So, last night was the pigface show....I get up to the place in chicago several hours early to ensure a good front rown center spot in the crowd, which I did get. IT's a pretty chilly night in Chicago and the city is definately living up to it's nickname, "The Windy City." Before the show, I met Jason Miller from godhead again. He was sans make up, which was really weird to see. He seemed to be in a bit of a hurry so I just wished him luck and let him go on his way. So, about an hour before we were let in they start posting signs that saaid that the show was going to be videotaped and that by entering the premises we are giving permission to have our voices and bodies used on video. I'm not sure if they taped every show or just this one. If anyone out there can let me know I would appreciate it. So, the show starts and some local chicago band opens up. I wasn't into this band at all, and it seemed like a very odd choice of a band to be opening up for an industrial show. After this band, Godhead came on. They did a pretty good job, like they usually do. I took one roll of film of them while they were performing. Then Gravity Kills came on. I am not a Gravity Kills fan and after seeing them live I know that I never will be. I was not impressed by their show. So, after them, they start setting up these screens to block the crowds veiw of the stage. After a while some music starts and there are a lot of lights shining beind the screens. You can see the figures of the band members and shining flashlights from behind the screens. Then after a little bit of that, Chris Connely (I know I probably spelled it wrong, but at this point in time I am too tired to care) came out in front of the screens and played a song while the people behind the screen spray painted various images onto the screens. Some of them were pictures, others words. One of them said "Pigface rocks" Anyway, after the song ws over, they took away the screens and then you could see the entire stage. It was an amazing sight to see that many good musicians together. Several songs into the set Meg finally comes out and durign the first song she was involved in, she grabbed my hand and used it to support herself as she leaned over the top of the crowd for about a minute or two. They did a lot of crowd interaction, a lot of them jumped onto the rail and hung out in the crowd. It was really cool to see that because most bands don't do things like that. So, a little bit later in the show Jared spots someone who has a big blow up doll, and he grabs it from her and does several pseudo- sex acts with it in several different positions before disguarding it into the crowd. The doll gets knocked around for a while and it gets punctured and deflates and somehow gets back on the stage. Jared picks it back up and stuffs it down his pants then throws it back out into the crowd. I managed to grab it and hold onto it for the rest of the show. It was an amazing show, amazing set list. Towards the end the bassist from godhead came out and he had a bottle of champaye and he shook it and popped the cork and sprayed it into the crowd. I ended up getting most of it I believe because I got some in my mouth, eyes, all over my coat, and on my camera. I'm not sure what happened for a minute or two after that because I couldn't see. The crowd was very crazy, as was the band. Jared was doing all kinds of crazyt hings. He got himself all wrapped up in a bunch of chords and he pulled down some of Martin's drums. I don't think that that was planned. Then they came out for the encores and some one had inflated a large raft and it was just floating along on top of the crowd and Meg jumps on it and surfs far out into the crowd while on it. It eventually tipped over and she fell into the crowd, but she made it out safely. Then the bassist from godhead decided that he wanted to try it, so he went out for a while as well. He eventually made it back to the stage, and one of the other guys, I can't think of his name damn it. I think he was laying keyboards or something, but anyway he went out for a trip on this raft and he floats all the way out to the balcony and he reaches up and climbs up the balcony from the top of the crowd. It was a great show, perhaps the best show tha tI have ever seen. I'm sure that I have left out a lot of things, but as I now sit here at 2 pm Indiana time on sunday having just got home and not slept yet, being covered in champayne, beer, sweat, blood, rain, and who knows what else, I can't realyl think of anything else to say about the show. So, after the show is over, I head out to go outside and Jared is out in the lobby signing things. So, I went over to him and had him sign the blow up doll that he molested on stage. So then I wet outside to wait and see if I could meet any of the band memebers. Now, I thought it was cold before the show. Outside, late at night in December in Chicago is NOT somewhere you want to be. It was unbelievably cold and the wind was very strong, which added to the declining temperature. Most people decided to just go home and only a handful waited around. First there were about 7 people, then after an hour there were only five and then another half hour goes by and there are only three of us dedicated, hardcore (or just plain fucking crazy lunatics...you make the distinction) fans left waiting. We are freezing our asses off. We are all barely able to move and struggling to move our mouth enough to talk, yet we remain there waiting. Finally, Levi comes out and I talk to him for a minute, shake his hand , tell him good show, and have him sign the blow up doll. I also got a picture of him and I. Then we wait around for another 15 minutes or so and Meg comes out and we talk to her and I get her to also sign that blow up doll. Then one of the gys leaves so it is only two of us remainign and it is about 3 am Chicago time by now. After waiting a bit longer, we saw the guy from hate department, Jared, and that other guy whose name I do not recall offhand. Well, we talk to them and I have them all sign the doll, and then when they are done signing it, I turn around and right there is Martin Atkins. So, of course I had him sign the doll as well and I took a picture with him and told him that that was probably the best show that I have ever seen and that I hope to see them around again soon. I do not spend too much time talking to martin, only a few minutes, because he is noticably freezing so I let him get into the vehicle to warm up. So, by this time, the only person tha tI hadnt got to sign this doll was Chris Connely. I waited anotheer 10 minutes and I still didnt see him so I decided to take off. I did nto want to but I was so frigigng cold that I could not handle it any longer. So, I managed to get this blow up oll that was used for onstage sex acts signed by everyone but Chris. Not too bad. I also ended up with a couple water bottles and a drum stick. I look forward to the tour dvd that they will be releasing sometime in the future. I am sure that I will make an appearance on it more than once because I had a lot of cameras on me and I was positioned in a good spot in the crowd and had a lot of the band memebers around me for the entire show. But, anyway, I have typed on for much to long I am afraid. I hope this long post doesn't annoy everyone, but I just thought some people would like to know how the show went :). As far as pictures, I got a couple rolls of film of pigface also, and when I get them all scanned and developed I will post them. Have a good day everyone.

Well, my hard drive decided to stop working the other day, so that basically means that I lost all my mp3s, and everything else i had on here...basically a little over 30 gigs worth of files...Luckily I had most of it backed up so all I lost were some pictures, conversations, and a few thousand mp3's....not as bad as it could have been, but still bad enough :(

well, i have a few days without john....hes went to indianapolis for a few days...i am hoping for the worst of course...but knowing my luck he will return unharmed and unhurt...so please everyone join me in happiness and rejoicing....at least for a couple days...
no doubt he will jump all over this post when he gets back im sure.....but thats ok i would expect nothing more out of him
