Creep it real shaker card

Hello friends!
Aimee here and I have a fun Halloween card to share with ya. This is a pretty simple card but be warned, the fussy cutting is no joke 😂

We're using stamps from plate 1503 today.

Here's most of the supplies-

First, stamp your image onto card stock and color. Cut out.
I used Memento ink and colored with alcohol markers.

Add your patterned paper to the card front (cover the entire card front.)
My patterned paper is actually a foilable card panel from Brutus Monroe.

Create a shaker with acetate for both the front and the back.
I used a shaker kit from Close to My Heart and goodies from Sizzix & Picket Fence Studio for the fill.

Stamp the sentiment and cut into a strip. Mat it onto some black card stock.

Add your image to the card and bend her neck a little.
Place the shaker over her head so she's peeking through the shaker. Add the sentiment.
I added some sequins as if they are trailing out of the shaker.

I LOVE the way this turned out!

Supplies-
  • top fold card base, adhesives, stamping ink, coloring tools, scissors.
  • Plate 1503
  • shaker stuff

Bride of Frankenstein

 Hi Lovelies

This is my first Blog post as a Design Team member.

I love gloomy stuff, so I decided to use the Bride of Frankenstein for my tag.

For the background, I used a barbwire stencil and embossed it with clear powder.

I used different green tones of colour spray.

The bide's face was coloured with Distress Reinker and a water brush.

The quote was embossed with white powder.

The following two images are close-ups:

Used stamps:

Bride of Frankenstein 19906

"Dream Big" Art Journal Page | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here to share my latest VLVS design team project with you. Today I am sharing a whimsical style art journal page that I created called "Dream Big".

I used a range of stamps to create this page, with the feature being (of course) that gorgeous Unicorn. The majority of the stamps I used come from plate #918 and plate #1437.
(For a full linked list of stamps, please see end of post.)

In addition to the VLVS stamps, this page used fairly limited supplies - Ranger Distress Oxides; a Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Brush Marker; and a Stabilo All pencil.

I love the "painted" look that stamping with Distress Oxides gives, especially when layered over the soft, blended background.

If you would like to see how I created this page, there is a process video available on the Viva Las VegaStamps YouTube channel:

VLVS stamps used:
- Unicorn
- Dandelion Silhouette
- Flower Border
- Flower Book Plate
- Pure Imagination
- Dream Big
- I hate reality
- Bursting Stars
- Sky of Stars Background

Other materials:
- Jane Davenport art journal
- Ranger Distress Oxides
- Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Brush Marker (clear)
- Stabilo All pencil (black)

Thanks for stopping by today so I could share this, I hope I have inspired you to get inky too!

Altered Book Box

Hello to you all here in blogland!!! I am so excited for this week because we are teaming up with Art Anthology to bring you tons of inspirational creations.

So you don't miss out make sure you check out these links:

For Viva Las VegaStamps
I was thrilled that we got to do a swap with Art Anthology and even better I got to work with one of my favorite colors on top of some other colors I magically have in my dash of inky goodness. I decided to dig in my bin of things to be altered. Do you have one of those or am I the only one??

So first I gave the paper ache book box a coat of gesso. Then I used the stamp Dictionary Page - 19015 to stamp all over some tissue paper.

Then I covered the front of the book box with the paper using a matte gel medium. I added the medium to the book box itself though not the tissue paper. I then decided to use the stamp Butterfly Specimens - 19415 on the front as well in random spots. After that I wanted to hurry up and add some color. Just in case I covered the front with some clear gesso and after that dried I went to town adding some Colorations Spray - Waimea Bay all overground the edges. Then I sprayed my mat and used the bottle of the bottle to add some color rings (aka you can use the Double Coffee Rings - 19568 or Coffee Ring Stain - 19230 as well).

Here you can see some close ups of stamping and splatter.

The chipboard I painted with gesso and covered with some Colorations Spray Mocha and brushed certain parts with the Velvet Paint Kona. I just loved playing with Art Anthology along with my VLVS. Keep coming back for more inspiration!
