creatures in the jungle

A cool tropical plant that we liked

This tree is covered in thorns and the sap is poisonous to keep the mammals away
(sandbox tree)

We watched this snake eat this frog. It started with its back leg and eventually got the whole head in its mouth.

There are lizards all over the place. We liked this iguana.

This is a howler monkey. They are have two very distinct big white balls.

There were a lot of these playing around in the trees dropping food.

Another lizard we saw. It is a baby. It will turn black as it gets older.

The bat was taking a rest in the gigantic roots of a tree.

This is a toucan we watched with binoculars in the trees.

Some rodent we found hanging out I forget its name.

Matt and I took a guide through the jungle and found a lot of cool creatures. I was eaten alive by the mosquitos, but Carlos, the guide, saved me with some bug repellent. I loved all the monkeys. There were a group of 30 of them jumping from tree to tree. Matt's favorite was the green snake eating the poor bull frog. I guess that's part of nature.
