I can still taste his kiss on my mouth, and smell his breath on my cheek. Mike left early this morning. We said goodbye last night. I cried.. even though we'll see each other again in 2 months. Two months is nothing. This time we had to wait 4 months. But it's always sad to see him go. I missed him as soon as I walked out of his hotel and into the night. I drove home with tears in my eyes. I can't wait to get my film developed. I'm going to try to have it developed by tonight. He inspires me to write. I must make a list of New Years Resolutions. This year is going to be a good year. So, we got the scanner working a few days ago. I'm on a bit of a posting spree.. Look at these pictures of me when I was a kid.. Hehehe.. ( Photos here ) Ciao. (I'm really just procrastinating about studying for Math and Bio... I should get on that... maybe in a few minutes...) |

Do you remember what he/she was wearing when you first met? No. 7. Do you remember a song that was popular at the time you first met? Uh.. A popular song.. Mmm.. Probably something by Britney Spears.. she always has popular songs. 8. Do you have a special song? Many. Shall I list a few? Chris DeBurgh - "Lady in Red" Benny Mardones - "Into the Night" Depeche Mode - "Enjoy the Silence" Nine Inch Nails - "A Warm Place" Vanessa Carleton - "A Thousand Miles" others... 9. Do you have a special movie? Mmm.. I'd say Terminator though I haven't seen it yet. We keep meaning to see it together. 10. What is the age gap between both of you? Four years. 11. Do you like being older/younger? I don't mind being younger. We both act like little kids sometimes.. The age difference doesn't bother me. 12. Do you know his/her birthdate? April 24, 1981 13. Do you know where he/she was born? Washington, IL 14. Is he/she a star sign that are you compatible with? Incredibly.. yes. Scorpio and Taurus. 15. Do they snore? I wouldn't call it snoring... but he breathes loudly. :P 16. Do they hog the bed? No. We both hog it. 17. Do you have similar interests? Many. A passion for music, art, computers, video games.. Skipping rocks in the ocean.. being lazy.. 18. Do you have similar tastes in music? Mmm.. Pretty similar, I suppose.. Although I'm a variety kind of girl, so I generally like everything. 19. Do you have kids? No. 20. Do you know what he/she is doing now? Sitting in a plane right NOW, flying here to see me. 21. When did you last have a fight? A couple days ago. When did you last hug? End of August. 24. What color are his/her eyes? Blueish green. More blue, I think. 25. What color is his/her hair? Dark brown.. though he has some red and lighter brown in his goatee.. 26. What do you think his/her best asset is, physically? His smile, his hair, his hands (even with the chewed fingernails), his butt.. All of him. 27. Do you know his/her favorite song? Right now I'd say we're both really liking Benny Mardones - "Into the Night". 28. Do you know his/her favorite movie? Terminator is up there. 29. Do you know his/her favorite book? He doesn't read too much.. Last time he was here he was reading a biography. 30. Do you get along with his/her parents? I can't really say for sure.. I think so. 31. "Asshole" is a word that comes to mind. 34. What is the best thing he/she has ever done for you? Spend wads money to fly here four times.. What is his/her favorite food? HAM. He loves ham. He also likes pineapple. 39. What was it about them that made you fall for them? His incredible personality. I fell for Mike because he is incredibly honest, open, sweet, caring, loving, passionate, musical, silly, goofy, and just so loveable. Seeing him smile, and laughing with him are the two best things on the planet. When we hold each other and kiss he's so tender and careful and yet so full of passion. He makes me realise the kind of person I want to be, and who I can be. He can strip down my shell and step inside.. And that's not something that a lot of people can do. He makes me so comfortable with myself and us and him and life.. He makes me feel beautiful. On another note.. we weren't able to go skiing after all. We woke up at 7:30 AM this morning to find that it was pouring rain. But, we packed everything up and headed up the mountain. Soon, it was pouring snow, and it was advised that you put chains on you vehicle's tires. But, we didn't have any chains (and 4-wheel drive wasn't enough), so we really had no choice but to come back down again. Quite a drag, really. But you know what they say.. better to be safe than sorry. Mike arrives tomorrow. He's in the air right now. I'm so excited. Does my hair look okay? |

I've a crink in my neck. And so, I'm off to the mountain to go snowboarding. I'll be back tomorrow night. Mike is coming on Thursday! Wee! I'm so incredibly excited, I can hardly contain myself. It's so unexpected.. I thought the next time I'd see him was in March. Oh man it'll be great. |

The hiatus has been extended until perhaps the 30th, or perhaps longer. This room hasn't been re-carpeted yet, only painted today. It is now suppose to be carpeted on Monday. So.. you know you're a dork when you set up your computer in a mess of a room, knowing it can only be up for a day and a half before you have to take it down again. I am, quite literally sitting with my butt on the carpet with the computer in a closet. I kid you not. |

Well, I'm going on a bit of a hiatus until the 28th or 29th. Tomorrow we're getting new carpets installed in almost the whole house. And on the 28th, this room will be painted. There's nowhere else I can set up the computer cause our internet connection is only in this room.. Until the 29th.. |

This new sweater makes my boobs look big[ger]. Did it seem to anyone else that this year didn't really feel like Christmas as much as previous years? Today seems like a normal day, despite opening presents this morning, and the festivities that will be happening tonight. I suppose I should do the normal thing and list a few things I received: - 2 turtlenecked sweaters; - peasant shirt (which I'm not sure I'll ever wear.. not really my style); - clogs; - new discman (my old one broke in Europe this summer); - moola; - calendar; - socks ; - chocolate and candy; - etc. Now, I should really go shave my legs so I can wear a skirt tonight. Mmm... turkey... If I could fly, I'd pick you up and take you into the night, and show you a love like you've never seen... |

