Amazing paper sculptures

These creations are made by a couple of Russian designers - Aleksey Lyapunov and Lena Erlikh. Please visit their site for more amazing works! I am in awe - the precision and the detail is breathtaking.

Clay sculptures

I get so excited when I find an artist who has a blog on blogspot. It almost feels like they are like a girl/boy next door, but with superpowers!
Irma Gruenholz is definitely a superhero, with her superior clay sculpting abilities that enchant the heart and inspire the soul!

Please make sure to visit her site and her blog as well (and become a follower).

Jeff Nishinaka's paper sculpture

Please join me in marveling over Jeff's amazing paper sculptures. While this is a small snipped of this Californian artist, you can see his work in a larger resolution on his own site.

Motorcycles out of old handwatches

I am endlessly amazed at the endless capacity of human kind to create beautiful things.
Artist Jose Geraldo Reis Pfau, from Blumenau (I must admit, I have no idea where that is) creates motorcycle miniatures out of old hand-watches. The details and the designs are stunning.

Please visit the artist's site for an extensive gallery.

Quirky wearrable art

Jillian Palone creates these quirky, colorful and beautiful little sculptures, some of which can be work as jewelry. I love it. the colors are so vibrant, and the lines are so simply, crisp, yet captivating.

Kyoko Okubo: Washi (paper) sculptures

Seems that I am on the paper kick. It's an amazing medium, and art that people can create with it is indescribable. This is from Kyoko Okubo, artist that creates these amazing sculptures from washi (Japanese traditional paper). The amount of detail is just breathtaking.

I am particularly fond of this last one, maybe because animals with large hopping legs have a special place in my heart.
