Jen Weston in the WVBR DJ Lounge

Born in Queens, NY but raised on Long Island, I've been an alternative rock fan since my days in Junior High School. I grew up listening to Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day and Collective Soul and I still love these bands today. I have branched out my music tastes since then, including Trip Hop (Sneaker Pimps and Massive Attack), Classic Rock (Rolling Stones and The Beatles), Techno (Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Paul Van Dyk) and others. There are few genres of music that I can't stand listening to -- Rap, R & B, and Country -- and believe me, I've given them a chance.

When I'm not DJing at WVBR (afternoons 3 - 7pm), I'm running, lifting weights, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Queer as Folk or Smallville, touring the wine trails, going to the movies or frequenting clubs and bars. I love to dance, especially when I work up a sweat! I'm a vegetarian (but I eat fish) and I love cats.

I've worked lots of local concerts, including Stone Temple Pilots, No Doubt, Incubus, Counting Crows, Uncle Kracker, the Roots, Run DMC and Ben Folds. I'm also an avid concert-goer -- I've seen Our Lady Peace, Garbage, and Semisonic.

Right now, my MP3 player contains songs from Evanescence, Travis, Three Doors Down, and Dishwalla.
