Kim's Photo Challenge for FFF!

Welcome to The Greeting Farm's second installment of Farm Fresh Friday for 2010! This weeks FFF challenge is brought to us by the super creative Kim Nath! Kim always has the most amazing project ideas!

I don't have a photo in mine yet. But, I'll be sure to snap one of my mergirls Marie and Jess next week! I also thought this would be a cute card idea to send to someone, so they can use it for a picture of their own.

For the fish's fin, I stamped and colored an extra set of fins for an under layer. I then cut up the top one and bent them back slightly for a dimensional effect.

This cold really knocked the wind out of my sails, so just a few quick cards. Being sick sure can ruin your creative mood!

*ADHESIVE TIP* The new Martha Stewart adhesive ROCKS!! I got the mini permanent rollers and I LOVE them!! They are like 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches x .75 inches. So perfect for smaller hands or kids! Easy to use and refillable!! And, best of all, it's slightly pink so you can see where you're applying!

For the strip behind the mermaid, I embossed cardstock, inked the raised areas, sprayed with glimmer mist, then inked the edges.

2 Sketches 4 You: Laura's Sketch 37

Here's a quick card I made based on Laura's sketch #37 over at the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. Be sure to check out the blog for some amazing samples by Laura and the DT!

These flowers are the funnest to make!! I discovered them today over at the Pink Paislee blog.

Just think of the possiblities!! You can glimmer mist them, glitter them....they are SO fast and easy to make. You can even cut the petals differently.
I coated one with Rock Candy distress paint. It's drying at the moment....

Tips:
The smaller you cut your square, the harder they are to work with. The flowers on my card above started out as 4", 3", and 2.5" squares. That little one was a pain!
Also, if you don't have big enough brads, you can use buttons. That's what I did.

Have fun!! I cannot wait to play and experiment with these tomorrow!!

Joni's Mystery Monday Challenge at Club Anya

Club Anya is now hosting Mystery Monday Challenges!
This week's challenge was hosted by the super talented Joni Wilson!

Joni's challenge was "JONI's RULE OF THREE'S".

1.) You must use these three colors: Pink, Black, and White
2.) You must use THREE different embellishments

For my 3 different embellishments I used rhinestones, pearls and Japanese washi tape.
And, I even used 3 Anyas. ;o)

I embossed first and then painted in with the Twinkling H2O's.

And, I just realized I forgot to go over Mermaid Anya's hair pearls with a darker color. Ugh. That's what I get for rushing!

Last week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge with The Greeting Farm was embossing. I LOVE embossing, so I was determined to get something done!

I embossed and then painted them with Twinkling H2O's in several shade of purple.
