We've moved

Our new Indiana blog is now up and running.  Just a word to the wise, never put the city you live in in your blog address. You never know when you might up and move and you will have to change everything.

I tried to keep it simple so here it is:

In changing my blog name I did see that Blogger now allows you to post larger pictures. I always wanted to do that and now I can.

I have posted pictures of our new home. I love it!

Emma

Avon Ward- Trunk or Treat

Trunk or treat fun. We had a great time at our church activity. We sure missed our old friends we realized. It was strange to go to a church function a know no one. It mad us all a little sad.
Remember how I said that it wasn't hitting me about moving, well it is now. The people are soo nice here. I have made some good friends. I just wish I could see my other friends too.

Hmmm... I thought we looked cool. I am not so sure now. We felt cool if that matters.

I just got a new camera. One that is a little easier to use, a point and click. I am not sure if I had the settings wrong or what but the quality is not so great. Bear with me while I figure it all out. I love the ease of the little camera but I gotta have decent quality.

Not my own

It is going to take some getting used to renting. Gavin has decided to become and artist. There are little, or not so little, scribbles all over our apartment. I think they're sweet but I am sure the owner will not. I hope those Mr. Clean erasers really work. I will be trying them out.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins this week which is good for us. The last couple years we carved them the day after Halloween when the kids would say "Mom, we never carved our pumpkins."

Abby carved Texas into her pumpkin. That's my girl. She did a pretty good job, I think.

Yes, Emma has a knife. We were all very scared.

This is Juan, a friend of Lance's from work. The kids loved having a friend over.

Indianapolis Zoo

The kids didn't have school today so we went to the zoo. It is all decorated for Halloween. The weather was . . . well, not rainy. We enjoyed all the animals, dolphin show, petting zoo, roller coaster and train ride. We got a membership so we will be back.

This tree had all the different colors of fall on it. Amazing! I am sure my friends here are so tired of me oohing and awing about the beautiful fall colors. I can't get over it.

Speaking of my friends here. . . This is Nicole and Alison. They are the kind friends that invited us over the very first Sunday we came to church. Both of their husband's work at Eli Lilly so that is kinda of neat. Thank goodness for nice people. It has really made this transition nice.

Fall Break

Today my kids are out for fall break. We went to the Pumpkin Patch, Hayride, and Corn Maze. Also, we found a rental home. Yeah!! We will be moving around the first weekend in November. Can't wait. You know I will be posting pictures as soon as I can. We do have to switch wards and schools. That's ok, there is a reason for everything. That is my new motto.

Here are a few pictures of the area we live in. I am in awe everyday. I never knew trees could turn so many different colors.
This picture is on a running/biking trail. Gorgeous!!!!!
Below: Out our back door (of our apartment)
There are lots of open fields, just flowing green grass. You have to understand that our neighbors in Vegas had turf for their front yard. One of my favorite parks had turf. Yes, fake grass??? Green grass is not easy to come by in Vegas.
This is Gavin's favorite seat in the house, thought it was cute. I know I say this a lot, but this kid is BUSY.

Silly Kate. We were playing around the other day. I thought I would share.

We miss all our wonderful friends in Vegas. Thankfully, we have been fortunate to have some friendly people here to help bridge the gap. We got invite to dinner (Cafe' Rio Night) this last week. Super fun.

We enjoyed going to the park this week. It has rained so much so we appreciated the sunshine. I am so amazed at the trees.

Gavin is exploring constantly. He lately realized how to climb on the stove.

We love to Skype. Emma,Kate and Ethan are chatting to the Okuda girls.

Lance and Kate have been bonding lately. Kate loves to read and dance with her daddy.

We just celebrated Kate's 3rd birthday.

Another reason we loved this area is because of a restaurant we tried "Flapjacks" the best breakfast in town for sure. The crowded parking lot was our first clue.
Abby and Lance shared a banana split pancake.

I am a sucker for these kind of pajamas. Nothing like a distraught boy in a one piece.

Ha, Ha. I had to post this one. Kate better enjoy her final months as the older/stronger sibling. Gavin is getting wiser every day.

These two are wrestling partners. I usually don't mind this but in our spacious apartment it can be a bit nerving. I guess it is all normal. I remember my brothers sitting on me threatening to spit on my face. (that is what mr. ethan is doing )

Playing the WII together. This is the best place in the world for Ethan and Emma I am afraid. Video Games!

One of the reasons that we liked the area we chose to live in is because of the awesome Recreation center that the city has. Here are a couple pictures of the inside pool. We love this place.
