You will be getting a tree in no time. But these cute ornies are neutral enough they can hang around all year long, as well.

They come in three.
Not much going on besides the new schedule of "things to do", so I'm still adapting. My recent computer crash has me reinstalling software after software to get back on track.
I did finish this painting. "The Yellow Dress", a triptych on gallery wrapped canvas.
This is a 3-set of 4 x 5 inch canvases, that are ready to hang. The 3/4 inch, staple-free sides are painted, as well. Acrylics used; varnish is sprayed on, glossy finish.

MERMAIDS, MERMAIDS....What fun to be one!!
I'd like to thank Keri Joy, for her lovely offer to let other artists post on her blog! THANKS, KERI....you are a lovely lady in more ways than one! Since, Keri has so graciously offered this opportunity to share my work on her blog, I thought I bring some of my original designed, one-of-a-kind fiber sculpted mermaids here for a visit.
The photo above shows the largest of my "wall" style mermaids. She measures 15" tall. Her upper body/face are 100% silk fabric. Her tail was designed from one of Laurel Burch's whimsical sea creature designs. Her hairdo was designed from a multi-colored Italian yarn, and it has a bit of sparkle to it. Her accents are real sea shells, and Swarovski crystals. Her face has been individually hand-drawn, needle sculpted and hand-painted.
The mermaid above is the largest of my sitting style mermaids, and she also has a tail designed from Laurel Burch's colorful seahorse designed fabric. She is holding a unique, enameled fish in her hands. An "offering" from her magic kingdom below the sea.
This tiny, colorful mermaid is the smallest of my "wall" style mermaids. She measures just about 6.5" tall. I designed her colorful hairdo using about 4 different types of yarn. Her accents are Swarovski crystals and real sea shells.

Old World Primitives
Etsy: Your place to buy & sell all things handmade oldworldprimitives.etsy.com |
Hi, I am Stephanie Baker, guest blogging via the wonderful and generous invitation of Keri of Wall Dancers. :) Old World Primitives is my business name, and I make handmade primitive folk art. I use only natural materials in the construction of my dolls (mostly new, some vintage) and then stain, paint, sand, and grungy them up to look old. Primitive folk art can look right at home amongst antiques, or is fun if you just want to add the appearance of a little piece of rough and simple history to your home.

La Perle Jewellery
Cloud 9 would be a good way of describing me since Saturday!! I opened my Flickr account to find a warm and friendly (as only you American's do best!!) invitation from Keri to join this wonderful new blog. I’m immensely flattered as everyone on here is just so talented! Thank you Keri – you’re a very generous person!! xx
In truth, I’ve only just stumbled across Keri’s amazing wall dancers. Sharon of Mana Moon Studios had included one in an Etsy Treasury which prompted me to take a look. Sharon has a brilliant knack of hunting out the unusual and the creators behind them are always such gorgeous people!! I wasn’t disappointed! Keri, your wall art is so fun and just so funky!! I LOVE it!!
I make jewellery – mostly wire work at the moment as it’s my current passion. I’ve got a shop on etsy if you would like to take a peek. I haven’t been open that long, but Sharon from Mana Moon Studios (sorry, I know I keep mentioning her, but she’s been such an enormous support to me and has become such a wonderful friend!!) encouraged me not to give up and consequently I’ve had a few sales all of which have sent me spiralling up to heaven!! I love using quality components such as sterling silver and gem stones, but I do like to try and keep my prices as low as I can as I believe every woman should be able to own a handcrafted item of jewellery that hopefully exudes a touch of class!!
