My Favorite Song Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing My Favorite Song Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Decade Collection Roller Skating Ellie. There are ten dolls in the Decade Collection that come in both rubber and digital stamps. You can find all the digital versions here.

The Details of My Favorite Song Card

I had coloured this stamp with my Copic markers a while back…in fact, since I liked her so much, I coloured her twice at the time! Lol! So, I decided to finally get this one onto a card especially since I bought the perfect Walkman dies by My Favorite Things!

For my card, I thought that the Walkman would make a fun shaker. So, I built my Walkman using the dies and even added four layers to the red foam ear pieces to give them some dimension! I used a Window Sheet for where my shaker sequins would go. Once that was built, I added Foam Adhesive Strips between the top and the cassette paper to enclose my sequins. I thought that the cassette paper was a great backing for my Walkman! The skates and disco ball paper behind my focal point was perfect for my theme!

The sentiment was from a retired Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set, but you could easily type this out on your computer and printing it. It was stamped in black ink and die cut out using the Stitched Rectangles.

To add some sparkle to the card, I used Stickles on Ellie’s pompoms on her skates. For the musical notes, I used holographic paper to give them an iridescent look! Very hip for the 80’s. Lol! The final touch was adding Glossy Accents to her Walkman case.

My Kitty Love Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing My Kitty Love Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the New Release Kitty Love with the Snow Globe Bundle!

The Details of My Kitty Love Card

For my card, I decided to combine the Snow Globe Bundle with the Kitty Love stamp since the kitty fits so perfectly in the snow globe! I used Microsoft Word to size and insert the kitty into the globe. In addition, I used Word to add Happy Valentine’s Day to the plaque on the base.

I haven’t coloured a snow globe before and wanted to challenge myself. So, I used the 3.0 Mini Class Bundle from Kit and Clowder as a reference and used my Copic markers to colour the image. It was a lot of fun getting the shine on the glass! Once it was coloured, I added Glossy Accents to the plaque on the globe base and Stickles to all the hearts.

I decided to use the French Kiss Doodlebug Paper since it had hearts, envelopes, and happy mail on it. Perfect for my card! To ground the snow globe, I used a solid piece of red paper that was already embossed with hearts to add to my Valentine theme.

Next, I added some die cut hearts in opposite corners for balance. A die cut glassine envelope with die cut hearts inside and an adhesive-backed heart to seal it was added to mirror the letters in the mailbox.

For embellishments, I used a piece of white lace trim and white resin hearts.

Lulu with Pie by Noelene

Hello Crafty Friends, Noelene back today with some D.T. inspiration for the Paper Nest Dolls

Today I have created a card using an adorable image called Lulu with Pie.

My Love Potion Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing My Love Potion No. 9 Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Love Potion Avery from the Love Potion Set. This Set includes 3 stamps which are Love Potion Amara, Love Potion Avery, and the Love Potion.

The Details of My Card

For my card, I decided to create a fun faux shaker card. I have been wanting to make one for a while and thought this would a perfect card for it! My card is super easy and fast to make!

For those of you who don’t know what a faux shaker card is, I used a clear envelope over my project. I then added my shaker bits to the bag and sealed it. Easy peasy!

I love the Valentine Doodlebug paper that I used for the backdrop of my card. The sentiment piece was also from the Doodlebug paper pad, and I just framed it with my colour scheme.

Since I added sequins and hearts as my shaker pieces, I decided to go simple with the other embellishments. I added layered die cut hearts to one corner of the sentiment with a heart gem on top.

The Love Potion Set comes with the Love Potion by itself. So, I coloured it like the one Avery is holding and added it to another corner of the sentiment.

The finishing touch was Glossy Accents to her glasses and beaker and Stickles to the hearts in the potions.

Lovestruck Lulu - Happy Valentine's Day

Hello PND Fans! Betty here today. In just two weeks is Valentine's Day! A quick and fun way of making cards is using digital stamps from Paper Nest Dolls. I made this Valentine's Day card using the adorable the stamp called Lovestruck Lulu. This stamp comes in both digital and red rubber. I used the digital version so that I can get the stamp the same day I order it and make it the size I needed for this card.

