Leaving on a.....

Today starts the beginning of a new chapter in our families lives. We are off to Calgary to find a new home and are really excited.(except for all the stinkin snow coming down ACK). So instead of the jetplane, maybe we should take the snowplow!!!

Before we leave, I just wanted to share a few things with all of you and let you know that I'm still here, just a little busy over the next few weeks. I will post when I can, so you will still have stuff to see. So don't be strangers. There will be little surprise candies along the way as well, so comment when you can.

This card was my final project for Urban Swank. I so adore Becky and I'm blessed to call her a friend. Becky thank you for everything!!!

I so love the circles and the butterflies on this one. Super pretty and cheery I think. I added a little ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type to finish it off.

Now off to finish some last minute packing. Take care everyone and we'll talk soon

She Turned 2

Have you ever used Urban Lily papers before? I'm finding that all of the collections go together so very well and I wanted to share with you my newest project that I created for the Urban Swank design team.

I've used a bunch of different collections and I so adore how this layout turned out. Yup, I was inspired to create a layout and I quite like the end result. Lots of layers and dimension on this one. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the layers and my "Heaven in a Tube" Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for that extra UMPH!!!

Here it is, a layout of our daughter on her 2nd birthday. Hope you enjoy.

The bakers twine is available at Really Reasonable Ribbon and comes in a bunch of colors. Go check it out. Here is a close up for you.

This weekend is going to be filled with visiting. There is something so special about visiting during the Holiday Season. Thanks for stopping by today. Let me know what you think. Until next time.

A little Urban Lily Goodness

I so love the bright colors of Urban Lily papers. The pairing with blacks and whites just makes them POP. I've got a couple of cards to share with you today using Urban Lily. If you are looking for somewhere to purchase these beautiful papers, take a look at Scrap-tastic. They carry a lot of Urban Lily goodness.

For this first card I added a Urban Lily Answer it Chipboard piece and glitzed up the heart with some Stickles.

This next one has a distress ink stamped area where I used water to blend. I think it is one of my favorite ways to use Distress Inks. I then heat embossed the sentiment and added a little more Distress Ink, direct to paper.

Thank you to each and every one of you for stopping by this past weekend for the Helmar Halloween Howler Hop. We had so much fun and we are so happy that you did too.

Until Next time

Butterflies Card/Tag set

Welcome to the weekend everyone. Hop you have a relaxing and enjoyable few days ahead of you.

Today I've got a card/tag set to share with you that I created using a bunch of Urban Lily papers. They are available at Scrap-tastic. For these two pieces I used a bunch of different collections and did a lot of fussy cutting and gluing lol.

The ribbon is one of my all time favorites from Really Reasonable Ribbon called Echinacea Hand-Dyed silk. Love Love Love this ribbon and its cousins in a great selection of colors.

Here is the card first. I added a little bit of red stickles to give it that little POP!

Then I paired this card up with a matching tag. I love how this one turned out. If you haven't guessed it already, I love butterflies lol. Does it show? hehe. The card has a base of an ATC card from the Flirtatious kit I love using these precut ATC's for tags, cards and layouts.

The black and white with that bit of color sure looks purdy. I'll give you 3 guesses how I got all that dimension on the card and tag. Can we say Liquid Scrapdots??? Yup, you know you just gotta try some.

Don't forget that I've got a blog candy going on right now. You can find all the information HERE. I am pretty sure there is going to be some of this delish hand dyed silk ribbon in the prize and a little bit of Urban Lily too.

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow our closest friends and us are driving to a great spot for a picnic and some fun. I'll take my camera along and see if my photo skills show up.

Toodles and Happy Crafting