It's Christmas Eve, and what am I doing? Putting almost everything I own into boxes and bags so we can get new carpets installed on the 27th. What fun. We're going to a church service tonight, where there will be a bit of a pageant put on by kids, and some caroling. Should be nice, although I'm definitely not a churchy person. I quite dislike being in churches, actually. I tend to think, "What bullshit" too often. Hum. Off to finish wrapping my dad's Christmas present.. my last one. Merry Christmas, everyone. |

Now bring out the figgy pudding... So, I babysat my cousin Jane on Thursday. She had swimming lessons, so I drove her there. Put on some really stylish blue booties over my shoes, and went into the pool area with her. I sat in a plastic chair amongst all the other moms, and watched while she had her lesson. I haven't been in a public pool for a very, very long time. It's funny, because when I had swimming lessons in the same pool that Jane takes hers at, I looked at it with a child's eyes. When I was there on Thursday, I looked at it with adult eyes. My perspective is so much different now. The instructors are so incredibly young. When I was little, I had thought they were so old, but really.. they're about 20. Crazy. Anyhow, Jane had been taking level 6 for about 5 sessions, and had never passed it. But on Thursday, she was so eager to look at her little report card (I remember that so well), and she passed! I was so proud of her. And she was thrilled. Also on Thursday, during lunch at school in the library, I had a most interesting talk with a guy from my Math class. We talked about Mike. I hardly ever (okay.. never) talk to guys, much less talk to them about my boyfriend. It was the oddest thing. Quite humorous as well, since we got talking about our sex life, and then just about sex in general. He lost his virginity at a party. He's one of those. Ugh. Yesterday, I got paid. Oh my God. I got paid. The most money I've ever held in my hands at a given time - $220. Geebers. I feel rich. But, in it goes into my bank account. I'm saving up my money to buy a computer. Or a digital camera. Or both. Today, I'm going downtown with Taryn. We're going to exchange Christmas presents, though we both know what we got each other. I think I'll bring down some of my spare change and give it to the panhandlers, like I said I was going to. Have you ever wondered what snot is made of? What's it composed of? Why does it happen? Why did that thought just occur to me? He watches as she gets ready to walk home. She tosses her books into her backpack and slams the locker door. He stays ten steps behind her as she winds herself through the crowds. She doesn't stop to talk to anyone, and no one calls to her. She has few close friends. She likes it that way. |

So I've put some photo archives up in the visual section of my site. It was kind of fun flipping through all those old pictures.. I have a ton stacked up. No more school for 2 weeks! I could cry, I'm so happy. Off to babysitting in a frigid house. |

I don't have to wake up early again for 2 weeks. Oh dear God. My last day of school before Christmas. How I'm trembling with anticipation. |

I walked to school today amidst the most gorgeous sunrise. I set out from the house and the sky was a dull grey. Walking further brought blue patches. The blue patches swelled with the rising sun, until the weak sunlight was filtering through the clouds, and the clouds vanished. I love to watch the sun rise. "And I think to myself.. what a wonderful world." I have to work today. Bleh. I was much enjoying my 3-day break. Hectic Christmas shoppers! Ahh! Take my advice: Be kind to the workers who are just as stressed as you - don't do your Christmas shopping late! Rrgh. And don't be bitchy either. Mmph. |

My lips are chapped. The bitter wind and slashing rain has just about knocked me senseless. My hair is sticking to my head in wet, tangled mats, my lips are cold and flaking, and my nose could compare to Rudolph. All this and I've just been walking for a half hour. I was walking home from the University where I met with Evan, the 9-year-old boy I'm going to be teaching piano from January to April while my teacher is on maternity leave. I'm actually quite excited about it. He seems like the sweetest little boy; very enthusiastic and driven. He practices for a half an hour every day.. That's more than I can say for myself.. And I'm in what grade 8 piano.. and he's in... what? not even 1st? Pathetic, I know. I'm hoping he might inspire me, actually. Yesterday after my piano recital (my last one ever - horrah!), we picked up a Christmas tree and decorated it. It's lovely. Our house smells like sweet pine and Christmas. There are decorations and knick-knacks up everywhere as well.. It's definitely putting me into the Christmas spirit. And, hey, I have all my Christmas shopping done. Speaking of Christmas, I decided this weekend that as my uh, First Annual Good Christmas Deed, I'm going to give out the multitudes of change I have to panhandlers. I got the idea whilst walking downtown with Taryn last weekend, looking at all the panhandlers sitting there in the cold. I always want to give them some change, but it's always buried deep in my bag, and I feel so awkward digging up some and throwing it in the empty hat. Or perhaps I'll bake some cookies.. |

Lately, I've been really envious of couples that are so plainly in love. I see them walking down the street, holding hands; at school, kissing in the corner... I yearn for the touching. It must be that the holidays are approaching. |

I have such a pining to go snowboarding right now. I got set off in this mind-frame by a sing-a-long that happened in the mall whilst I was working last week. There was a choir group that were dressed up in their winter gear, and some guy had a snowboard with him. Just looking at the snowboard made me really, really want to go up to the mountain. Every day now, I've been checking the snow reports because there hasn't been much snow this year. Mt. Washington is actually delaying their opening because of it - they open on Dec. 21. Ahhh.. I pine to be here ! |

A happy birthday to Shane. I had the worst time at work today. According to my bitchiest supervisor (Mel), I did everything wrong, I didn't know how to do anything, was too slow, and wasn't satisfying her. Heck, I haven't even worked there a month. Apparently though, another of my supervisors told me that Mel dislikes all the new workers, and tries to make them crack. Good stuff, eh? -Hits her head on the pillow- And now I'm going to bed. |