I printed the stamp at 3-1/4" tall and colored it with Copic markers in the following colors:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: E93
Hair: Y28, YR23,YR21, Y21
Pink: V95, RV95, RV93, RV91
Green: YG95,YG93, E81
Silver/Gray: C5, C3, C1

The supplies I used to make this card are:
  • A6 white card base
  • "I Love Love" patterned paper from Scrappy Boy Stamps
  • "Burlesque" patterned paper from Scrappy Boy Stamps
  • Cut & Emboss Heirloom Frames from Stampin' Up
  • Sentiment from The Stamps of Life
  • Heart die cuts from The Stamps of Life Heart Button Dies
  • Pink and white baker's twine

The pink mat underneath the patterned paper and the sentiment are white cardstock with the edges colored with RV93 to match the colored stamp. I could not find colored cardstock to match.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you create some quick and fun Valentines Day cards with this Paper Nest Dolls Lovestruck Lulu stamp! Have a creative week! ~Betty~

Love You Lots Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing Love You Lots Card using Raining Hearts by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card.

The Details of My Card

My 28th wedding anniversary is coming up and I thought this cutie would be perfect for my hubby’s card from me!

I had fun colouring her with my Copic markers, especially the red! My hubby knows it’s one of my favourite colours. I even coloured her hair to look like mine when we first met. Don’t you love the falling hearts and her bucket filled with love!

The Smitten paper pulled out the red and pinks of my colouring. It has roses and hearts with keys on it. So, I decided to pull out my key embellishments as a nod to my Hubby having the key to my heart. I threaded it through some Real Red Ruffled ribbon to make it look like it was hanging from the card.

The die cut pink heart border added some popped up dimension to one side. All I added was some resin hearts to tie in the red colour scheme.

A pink stitched die cut heart and wooden heart added the perfect backdrop to my white embossed sentiment tying in my red and pink colour scheme!

This is The Valentine Way!

This is The Valentine Way!

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing my This is The Valentine Way! using Rebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. I just wanted to show how versatile the Paper Nest Dolls stamps are by making a Valentine card with this cutie!

The Details of My Card

When I was out shopping the other day, I saw some Baby Yoda Valentine cards for children to hand out. I had a light bulb moment that I could create my own Valentine with Baby Rebel!

For my card, I decided that I wanted it to be a traditional Valentine card with lots of hearts and pinks/reds/whites. I love the bright colours of the Doodlebug paper! So, perfect for a Valentine card! I thought it would be fun to place a red glimmer Valentine heart in his hand to give to you! Since he is a galaxy baby, I pulled in some stars but went with glimmery red and pink to match my colour scheme. A scattering of red rhinestones adds a bit more sparkle to this fun Valentine!

Love Train by Noelene

Hi all, Noelene back to share some D.T inspiration today using a sweet stamp set from the Paper Nest Dolls.

Have you started your Valentine's Day cards or are you like me & left them to the last minute? Well it's not too late to start!

Today I am sharing a box card I made using the super cute new set from the Paper Nest Dolls called Love Train.

Firstly I coloured my images with copics then fussy cut them. I do not own any box card dies so I created the card base from scratch. Bet you can't guess what's on my wish list now haha!!! Note I created the base of my card first before I printed my images so that I made sure they fit onto my card. Then it was just a matter of sticking everything in place & adding some strips of acetate to stick my hearts onto so that they look like they are floating up in the air.

Copics:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E40, E43, E44, E47, E49
Pink: RV00, RV02, RV04, RV08, R00, R81, R83, R85, R89
Grey: N0, N2, N3, N4, N5, N7, N9
Blue: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
Green: G00, G02, G03, G05
Red: R24, R27, R29
Yellow: Y00, Y11, Y13, Y18

Love Train is available in digital format here.

Love Potion Amara ~ Happy Valentine's Day

Hi PND Fans! It's Betty here today. It's not too late to make a few Valentine's cards! I made this card using a digital stamp called Love Potion Amara from the Love Potion stamp set from Paper Nest Dolls. So cute and simple to print and color! Add this to digital printable papers and you can make this card in no time!

I first printed the image at 3-3/4" tall and colored it with Copic markers. I then used an oval stitched die to cut it out. I used Distress Ink in Black Soot to ink the edges.

Copic Markers Used:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: R20
Hair: E39, YR24, YR23, YR20
White: C5, C3, C1, 0
Blue Green: BG13, BG11, BG10
Pink: RV14, RV13, RV11
Blue (glass): B01, BG000
Goggles (glass): B00

I used free digital pattered paper that I found on Freepik. It was Designed by macrovector / Freepik. I imported the image to Microsoft Publisher and added the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment. I printed it 6" x 6" then trimmed it down to 5.5" x 5.5" I added a black cardstock mat behind it, leaving an 1/8" border. Then I placed it on the 6" x 6" card base.

