A Little Tag for Spring

 Hello lovelies,
it´s the first day of February and that means - a new challenge over at Country View Challenges!
This time the theme is: "First signs of Spring".
I made a little tag.

One of the first flowers in the meadows are daisies. I really love to see them blooming, it´s a promise for the warmer days to come.

I started with the wrinkle free technique and spreat DI speckled egg and old paper on my craft mat, spritzed with water and dapped the tag in. I dried it and repeated the steps until I liked the result.

For the background I used my brandnew  stamp and used the same DI for stamping. The result is very subtile, but I liked it.

Next I used a Shawn Petite stencil and DI black soot with a brush.

I felt, that something was missing and I used a RubberDance stamp with Archival ink Seafarer.

The little daisy I stamped with 2 RubberDance stamps from the Textured Flowers stamp set. First I stamped the stem and then the flowerhead from another flower.

I colored and cut out the flower and glued it to the tag. I made some highlights with white paint and shaded the ground with a charcoal pencil. Then I stamped the word spring with my little alpha stamps..

Last I added some pearls with blue and green pearl pens and last I threaded some ribbons through the hole on top.

Now I hope you will find some time to join in with our challenge! It feels good to make something spring related - in this times we need some hope for new beginnings!

Thank you for your visit!

Adventure under the Sea

Hello and welcome to my second project for the August challenge at Country View Challenges!

The theme this time is "I like to be beside the Seaside". You can make a beach theme or even a underwater scene.

This time I made a Art Journal page with a underwater scene.

For my background I spreat heavy body acrylic paints in different blue and green tones over the background and did some reverse stenciling with a stencil from Tim Holtz.
Then I stamped with a lot of the beautiful stamps from Rubber Dance circles and bubbles from a stamp set in blue and green distress oxides, and waterplants with black Archival Ink from the Doodle Boarders stamp set.
Now I stamped the lovely sea turtle and the shells and seastars on white cardstock and colored them with my Inktense watersoluble pencils and activated them with water. Then I cut them out and glued everything down. The words are also from Rubber Dance, called Journal Words. They are also stamped on white cardstock and cut out. Before I glued them down, I toned the white down with a blue Inktense pencil.
Now I added some bubbles with white paint and the help of several tubes, which came as a protecton for brushes. Then I made some lines around the words with a black posca pen.
Last I went with black paint and a palet knife over the edges to frame the page.

Here are some close ups:

That´s it for today.

Now I hope, you will show some beachy work for our challenge! You can win a 20 £ voucher to spend in the shop!

Thank you for your visit and have a good time!

Happy New Year my friends!
Today a new decade has started - unbelievable!

For our new challenge at Country View Challenges the lovely Monika has chosen the theme "Love".
I made a card for my daughter, inspired by the work of the gorgeous Veerle Moreels

I used a piece of watercolor paper, applied some watered down green and brown acrylicpaint on a piece of acetate, spritzed the watercolor paper with water and pressed the acetate on top of it. This gives a really subtile and unique spreat of color. I really love this!

When everything was dry, I stamped one ring from the stampset from PaperArtsy Eclectica3, designed by Seth Apter ESA12 with watering can Archival ink and toned it down with white Gesso. I also highlighted the inside of the ring with white Gesso.

Now I applied trasparent crackle paste from Stamperia in a pretty thick layer to my surface and left it to dry over night to let the magic happen - oh, and look! It crackled so nicely!

I brushed carbon black Antiquing Cream into the cracks and took away the excess with a dump cloth. Then I used Inka Gold Greenyellow to make it fit better with the background.

The tiny heart I made with clay. I colored it with Ecoline Liquid watercolor Carmine and added some glossy glaze on top. Then I glued it into the ring.

I randomly stamped a scriptstamp from another Seth Apter PaperArtsy stamp from the ESA10 stamp set with Distress Oxide peeled paint, sprinkled some of the same Ecoline Liquid watercolor in carmine as I used for the tiny heart and shaded the crackled area and the edges with grey charcoal.

Last I stamped the sentiment from the Rubber Dance stamp set "You Rock" on tissue paper and glued it down with matte medium.

I put the card together - and ready!

Here are some close ups:

That´s it for today! I hope you like my card and feel inspired to make something love-ly for our challenge too!

Thank you for your visit!

Stars! Christmas Card for Country View Challenges

Hello everyone, nice to have you here today!
It´s the first of December and that means - a new challenge over at Country View Challenges!
This month I am the host of the challenge and I want to see "stars" on your projects!
This can be on christmas cards, as a background, stars in heaven, or - you think outside the box and find some celebrities?

For my first project I have chosen to make a little christmas card, this time not traditional, but modern and colorful.

It is very hard to take a good photo, because the gold on it is so very shiny, look!

This is what I did:
I used the wrinkle free technique. I put DO picked raspberry and mermaid lagoon on my crafting mat and sprayed them with water. Then I dipped my paper on it and dried it with my heating tool.
I spread some DecoArt Extreme Sheen 24K Gold with a brayer on top...

and stamped the stars from the Rubber Dance Grungy Stuff stamp set with the same paint on white cardstock. Make sure to clean your stamp immediately, otherwise you can ruin it!
When the paint was dry, I fuzzy cut them and glued them, after I darkened the edges, to my card.

I stamped and embossed the Merry Christmas and added some stars with awhite Posca pen. The edges are stamped with one of the borders from the Rubber Dance Doodle Borders #1 stamp set and distressed the edges with DI black soot. Then I glued the paper to a card.

I hope you will make something with stars for the challenge too!
Thank you for your visit today! See you in a few days with my second project!

Two Christmas Cards - Easy but Elegant for Country View Challenges

Hello everyone, nice to have you here today!

Christmas comes in sight, so I decided to make a couple of christmas cards for my second post at Country View Challenges. The challenge theme this month is Hand Stamped, which means the vocal point must be stamped, not only the background or some parts of the project.

I was inspired by the gorgeous Blanche Siegmann. You can find her christmas card samples on her blog or on YouTube.

I used the beautiful stamp set from PaperArtsy Eclectica³ by Scrapcosy ESC07. It is available in the shop.

If you want to see how I put these cards together, you can watch my process video on my YouTube channel here.

Thank you for your visit today and don´t forget to play with our challenge! You know, you can win a 20£ voucher to spend in the shop!

Have a wonderful week!
