Living in glass houses...

Well...Barb @ Sisters's Garden has been at it again...
does the creativity ever stop...
heck no!
Barb had the most cutest EVER lil' glass house
created with leftover windows and doors...
agree!!!

Don't know about you, but I just want to sit
and sip a mint julep and admire the work
that went into creating this lil' gem!

Everywhere windows of varying sizes...

Chippy whites and the green of the Earth...
have I died and gone to heaven...?

Out the back door(s)...
his and hers doors perhaps, but,
oh so chippy!
It even looks like there's an upstairs...

Now the fun part...
the decorating, wouldn't you love to play in here!

With the wedding of her son over and
only a memory away,
Barb is ready and chomping at the bit to get this
precious jewel filled to the brim...

Now about that mint julep...

Sumthins' always happenin' at Sisters' Garden...

I always look forward to my weekly visit to Sisters',
I have new toys in my space, to die for
French inspired chairs, who will be the lucky girl

White frames galore and cute lil' sayings dot my landscape...

This setting in the downstairs at Sisters' will take
your breath away and so typical of the style
of today...can she cook or what...!

Fun stuff abounds, as...

It's the name of the game for all of us in the biz...
tomorrow, shots of the stuff pouring in at the shops
for the open house this Friday and Saturday!

Hey...it must be Spring...right!?

'cause...
I just painted my first piece of furniture outside...WOOHOO!!!
Brought this sweet cupboard home from sisters' last week
and didn't think the weather was gonna cooperate at all,
but at last, the sun...forgot to take a pic
before I started painting it, but you can get the idea of the salmon
paint with lil' mallard decals on all the doors...NOT!!!

It's kinda hard to tell, cause THE SUN IS SHINING SO BRIGHT!!!
But I put a white-wash over the top of the French grey paint...
then sanded it watching not to uncover too much of the salmon.
But let me tell ya, don't be fooled by the sun, it was colder
than a witch's ___well, you know the story...brrrr...
but us hard-core painter/junkers work 24/7
rain or shine.

Cute lil' doors huh, they just don't make 'um like that anymore...

How 'bout that for a grand finale...SWEET!!!
Love the old red interior...AND...
I have the best smelling soap to display on the inside...
'Spanish Moss' in a pale grey color!
You're gonna love this display, so come check it out at Sisters',
it'll be on display tomorrow afternoon...
wonder what I'll drag home next...heehee...!

Bleak...yet promising...Sister's Garden...

Yes, bleak indeed, as Sisters' Garden and Bloom lie in wait,
as Winter slowly ebbs and Spring is ever so near...
the back porch at Bloom is always a delight, even after a cruel season
has ravaged...

The pond in the background is frozen still,
all is barren of life, yet the sound of a distant robin rings like a church bell,
reminding of what will soon be upon us in the frozen tundras...

So in the meantime...we putter around inside,
rearranging our stuff, trying to pull in bits of Spring to bring a smile
to our guests...you know, the ones brave enough to venture out
into our realm...

Thought I would use this old industrial shelving for display...
it turned out better than I expected,
it's rusty, greenish-gray finish is a perfect backdrop for the new
coffee scented candles I just dropped off...oh my...
the room not only has the wafting of delicate floral soap scents,
but now tempts you with that delicious note of java
brewing in the background...will you be tempted...yum!!!

Bits of garden art are starting to make their debut...
little metal , hanging envelopes and magnet boards,
made from vintage metal shingles display their garden message!

...and this sweet Victorian sofa SOOOOOO...needs to be in my house...SIGH...
Oh yes...did I mention it snowed again last night...

This time of year, it's just an annoyance...
just a dusting of a few inches...hardly worth shoveling the drive,
as the warmer temps coming, will melt it soon away...
ahhhh, Spring in the Heartland...
can you feel it...?

A new fragrance...from the dark side...

Edward...can you say swoon worthy!!!

Well, the hopeless romantic in me just can't resist visiting the dark side...
this is another new fragrance in soap, candles and tarts,
that's heading up to Sisters' Garden.
I love this wonderful scent, very provocative, as you'll read from it's description...

a unisex, incredibly sexy fragrance which begins with top notes of green citrus notes, mellowed out with powdery floral notes that appear to glisten. The middle of the fragrance involves the infusion of neroli, violet, and herbs, with a bottom of powdery floral musk.

Remember Barnabas Collins...oh yeah, heartthrob vampire of the 60's,
I know I was glued to the TV when this new soap arrived!

Why are women so fascinated with vampires...men told vampire stories of blood sucking monsters, as evil, scary and repulsive, women writers reinvented the vampire. They became suave, charming and the bad to the bone alpha males. They became sexy, romantic, powerful and the ultimate bad boy toys.

Women have always been attracted to the bad boy type, leather jackets, tight jeans, scars and tattoos...the ultimate bad boy. Like James Dean he was one of the first bad boys, they are the ultimate challenge, they do what they want, when they want and no one stands in their way. They're dark and mysterious, you never quite know where you stand with them. They keep it fun, exciting, and just a little bit dangerous. Women want to tame the savage beast. For any woman to bring a man like that to his knees it must be love, a dominant alpha male, strong and demanding, it's an escape from the norm and if it's fantasy you need...

Oh yeah...this is what I'm talkin' about!!!

White/cream...YUMMM...

Nothing says YUM like fresh lavender soap...

You should smell my house...like sunny lavender fields...

My new little cards...I'm a horse lover, so this little snap fit right
into my profile...and my ever changing biz cards...
hey, I can change, right...I'm a girl!

Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors...
white, white, white...
...can't help it, there's nothing like the romance of white...

...and old...

All will be heading up to Sisters' Garden this Friday...
so plan your trip!

Purchase soap at my ETSY...

Un-white Wednesday...

Well sorta...I was going to do White Wednesday today, but I took
so many great pastel photos at Sisters' today,
I just couldn't...
however, I did haul this awesome white farm table
up to Sisters' yesterday and Deb worked her magic
and made it fit perfectly 'long side that
wonderful old sink...how cool is that!!!

so how un-white are pastels and the scent of fresh lilacs...
so Spring-like...

...and robin's egg blue...doesn't get much more Springy...right!

...and pastel pink tutus, just wants to make you child-like again,
hey Brandon, this is what we need...
fluttering like butterflies around in your room
with all sorts of fairy tale dreams afloat in your mind...

...mmmmm...the soft floral scents adrift...

...and who doesn't need a violin case full of laces...

I'm going to predict that dried flowers will come back into vogue...
well, maybe not vogue, but farm style chic...
do ya think...

So gather yourselves together and head up to Sisters, we be rearranging
and gathering new delights...as spring cleaning is just around the corner...

WE CAN'T WAIT!!!
