NEW BEGINNINGS CELEBRATION

Hello Everyone,
Today I finished my piece for the NEW BEGINNINGS CELEBRATION CHALLENGE #1 over at  CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE.
For my card I used 'HAMILTON CELEBRATES' by Naomi - he was one of her Freebies to play along with.

I made a hand cut swing card using a template from The Frugal Crafter, with Freebie backing paper by MEINLILAPARK. On one of them I added blanket stitch to make it seem like his picnic blanky :-D. The little picnic basket scene was a freebie from Digital Two for Tuesday, which I left as it was in black and white.
I had to 'flip' Hamilton coz I realised that he would be hidden when the card was shut, but not until I had stuck him on there  ....Pfffttt!!!  At least I managed to pull off the first one before it stuck fast without trashing the whole swing system LoL
He was coloured up and then printed out several times so I could cut him up and make him 3D with foam pads :-) I did say 'sorry' to him every time I cut parts of him off LoL :-D

FEELING CREATIVE

Well, I'm back again having been so ashamed of my Workdesk this morning on WOYWW #215, that I had a darn good tidy up and filled a black plastic bag with crud. Everything looks much neater now and I felt inspired to create something.
I was messing with a semi-cutesie image and trying to make it a little more 'other side-ish' and I came up with this.......

This little guy was drawn by Naomi of CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE, and she is sponsoring at The Crafters' Cafe this week. I have coloured him by 'paper piecing' digitally in PSE9. His background is 'Bats + Eyes' by Cute and Useful.

Welcome to my Post about a new Challenge site that is going.... some of you may already have seen the PATH OF POSITIVITY CHALLENGE  that is going. Well - I am co- Sponsoring Challenge #3 along with Creative Bug and  LISA of DECOSSEs' DYNAMITE DOODLES. This months' theme is... STRENGTH.

OK, so - you know I am a bit quirky and different don't you, so my demo piece for this Challenge is definitely 'off the wall'  hee hee LoL

MEET THE FLOCKERS

Good Morning Peeps, and welcome to Bit By The Bug Tuesday :-D
                                                   
Today is a new release day over at CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE and I was lucky enough to be given the new digis to work with. Naomi is still on 'Sicky Squad' and her Blog is being managed by the wonderful LISA over at DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES. Lisa started a special thing .... to get us to make cards for Naomi to hopefully cheer her up and also let her know we are all rooting for her :-) If you would like to join in there go HERE... scroll down a bit and you will see a message from Lisa giving the instructions on what to do :-) You can make a card up to 12th May, when Lisa will then post them all on a special Blog Post. Mine's in and the actual card it making it's way to Naomi by the proverbial 'Donkey Mail' :-D

So... back to my creations..... the new digi is called "The Flockers" and I made two projects.
My first is a Bob Voyage card. This image seemed to say to me that it would be great for a journey, so I put them on a holiday type background, added a compass coz I figured they would be going South, made a post card and then coloured the images with Copics, cut them out and mounted them with foam pads. I also added a tiny flock of birds that was a freebie from Digital Stamp Design. To get yours go HERE.

Then I got an idea about where they might be going, so I made a 3D project and call it 'Flocker Island' Here they are just arriving.

This time I coloured them digitally and printed them out twice - once on the 'flip, so they would look as good from the back. I also did the same with a palm tree, cut out a few extra leaves to stick on for 3D effect,  and then mounted it on a pipe cleaner. I stuck it into some clay in a small plastic dish and then put some tiny pebbles from the beach round the bottom. It would look great with some blue water in it too but I think my clay might suffer a bit.

The tree stands about 7" tall, so I enlarged my Flockers to suit.  The two halves of the image are sandwiched together on a wire so the birds kind of dingle around a bit in the breeze :-D. The smallest was a right little 'Flocker' to cut out and paste together round his wire !!! LoL

I think they work equally well in bright colours - it's such a versatile little image :-)

BIT BY THE BUG TUESDAY

Hello Tuesday Peeps,
In a little break away from the Dark schtuff, I want to tell you about Bit By The Bug Tuesday.
                                         
Naomi from CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE has a couple of Freebies for you. She asked me if I would colour up 'Maximus MacBunny' for her so I whipped up a twisted easel card. He was 'paper pieced' digitally and then printed several times to layer him up. I added a little diamond glaze to his specs too :-)

