MORE BAR-BRI NEWS

I got another check last week for sixty some-odd dollars. Shocked again! For the nosy folks out there, my last award check was summarily eaten by mandatory car repairs about four days after I received it. *le sigh*

Did anyone else reading get paid??

In other news, waiting to hear back after my first in-person interview in my new state. Stalled waiting for the next big step - AGAIN.

BAR BRI CLASS ACTION UPDATE

WOW, Have not heard anything on this front since 2006! Well, color me shocked; I got a check in the mail today from BarBri for a little over $300! Never expected that to happen!

The accompanying letter says that it is a partial award and that the balance of the settlement fund will be distributed "After all outstanding appeals have been resolved". I think that pretty much the entire leftover funds will be eaten by attorneys fees (oh the irony), but still a check is a check. Being in the non-profit sector, I never turn away cash! Anyone other readers out there get paid?

Those of you following this case know that notification of the class was initiated. If you want to be part of any payout you need to submit the claim form POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 17, 2007.
