Want2Scrap Your First Breath Layout

Hello Want2Scrap friends, thanks so much for stopping by!  It is Linda here sharing a layout created using Want2Scrap© products.   I have used one of the 12x12 Overlays,  I love the sentiment and it is also a favourite with my DD2 - it is perfect for these precious moments.  You can see the other products that I have used as you follow along with the tutorial.

Where do you start on a layout - the 12 x 12 Overlay takes a lot of the 'overthinking' out of it for me.  I started by adding blue card stock behind the sentiment - securing using  Double Sided Premium Tape by Want2Scrap - 1/4" x 150 yardsThin strips of patterned paper have been adhered across the layout between each row of photos.

One piece of Floral Border 4 Pack - Chipboard Embellishment was adhered to the top corners, then sponged using Imagine Wedding Dress ink, followed by highlights of Teal Zeal - using a sponge dauber.  A large flower from Little Birdie Crafts Paula - Artic Ice  has been glued to the centre of the Floral Border and  two flowers from the Little Birdies Valarie - Artic Ice has been adhered yo each side of the flower.

Swirls Finesse - Le Creme Pearls - 2 Pack Self Adhesive has been trimmed and added to each corner - popping out from under the flowers.

our first breath took mine away - Antique Silver charm has been adhered between the top two photos, using twine that has been wrapped around the layout and secured at the back using glue.  The matching sentiment is the perfect addition. Sentiment Stickers from my Stash have been adhered to the photos.

Want2Scrap Wanted for Stealing Hearts - Page 1

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here and I am excited to be sharing another page in my Album with you - a Work in Progress.  I love the Wanted for Stealing Hearts Chipboard Album and enjoy sharing the process with you.

As I showed you in the previous post the album has an opening for a photo to show through from page one - I have cut/embossed a photo of Noah on his actual second birthday - I love this photo - he had been to Build-a-Bear and made the Bunny - the Bear is from his 1st birthday.  He was exhausted and not too well due to two year old molars trying to come though - poor baby!  Being the doting Nana I am, I could not resist taking this photo - and of course it had to 'make the cover' on this album- which you can see HERE. - now onto page 1....

I have used the April - Beautiful Script Chipboard Word above the photo, keeping it kraft rather than colouring it and added stickers to complete the date of Noah's birthday.  An Authentique Paper tag is tucked into the side of the photo and Foam Stars from Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L have been foiled using their 3D Foam Creative Embellishments Kit and randomly added to the layout.

The number two base from the Filigree Numbers Etched Dies has been cut/embossed using kraft card board and the die used as a sponge inking the inside of the cutting edges using brown ink.  This has been added to a banner from the Oh Happy Day Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken Stamp and Die Set, the sentiment is finished using stickers. I have also used corrugated cardboard as an embellishment, along with a few other word stickers.

Want2Scrap Wanted for Stealing Hearts Album - Cover

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here and I am excited to be sharing an Album with you that is a Work in Progress.  I adore Albums and have quite a few to make up - but other things just seem to take priority - until I discovered the Wanted for Stealing Hearts Chipboard Album. I have just begun but wanted to share the process with you.

It may come as no surprise to you that the STAR of this album is our Grandson, Noah.  I am madly trying to catch up on the photos I have of his second year and birthday, before he is 3 in April.  Today I wanted to share the front cover with you....

I have used the Brick Stencil and Gesso randomly on the front to go along with the 'Wanted' theme, once dry it has been sponged using Imagine Memento Inks in Espresso Truffle and Rich Coco.  I have added different papers behind the title that will co-ordinate with the album - at some level! Wink:wink. Lastly I have added his name using stickers.

As you can see in the photo above the album has an opening for a photo to show through from page one - I have cut/embossed a photo of Noah on his actual second birthday - I love this photo - he had been to Build-a-Bear and made the Bunny - the Bear is from his 1st birthday.  He was exhausted and not too well due to two year old molars trying to come though - poor baby!  Being the doting Nana I am, I could not resist taking this photo - and of course it had to 'make the cover' on this album.  I will be back with the first page in another post!

Want2Scrap - Now is the Time

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here again from 'The Land Down Under' -  thank you for stopping by! I am sharing another page from my ART Journal, using Want2Scrap products.  Journaling is something that is really growing on me -I love the way it is open to your own interpretation.

I began by creating what I thought was going to be an ATC (Artists Trading Card) stamping a clock front using Bronze Embossing Powder onto a music sheet.  A metal cog embellishment has been glued to the centre of the clock face and a small black rhinestone has been added to the centre. I added some colour to the image using Chameleon Art PensThis has been adhered to various layers to give texture and dimension - I have limited myself to what is lying on my desk.

