Happy 4th of July America!

Happy 4th of July Friends!

I am a composite being of all the people of America.
I am the union if you are united.
I am one and indivisible if you are undivided.
I am as strong as the weakest link.
I am an emblem of your country.
I am a symbol of the shadow of the real.
I am a sign pointing to past achievements.
I am a promise of greater things for the future.
I am what you make me.
I am purity if you are pure.
I am bravery if you are brave.
I am loyalty if you are loyal.

I am honor if you are honorable.
I am goodness if you are good.
I am hope if you are hopeful.
I am truth if you are true.

I am the Constitution.
I am law and order.
I am tolerance or intolerance as you force me to be.
I am liberty as you understand liberty.
I am as a pillar of fire by night,
but you must provide the fuel.

I march at the head of the column,
but you must carry me on.

I stand for greater and more glorious
achievement than can be found in recorded
history, but you must be my inspiration.

I AM THE FLAG.

Anything but a card Friday!

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday! Today complete's my posting week over at the Pink By Design Team Blog. And today our post is all about non-card Father's Day projects. Goes along with our challenge theme this week. All about Father's. Be sure to link up your Father's Day projects if you haven't already. You can do so by clicking HERE.

For today's project I made this adorable lil brief case. You can find the cut file for this project in the Silhouette store, along with the mustache. It was a super easy holder to make and I think it is perfect for any man considering they don't care much about the bling and flashiness. And if they throw it away my feelings won't be hurt to bad.

Wacky Wednesday at More Than Favors

Hello Friends,

This week over at More Than Favors with Paula, She is hosting her bi-weekly challenge. These challenges are super fun, and she has awesome prizes.

This week the challenge is Birthday themed. Now this can be a card, a altered item, anything birthday related. Here is my design team project for inspiration.

I got the card shape from the Silhouette store, as well as the birthday hat, and sentiment tag.  Sentiment is from Pink By Designs " Birthday, Birthday " stamp set. I added some stickles to the stars on the hat so it would match the card stock. Designer card stock is MME " Party time " stack. Perfect for Birthday's!  The hat looked bare at the bottom so I added some Divine Twine and bling to the sentiment tag.

I hope you will join us this week over at More Than Favors. I can't wait to see all your projects! Have a great Wednesday friends.

Thanks A Bunch

Hello Friends,

As promised I have two posts for you today. Like I said before I can't seem to remember what day is which and when I need to post. Blame those pregnancy hormones.  Today's post is a feature that we have over at the Pink By Design blog. Every Wednesday we share a trick or tip with you. There have been lots of good ones so be sure to come by and take a look. This week our tip was how to rumple your ribbon. Now I'm not going to share all the details with you here, because I want you to stop by Pink By Design blog so you can see Paula and Gloria's projects using this tip. But here is my card using the rumple ribbon tip.

For this card I used designer paper from MME " Alphabet Soup " , I used my 1 inch punch to create the flowers. The twine is a mix of Divine twine and Trendy Twine. To get the stems of my flowers to stay I used Scotch quick dry. Sentiment is from Pink By Design March 2011 Stamp of the Month " Grow ". Ribbon and Buttons are from my stash.

So come on over to the Pink By Design blog and take a look at the other creations. If you use this tip we would love to see your projects. You can post them on the Pink By Design Facebook page.

Pink By Design Challenge: Spring

Hello Friends,

Seems I have fallen a little behind on my postings..So I have two to share with you today. And I'll have another one for ya'll tomorrow. So first of all, I want to show you a card I made for the challenge going on at the Pink By Design blog. This week the challenge is anything Spring related. For example...flowers, birds, bee's, Easter, rain if you live in the pacific northwest :)

For me, seeing all the baby sheep, and baby farm animals being born is Spring. So I created this cute little sheep tag.

For this tag I found a journal shape from the Silhouette store and just layered it 3 times, to give it more dimension.

Sheep shape is from the Silhouette store as well, I embossed his wool using the Tim Holtz swirlz embossing folder. I applied glossy accents to the swirlz and then sprinkled glitter. He shimmers! Designer paper is Websters Pages and the bling is from Recollections. Seam binding is my own. Sentiment is from Pink By Design " Hoppy Easter ", a button and divine twine finish this little tag off.

I hope that you will join us this week for this challenge, there is even a prize up for grabs :) You can either go to the Pink By Design Blog, or link up your spring projects here! Have a Fab day Friends.

Lucky Me Southwest Card

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to share a quick card I made for Wacky Wednesday over at More Than Favors. The challenge is " Something Green ". You're project can be anything, as long as it has something green on it. Pretty simple right? So head on over to More Than Favors and join the challenge.

I am also entering this card into the Cricut Southwest Designer Contest. I think this cartridge is my new favorite. I love the Southwest, and anything Western. I can see many home decor projects being made with this cartridge. I decided to make a SW card to give to my horsey friend, who is letting me lease her horse with option to buy. We are pretty lucky to have the option of buying this amazing horse for my daughter. The county in which I live decided to bring back 4-H YAHOO!!!!!! I think this is a great program and it teaches our children so much! So her horsey Lennox is going to be in 4-H with her. All thanks to our amazing friend. Jolene has been taking riding lessons for over 5 years now in Hunt seat, she has shown dedication and promise. It's not just a faze with her, so I think it's time for her own horse.

Here is my card, and you can find the directions to it in the Cricut Project Center.

Products used:
Cricut Cartridge Southwest
Cosmo Cricket Wanted Paper Stack
Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy
Cuttlebug Folder from Oriental Weave set

Here is my daughter on Lennox. He has not been riden in over a year, so we're working on getting him back in tip top condition.

Alright my friends, I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday and please do not forget about the challenge going on over at More Than Favors! Have a great day!
