Maggie Heart Treat Box

Good morning! Happy Valentines day!  Lucky me just got back from a fabulous trip to Mardi Gras! Our first time and it was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!  I'm tired and exhausted and will share more later....but since today is Valentines day I wanted to share with you my last project!!   A little treat box.

So simple to do. Cut out 2 heart shapes using whatever die or die cutting machine you have. Then I took a strip of cardstock that was 3" x 6". I scored 1/2 on each side of the 3" sides. Then I scored in the middle of the 6" long side. I then cut a notch at that score mark so that I could fold it. I adhered the strip to the hearts to form a box. I then added a simple strip of cardstock for the handle.
Since these do not stand straight, I would use a cello bag filled with candy for the stuffing!

I have used Tilda with Cozy Heart from Magnolia. The paper is XOXO from American Crafts.

Thanks for looking today!

Hugs,
Tracy

Image is LadyBug from Saturated Canary. Colored with Copics. the paper is from Love Notes by Fancy Pants. The heart die is La La Land Crafts. Love the latest dies by them!

You Warm My Heart- SOG Release

** This is my second post today, scroll down for the Whimsie / Ribbon Carousel blog hop!
***If you are looking for my Facebook Book Candy  - Come by HERE.

Gooooood Morning! Today the Some Odd Girls are sharing the latest Digi release!!  If you haven't seen the last couple of days come by the blog and check out the other 2 digi releases!

Today I am using - Cuppa Mae. I am NOT a coffee drinker, however, lately I have been sick and I have been grabbing coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate because it warms me up and makes me feel so much better!  I knew I wanted to play with Cuppa Mae. I had some ideas of making these little Keurig Boxes for sometime now and It's just the perfect image for it!!

I found this box tutorial online, however, the directions were ALL WRONG. I was so aggravated (as were many others when I started reading the comments, lol) so I did some tweaking and made it work and I love it. So, I am going to redo this and make a little tutorial to share soon.

I think I know what people at work are getting this year! ;-)  Perfect little something....

I colored Cuppa Mae with copic markers.  The paper is from My Minds Eye, one of their older lines. The Ribbon is V-Striped Twill from May Arts. The sentiment is from CTMH.

Copic Colors:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R02
Shirt: R30, R32, RV10
Pants:
Mug: YG11, YG13, YG17
Hair:  E21, E23, E25, E29

Thank you so much for looking today and be sure to come by the Some Odd Girl blog and take a look at the other Dt's creations and the other releases!

Also - Don't forget - I have Facebook Candy going on. Help me get to 400 Likes and it could be yours! ;-)

Think Pink - Blog Hop

It's time for a Magnolia-Licious Blog hop! This months theme is "Think Pink".  If you arrived here from Mindy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you might want to start at the beginning with the Magnolia-Licious Hightlights because I am certain you will not want to miss all the sweet treats that the DT have for you this month!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) is an annual international health campaign organized by major companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.  The Pink Ribbon symbol was used in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as the symbol of The Breast Cancer Research Fund she founded and is used to symbolize the fight against the disease.  We also honor those that have fought the battle and who are currently fighting the battle while raising awareness to ALL women to be aware of the symptoms and to be proactive against the disease.   Want to find out more?  The National Breast Cancer Foundation HERE for those in the US and globally at the PinkRibbon.org site HERE!
  • In 2011 Nearly 1.5 million women across the world were told they had breast cancer
  • One-third of breast cancer deaths can be decreased with early detection and treatment
  • In the US 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over their lifetime, an estimated 527 women are diagnosed in the US with breast cancer each day
The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Think Pink Month is about with ALL women!  We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!!  To show our support the DT has planned our own “Think Pink” Celebration and we hope you can all join in.  Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK Packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images.  You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious   .  So have fun hopping along to see all the fabulous Pink-a-licious Creations and make sure to stop back by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

For my treat box I used Tilda with Christmas Baking. She is currently available in the store. I colored her with Copic markers. The Breast Cancer Awareness was hand drawn by myself. I then colored it and cut it out.

