I start my travels I wanted to make sure to share today's gratitude card, yes I'm getting back on track.

Today's card uses the Wildlife Wonder stamp set and as it's one of the Distinkive stamps the images have such great texture with just a single stamp.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper that's matted with Early Espresso cardstock.  I did also add another coordinating piece of DSP across the center of the card.

The image is stamped in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock before being matted with Early Espresso.  The greeting is in the same stamp set and was stamped in Early Espresso but matted with Crumb Cake after being cut out with the Layering Circles dies and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a single Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot.

With all the guys in my life I like to have some masculine cards at the ready and this one definitely fits the bill, but it most reminds me of my dad.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC381: Pedal to the Metal

Good morning!

While I know it's very easy to gravitate towards the flowery, feminine type cards we can't forget all the special guys in our lives (and since I'm in a house full of dudes that's especially true!)  The Pedal to the Metal stamp set (sadly retiring) is so fun and perfect for guy greetings so I decided to use it for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.

I started with Poppy Parade cardstock and then added the Crumb Cake cardfront with Basic Black cardstock.  On the cardfront I stamped on the background using the Artisan Textures stamp set (also retiring) using Crumb Cake ink.  I added a piece of Brights Designer Series Paper (in Poppy Parade of course) behind the stamped greeting to add that pop of color).

I stamped the buggy image in Momento Ink on Whisper White cardstock and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends, before cutting it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I matted the die cut with a larger oval cut from the Layering Ovals Dies using Basic Gray cardstock before attaching it with dimensionals to the cardfront.

To finish off the card I added the greeting which was heat embossed in Whisper White on Basic Black cardstock and then added some Silver Metallic Pearls as the final touch.

Doesn't this card just make you want to go play in the mud and have a little fun?  I know we're all looking forward to getting back to a little adventure so this will have to do until we're all able to get out there again.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.