I added a strip of black cardstock at the bottom of the card where I used an older Martha Stewart border punch to create the edge. I adhered Love Potion Amara onto the card using double-sided adhesive foam tape. To finish the card, I added a few enamel dots.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you give this a try! Have a wonderful and creative day. ~Betty~

Will You Be My Valentine Viking?

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here! I am sharing my Will You Be My Valentine Viking? for my Design Team Inspiration for Paper Nest Dolls. I used Viking Andrew with mustache ties from the Viking Bundle. This bundle has three characters and two animals - Viking Andrew (with and without the mustache ties), Viking Owen, Viking Dragon, and Viking Boar.

The Details of my Card

I had so much fun colouring with my Copic markers this brawny guy in appropriate Viking colours! His colouring even matches another card called My Let’s Go A-Viking Card that I made for Paper Nest Dolls for their New Year’s Day Event. They would make a perfect pair!

For my card, I found some neat digital paper with Viking watercolour images that suited my theme. The Viking ships in the bottom panel were from an invitation in the digital package, and I just cropped it to include only the ships. I then had a choice of which ship to highlight and went with the red/white sail one to match my reds.

Since I plan to give this card to my Hubby, I kept the embellishments minimal with several die-cut hearts for my Valentine theme and a scattering of red rhinestones. I love how the Viking chipboard accents highlight the fun sentiment that I punch out with heart punches.

Queen of Valentines Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Laurie here sharing my Queen of Valentines Card using the digital version of Queen of Hearts Ellie. This cute stamp come in both a rubber and a digital version. There is also a Wonderland Bundle that consists of Queen of Hearts Ellie, Emma in Wonderland, Mad Hatter Avery and Mischievous Cat. Love this Bundle! You can also buy them individually. I hope to colour more of them in the future!

Queen of Valentines Card

For, my card, I knew that I wanted to make a Valentine’s card with this stamp. Something a little different. Hence the Queen of Valentines! I coloured sweet Ellie with my Copic markers and added Glossy Accents and Stardust Stickles in certain places to make her sparkle. The Down the Rabbit Hole paper was perfect for my card with all the crowns! I have had this Hearts Border Die forever and thought it reminded me of the Queen’s garden of roses in the book, but with hearts instead. I had fun creating my playing cards using a die from the Stamp Anniething, but it is easy enough to create them using other rectangle and heart dies. Of course, you have to have a Queen of Hearts playing card along with an Ace of Hearts and the “back” of a third card using the Valentine Paper with all the Valentine words. A die cut heart, white rick-rack, red/white twine, red rhinestones and a card charm tie this theme all together!

Raccoon Love Letter by Noelene

Hi all,

Noelene back again today to share with you a cute Valentine's card I created. For my project I am using the sweet Paper Nest Dolls image called Raccoon Love Letter.

I first cut out this envelope shaped box card S.V.G. file using my Silhouette cutting machine to create. I enlarged my image large enough to fit in front of the envelope. I printed it on plain paper first to make sure it fits neat & not waste my blending paper. The original image has the envelope, but I trimmed this off.

Once coloured, I glued my image onto my front of the envelope box card.

Isn't he the sweetest!

Raccoon Love is available in digital format here or in rubber in a set of 3 here which include 2 other adorable raccoon stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!

Raccoon Smooch - Hugs & Kisses

Hello! Betty here with a cute Valentine's Day card.Valentine's Day cards are my favorite cards to make. I love using hearts and red is my favorite color. I am using one of my favorite stamps from Paper Nest Dolls called Raccoon Smooch. This stamp comes in a set of three stamps in red rubber or you can buy this particular one in digital format.

I used Copic markers to color this stamp. So easy to color since it's only two color blends, gray and red! Colors are listed below.

Copic markers used:
Gray: W6, W5, W4, W3, W1, Blender
White: W3, W1, Blender
Red: RV17, RV14, RV13, RV11

This is a 6" x 6" card. I matted this card with patterned paper that I've had in my stash for years. I used heart dies and cut out a few different size hearts, a bow die, and a paper doily. No bow die? Just use ribbon. I typed up the sentiment, Hugs & Kisses, using MS-Word and printed it out.

A fun, quick, and easy card to make and mass produce and the stamp makes it the cutest Valentine's Day card! Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great day! ~Betty~

For my card, I used the sweet Emma with Panda. Even though this digital stamp isn’t a Valentine image, I thought that Emma made the perfect Valentine card with her panda! Wouldn’t you love to receive a panda like hers as a Valentine gift?
