I got a FQ bundle of some Cotton and Steel fabric and I searched to find a pattern that would highlight the prints

I found this

Im getting better at mitered corners too!!!

Nice and big as Lola is holding it up over her head...LOL

so I dont really make resolutions 

BUT

 I did decide that I need to finish up all my unfinished objects

I start something new

this was really fun to put together

I got the idea here

I even sewed the backing with minkee- that stuff is my nemesis!!

another scrappy quilt

so...

Lola's bestie had a birthday this month. She is always watching me sew when she comes over 

 I decided I would make her a blanket for her birthday this year.

S

I used a mix of art gallery, heather bailey, and Momo prints..nice and bright

I backed it in super soft minkee heart fabric, perfect for snuggling!

she loved it!!

rainbow ruffle quilt

well I was messing around this weekend

I had this jelly roll around for ever and i just wanted to do something simple with it

I ran the strips though my ruffler and then sewed them down laying one on top of the other

I think it would be really nice with some shabby fabrics...hmmm

maybe I'll do that next

my February

feels good to put a dent in my massive stash of fabric!!

my first triangle quilt

ok so I love all these 60degree triangle quilts I'm seeing

 

I thought I'd give one a whirl

 

I used some fat quarters and solids I had on hand

 

I need to play around a bit to get my angles and seams  right but

I had a blast playing around

 

 I backed it in cozy flannel and a sharp white binding

 

well now that I have it figured out I will be making

 more of these babies!!!

a baby quilt

So I've been sewing up a storm here..

Lots of projects on the go

 

I had a baby gift to make so here it is

here's the card..

I colour up a stampotique stamp with some prismas then added glossy accents to the blue balloon

I love this wee bunny so much!

 

 

I used critter patch organic fabric for the quilt- so friggin cute

 

 

I used a very soft grey with a tiny print for the backing

 

Hope she likes it!!

charleston farmhouse quilt

and another one bites the dust.....

yup finished up another unfinished object!

I had a half yd of Freespirit Charleston farmhouse and some co-ordinating Kona 

so I started a quilt a while back

I finished it up this weekend!!

fig tree rag quilt

thought I'd share a full size quilt I did a while back

 

This one is a wee bit more traditional than I would normally do but Love it just the same

I had a few fat quarters of sweetwater's noteworthy so I figured it would make a cute child sized quilt

fort firefly quilt

so I finally finished up some sewing projects

 

this is a quilt I did with Birch organics fort firefly

 

I didn't use a pattern, I bout a bunch of fat quarters and just started cutting

I got these teenie tiny 2.5 square candy bars of Cosmo Cricket

Odds and Ends fabric and really didnt know what to do with them..

 

I bought them cause they were cute

 

they are no longer cute!!!

 

I've made 18 of these 9 patches

 

you do the math.....

 

I'M gonna do some solids in the same size as the 9 patch

 

I'm thinking that 2.5 sqaure are not the best for this kind of quilt...friggin PAINFUL

I used mostly Sweetwater Reunion fabrics for these

then this one was odds and ends of fine corduroy and pastel prints

and this one was DS quilts fabric..
