The Sweet Life - a layout with Paper Camellia's December kits

Here's my last layout with Paper Camellia's December kits. I really liked the gold glitter details and wanted to use a lot of them in my layout.

I placed the paper vertically to balance the horizontal line that the photo, title and the embellishment create.

To add a pop of color to the layout I used the stickers with hot pink. I wanted the gold and the glitter to be the main embellishment but a hint of bright pink added more interest to the layout.

Beautiful - a layout with triangles

Lately I’ve been using a lot of geometric shapes and I just fell in love with the ”Dazzle” paper from Maggie Holmes that was included in Paper Camellia's December kit! Those triangles had to be used!

As the triangle pattern is a bit busy I used white space to balance the layout. As my embellishments I used the stickers from Shine collection. The glitter word thickers are great as you don’t need to place them on a straight line.

Are you a fan of geometric shapes?

You darling - a layout with the color blue

Here's my second layout with Paper Camellia December kits. The combination of Maggie Holmes’ Shine and Amy Tangerine’s Finders Keepers works so well together!

I’m not a big fan of the color blue but I just fell in love with the hue on that Amy Tangerine pattern paper. I wanted to keep the colors really simple so it’s just blue, white and black. The big letters from Maggie Holmes that were included in the embellishment add-on made the layout come together so easily!

Smile - a layout with flowers and paper strips

Yesterday was my turn to blog at Paper Camellia's blog. This layout was done with Paper Camellia's November main scrapbook kit. This layout is all about flowers and paper strips!

I sort of cheated a bit with this layout. I didn’t want to measure and cut the paper strips on a right angle as at least for me it would have taken too much time. My solution was that I cut just cut regular paper strips of the papers and placed them in an angle to the white cardstock. Then I trimmed the cardstock slightly to even the edges. So the layout isn’t a true 12x12, but slightly smaller. I don’t mind that the layout is a bit smaller but if this is something that bothers you, you can either mat the whole layout to another pattern paper or cardstock (or not cheat and cut the paper in angle from the start).

Love this - a layout with Paper Camellia's November sketch

Here is a layout I made with Paper Camellia's November’s main scrapbook kit and November sketch. The sketch this month is stunning and making a layout with it was so easy!

You can see Paper Camellia's sketch challenge from here!

I followed the sketch pretty closely this time. I really liked the basic design with the paper cut in half. As my main embellishment I used flowers that I cut out from one of the Pink Paislee’s pattern papers.

This layout is about a comfort food (which in this case means mac ‘n’ cheese). I don’t know if it’s this season or what but I’ve been craving for some comfort food this fall!

Hello - a layout for Paper Camellia's November reveal

It's November already, how did this happen? As it's the first day of the month it means that I can share my first layout with Paper Camellia's November kit. The kits are so pretty every month, make sure you get your own from Paper Camellia's shop! You can see the full reveal from here.

I must say that I love those cute arrows from Pink Paislee! And that fox puffer sticker is adorable!

DIY - a layout about DIY camera strap

Today I want to show you my last layout with Paper Camellia's October kits. In this layout I wanted to use a bit lighter colors.

This layout is put together mainly using just embellishments. The stickers and chipboards from the embellishment add-on kit were perfect and helped to pull this layout together in less than 15 minutes.

The topic of this layout is a DIY camera strap I made myself. The camera sticker from Dear Lizzy was a perfect embellishment for this layout

The future is bright - a layout with two triangles

I really loved My Mind’s Eye’s colorful pattern paper that was included in Paper Camellia's October scrapbook kit. I definitely wanted to use that on one of my layouts. As the pattern is so bold I wanted to balance that with white background.

The design of this layout includes two triangles: One from pattern paper and one from embellishments and picture. Together these create an interesting design.

One of the main embellishments on this layout is a heart I cut from the pattern paper. That paper is so versatile: you can cut so many interesting shapes from it!

Today - a layout with Paper Camellia's October kits

Here is a layout I made with Paper Camellia's October main scrapbook kit and embellishment add-on. I really loved My Mind’s Eye’s colorful pattern paper so I definitely wanted to use that on one of my layouts. As the pattern is so bold I wanted to balance that with white background.

To create an interesting background I cut out some diamond shapes from pattern paper. This was inspired by the yellow paper from My Mind’s eye. My other inspiration came from the picture. In the picture my husband is balancing on a slackline and I wanted to add a piece of ribbon to the layout to represent this. To finish off this layout I added few embellishments and black mist splatters together with a black title. I really wanted to use a bit of black on this layout to bring some contrast.

Journaling block - Paper Camellia's October reveal

It's October and time to reveal Paper Camellia's October kits! This month I got to play with the main scrapbook kit and embellishment add-on. In this layout I used them both and was especially inspired by the products from My Mind's Eye My Story collection.

See the full reveal and get your kits from Paper Camellia's website!

Sometimes writing the journaling to the layout is hard. I really wanted to document my thoughts and "my story" at this moment to this layout. This year has been hard in so many ways that I just couldn't write it. I feel that somehow my life is like a full spectrum of colors. I'm so blessed in so many ways but I have experienced things that are from the darker side of the spectrum.

I'm focusing on the good and happy about the exciting things that are happening. Some day I will finish this layout with my story, with all the colors.

Notes - little notebook with kit left overs

Today I want to show you a little notebook I made with Paper Camellia’s September Main Scrapbook kit. That gold striped speciality paper from Crate Paper was perfect for making a notebook cover! The paper was sturdy enough to hold all the other papers together.

I decorated the cover with the alpha thickers and a cluster of stickers. I used a bit of extra glue for adhering. This way I can make sure that the embellishments will stay in place.

For the inside pages I used mainly copy paper and some pattern papers from the kit. As the purpose of this book is really to be a notebook I didn’t decorate the inside pages.

Cute - a layout with a lot of word stickers

Yesterday was my turn at Paper Camellia's blog. This time I shared a layout where I used a lot of the word stickers and die cut phrases as my main embellishments.

I started this layout by adhering the photo and the ”sweet” sticker to the white cardstock. At that point I didn’t have a specific idea how this layout will turnout. I added some paper strips from pattern paper to fill some of the empty space. I lined all the word stickers and die cut phrases to emphasizes the horizontal lines of the paper strips.
