{353} leftovers

a bit of a cop-out today because these are just the letters i cut out of yesterday's t-shirt. still, it's another name and at this point, i need any name i can come up with! only 13 to go!!

{352} t-shirt cut-outs

i was about to throw this old t-shirt in the garbage when i realized i had an opportunity to make a name out of it! so, i grabbed a pair of scissors and started snipping away. of course, once i put it on and it was stretched across my massive hips the name got distorted but it's there!

{343} socks

i had exactly enough socks in my drawer to make my name today (well, clean socks that is). this is one of those ideas that has been on my list since the very beginning and is finally getting done!

{220} dog shirt

there is a website where you can basically personalize any single item with any name or word that you want. so i typed in "lauren" (duh) and this was one of my favourite things that it suggested. i already did a name with "team lauren" but how awesome would it be to get george a shirt that said this. *die.

{65} fabric paint

i bought some fabric paint at michaels for this project. so, i went ahead and drew my name on an old tank top (i photoshopped the stains out! lol). not exactly going to wear this in public, but the tank top is so old and dirty and big (i tied it up in the back), that i wasn't going to wear it in anyway. maybe i'll try to sell it at the garage sale...

{31} ecuadorian scarves

wednesday was all about scarves. last sunday i had purchased two beautiful scarves from my friend mark who is selling them as a fund-raiser to raise money for a program in a small village in ecuador. the scarves are soooo pretty.

so, i wore one on monday to work and one of my co-workers loved it so she asked me if i could bring some in. so, mark dropped off a bag of them at work on wednesday and the women of my office went mad for the scarves! it was very awesome and for such a good cause. i did end up buying a total of 6 but two were for gifts.

so, i decided to use the four that i kept for myself to spell out my name. i didn't think i'd have enough scarves to do it, but it worked out pretty well. the first scarf is solid black with a gold thread, the second scarf is grey with a silver thread, the third scarf is a gradient purple and teal with a gold thread and the last scarf is gradient beige and teal with a gold thread. i love them all!