The sentiment has been created using word stickers and a key word embossed in red to stand out. I have used the White Gel Pen to define some of the words to add more definition. Cogs from the Die D-Lites Gears Etched Dies using Beacon Adhesive liquid glue and sponged them using Imagine Inks. Nestabling Hearts Circles - Black Rhinestones has been added around the top cog.

Jute - Chenille Braid, 7/8 inch Natural has been trimmed to size and glued below the former 'ATC' and large pearls from the 250 Count Pearls White have been adhered along the braid.  To finish off I have sponged one of the hinges from the Card Size Antique Keys w/hardware - Chipboard using Imagine inks.

Want2Scrap - Live by Inspiring Others

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here from 'The Land Down Under' -  thank you for stopping by. Today I am sharing another page from my ART Journal, using Want2Scrap products.  Journaling is something that is personal and open to your own interpretation - but I am loving the journey and often work on a page late t night when the house is quiet - it helps me unwind - and that has to be good - doesn't it!? Wink:Wink!

I began by randomly stamping the paper using Seth Apter Window 3 Stamp and Imagine Memento Ink in Espresso truffle - this was the base for  my hand made patterned paper.  Next I have sponged the stamped paper using random inks.  I used the Seth Apter Pathways Etched Die as a stencil, using Imagine Creative Medium and a spatula.  One this had dried I added some colour to the texture using Chameleon Art Pens and outlined using White Gel Pen. Stenciling is such a a great effect and very quick and easy - so many mediums can be used - ink, paint, gesso just to name a few.

I adhered strips of hand made patterned paper I created and have used a couple of times on this page, along with some yellow braid.  Want2Scrap Baby Bling - Black Rhinestones - 100 Count - Self Adhesive has been adhered along the yellow braid.

The sentiment from the  Inspiring Others Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk.  The Die D-Lites Here Kitty Etched Dies has been cut using black patterned paper and adhered to the right of the sentiment using Beacon Adhesive liquid glue.

The small wings from the Angel Wings - Silhouettes have been glued to the back of the cat, along with a red heart from the Bling Hearts - Pink and Red Rhinestones.

The black Shapeabilities Inspire Birds On A Wire has been glued across the top of the stenciling using  Beacon Adhesive liquid glue and a sticker sentiment added above the Birds.  I have used the White Gel Pen to define some of the stamping and to add some random splotches.

God's Blessing on Earth Layout

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here on the Blog and I am excited to be sharing another layout with you today - created using one of the 12x12 Overlays - I cannot emphasise enough how easy they make scrapbooking - definitely a great way to find your starting place!

My layout today is inspired by one of the things my beautiful Nana wanted me to remember in life...

'Family is God's blessing on earth - Isla Labone

I have used various Alpha Stickers to create my sentiment around the title of the overlay.  Glitter Washi Tape - Toffee has been added under the stickers and a little more sentiment has been added.

Below the first row of photos (of my 'adult children) I have added a strip of torn patterned paper and embellished it using Swirls Finesse - White Pearls - 2 Pack - Self Adhesive

The beautiful butterflies are from Kaisercraft and has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors, the colours highlighted using Chameleon Art Pens and liquid glitter lightly added.  the wings have been popped up using 3D Foam Squares.

Gimp Loop Braid 1" Ivory lace has been adhered along the base of the photos using strong tape and  250 Count white Pearls have been adhered along the lace.  White paint has also been randomly added to the lace.

Want2Scrap Mixed Media Journey Card

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here, thank you for stopping by. Today I have a Mixed Media card to share with you, created using an eclectic mix of products including Chipboard, Washi Tape and Border Bling.  You can see how it all comes together below.

I have started with a pre-cut card base and some negative Die cuts from the Seth Apter Trifecta Etched Dies as my card front.  A Small Strip of both the Toffee and the Blue Washi Tapes have been added to the top corners and the card front is layered onto white card stock but slightly larger and adhered to the card front using double sided tape.

The Owl is one of my handmade embellishments using Paper Clay and coloured using Chameleon PensIt has been adhered to the centre of the negative dies using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry.

BEAUTIFUL BLING BORDERS BY NINA BRACKETT - CHEVRON  have been added  below the owl and one strip along the lower edge of  the card front.  The Border comes in individual strips and are easy to use separately or create rows of them.  Three co-ordinating feathers from the Die D-Lites Two Feathers Etched Dies have been cut/embossed and lightly sanded.  These have then been tied with fine twine at the top and adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Small beads from my stash have been added to the ends of the twine.

The Journey - Fancy Chipboard has been coloured using  Chameleon Pens, I have coloured it three time to give the depth of colour and then added a coat of Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Electric Yellow.  Once this has dried it has been adhered to the top of the card using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry.

Random splatters of the Pico Embellisher in Electric Yellow have been added to the card front, along with light splashes of white paint.