I created the box myself. I knew I wanted a rectangular box, so I just sketched some dimensions and made the box lid a tad bigger. It was the perfect size for my chocolate chip cookies!

So next on the hop is going to be Patti Jo!!  So hop on over to her blog and see what sweets she is sharing!

Fun Friday - Treat Box

Good morning!  It's time for YNS Fun Friday!  This month we are also showcasing ways we organize things. Here's the thing, how does an unorganized person showcase that?? hahaha  Ok  I am not that unorganized....but I don't have anything that stores my items that is pretty...except my Ribbon Carousel.  I LOVE my Ribbon Carousel not only does it look pretty, it's functional and doesn't take up that much space. It's about a 7x7 square. Thats it!  So I have this bad boy sitting right at my workspace.

Did I mention how purdy it is????

Is this not just the most cutest way to store your ribbon? I bought this from The Ribbon Carousel and she even sells the spools that go along with it. Love the look, soooooo cute and tidy!

Now on to my project. this week I decided to make a Treat Box.  I like to make little boxes or other types of projects for a few of my co-workers for Halloween. This box called the, 2,5,7,10 box is quite simple and may be this years gift.

I have used the Creepy Crawly set from Your Next Stamp along with the Trick or Treat sentiment.

Copic Colors:
Hair/black stripes - C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
Purple - V00, V12, V15, V17
Jeans - B91, B93, B95, W4
Skin - E000, E00, E11

Thanks for looking!!

Disclaimer: I currently design for The Ribbon Carousel, however, I bought my first carousel well before I was ever on the design team. I truly do love the design and function of it. That is my opinion alone, I was not asked to say that or given any product to do so! I found a great product for organizing things and wanted to share it with my friends and followers!  Thank you!!!

Yummy for your Tummy

Good morning!! So In case you hadn't seen last week, I am now a member of the Magnolia-licious Senior Design Team! yay!  This week Cabio has challenged us to a project, she would like to see ANYTHING BUT a CARD!!  Well as you will see below, I did both.

Are you addicted to Pinterest??? I am. Seriously, it's like an illness or something. I can't NOT go on there and look for yummy recipes or inspiration. Pinterest is bad too, it makes you feel like ANYBODY can some of these projects. Ha...I wish! There are actually blogs out there dedicated to busting "pins" now. Funny stuff too!

Anyways, I was surfing some pins a few weeks ago and came by this super easy box from Cosmo Cricket using 1 - 12x12 piece of cardstock!  Yep..thats all!  There is step by steps and a video to show you how to do it too.

The little tag is part of the latest release - I used the Mini Tilda with Carrots.  Magnolia-licious is selling them in sets of 2 and they are a deal!  You get Mini Tilda with Corn along with Mini Tilda with Carrots.
This box is the perfect size to stash some treats or cookies. The inside space measures out to about 3 inches high by 2 inches wide and 6 inches long.
I had just made some yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies so I stashed mine with those! ;-)

I  decided to make a card to go along with my little box. For the card I used Tilda with Cherries. Both projects are colored with Copic Markers. I used copics to create the cloud background as well. The Tilda lace border die is a Magnolia Doohickey Die.  The Ribbon is Yellow Vintage Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel.

Now come on over to the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog and see all the other wonderful projects by this fabulous DT.

Hugs,

Some Odd Girl - Birthday Treat Box

Good morning!  I'm here to show you a little treat box that I created for iCopic.  I used Some Odd Girl cutie "Birthday Mae". The box is very simple to make and great for treats, gift cards or a small gift.  I use the same measurements for the box and adjust the height on it to make bigger or smaller easily.

I almost feel like I cheated with this project becase these papers by "simple stories" have all these cute little sayings and such in them. So I grabbed one of them for the Happy Birthday!