Now Maximus is the partner of 'Bellina MacBunny' who I won in a contest last week. I think if Naomi's not careful, she will be over run with little Bunnies :-D   LoL

The other little Freebie is called 'Angelina Flowertina' , and there's a lovely demo card for her made by Jo Ann  - so pop over HERE to snag yourself some cuties :-)

EASTER BUNNIES + St PAT's

Happy Saturday Peeps,
Here I am posting away whilst my internet seems to be doing real well... YaY. Thought I would stick loads of things on, so expect to be inundated with schtuff this weekend LoL

Now - since I don't do Easter, I thought I might get a few Creapster things done... hahaha

I recently bought some new OCTOPODE images and this one is called 'Norman and Nigel'.  Norman is trying to do his Easter Bunny bit in his own putrid, skanky way that only a Zombie Bunny can do !!! LoL  I made him into an ATC with a freebie background and also the egg basket from 'Easter Mini Kit' by Scrappers Emporium.

I also made a tag with a great little St Patrick's Day Teddy that was already pre-coloured and given as a Freebie by CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE....  thank you  Naomi :-D

I did ask her if I could cut the trees off him as I didn't want to use those this time.

I used some St Pat's backgrounds from Doodle Pantry - I pleated the tartan one but it doesn't show up well on here,  some clip art shamrocks, my own St Pat's Ticket digi and I added a Pin that I made. Button and feathers from my stash.

EASTER BUN BUN :-)

Over at CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE the other day, Naomi gave away a free image for Easter called "BUN BUN BINGES".
He's a fine little chap and although I don't do Easter, I thought I would colour him up and make a little card.
I coloured him with Copics and cut him out. The background is an Easter egg paper I got free a couple of years ago. I used a die cut for the fancy bit at the bottom and threaded it with some matching ribbon. Then - because Bun Bun is eating his sweeties - I used some sweetie wrappers to make flowers down the side :-)
I hope Naomi likes him :-D

Ooooh - just seen Naomi has a new release....Bellina MacBunny...

NEVER ALONE

I've been bit by the bug !!

This is a new digi that I got this morning from Naomi at CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE. It's called 'Boy With Bunny' and he's a FREEBIE, so why not go over and snag one (suitcase not part of him). He would be suitable for all sorts of occasions from Easter to birthdays. :-)  Naomi is a newbie with her SHOP, so why not pop over and see what she's got and give her some encouragement on her BLOG. 

I suppose I am being a bit "deep and meaningful" today, but this is what came into my head so you have to run with it - right ?!!

I have coloured him digitally and used digital paper piecing for some elements.

PLAYING WITH ATCs.... AGAIN :-)

Well, it's me again today :-)
This morning did not start well..... the water pump from our well to the house broke down and flooded the utility room and lobby and left me with a washing machine full of sofa throws that are now stuck in there and only half washed !!!. The pump can possibly be fixed but may need to be a new one AND it's half day closing on Saturday, and if they can't fix it, a new one has to be ordered from Athens. So that means no water until .... at the earliest Monday or anything up to lord knows when coz if the boats go on strike again, we don't get any goods or supplies !!!!!  Aaaahhhh !!! The quirks of living in Greece eh ??!!

Anyhoo - I digress..... I am back on my ATC kick and decided to enter a couple of Challenges with this baby.

This little chap is 'Mr Wool Daisy' from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY. I coloured him a little and then printed him 3 times and fussy cut him to layer up and make him 3D.

I embossed a piece of red card Cuttlebug's "Argyle" embossing folder. Then I used Crafts Too "Daisy Swirl embossing folder and smurged it with Archival 'Whispers' ink in Cherry red before putting my card inside and wacking it through my Big Shot. I quite like the effect but I am now going to have to wash the folder coz it's rather messy :-D  That actually comes out De-bossed coz of the side I put the ink on :-) Slightly distressed with the red ink round the edges and stuck on at a quirky angle and Voila !!

I found a new Challenge site (to me anyway) via  a new friend - Naomi's Blog - CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE.... it's called HIMCR... Hiding in My Craft Room... and they have an embossing Challenge going on, so he's going there too :-)
