Okay, that last post seems to defy deletion, so let's just move on. As reported in the Telegraph and just about everywhere else, the British pension system is in trouble. But onward we go.
The computerization of the British health care system is going as expected for a massive government effort to change the way a massive government effort does business. Several fold cost overruns, delays, disaster, and the usual run of excuses, special pleading, and demands to extort more money from the poor, tired taxpayers. No matter how much government funded code you pound out, a doctor still can't have a personal chat with five patients at the same time.

Beth, at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, wrote an op-ed piece that cuts right to the heart of the matter, concerning the Mother of All Ass Kickings™ that was administered to Sodamned Insane's Butchering Ba'athist Bastards of Baghdad.

Just to let y'all know that His Rottieness is still around (more or less) but, as part of the inevitable upheaval going on around the palace at this present time, that the new DSL is having trouble getting set up. Didn't take them long to turn the old one off, but they sure are having a devil of a time turning the new one on. Just flip the effin' switch, dammit, FLIP THE DAMN SWITCH!
Again, thanks for all of your continued readership and support, it means a LOT to me!

A new document has been unearthed which indicates that Kerry wrote the after-action report of the Bay Hap River incident (aka the ass-burning rice incident or the fake Rassmann rescue) in which Kerry "won" a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
The report was sent under the moniker "TE 194.5.4.4/1", which couldn't have been Larry Thurlow, who would've been "CTE 194.5.4.4", but it gets a bit more interesting than that.
According to a Navy communications expert, Troy Jenkins, who has examined the message traffic, the report in question was sent from the USCGC Spencer, Commander Lonsdale's command ship, at 11:20 that night. Only three of the officers on the mission that day were on the Spencer: John Kerry, Dick Pease, and Donald Droz. Droz took the wounded from the mine explosion to be examined and treated at the Spencer, including the third officer, the severely wounded Dick Pease. Since the Spencer had no helipad for the evacuation of the wounded, Mr. Droz then had to return to the USS Washtenaw County, an LST stationed about 25 nautical miles away, for medevac, leaving only Mr. Kerry aboard the Spencer at the time the message was sent at 11:20 that night.
John Kerry, a man who wrote up his own fictional exploits.
[Thanks to Mike M for sending this in!]
If you thought we were referring to the upcoming free elections in Iraq, thanks to the Coalition of the Willing™, you'd be sorely mistaken. We're talking about the unmitigated gall of some of the ungrateful fuckwits in the Arab communities across America.
The Arab American Political Action Committee (search) nearly unanimously endorsed its candidate for president on Tuesday. Its selection, John Kerry, is an about-face for this Michigan based group, which backed President Bush in 2000.
“President George W. Bush hurt us on many levels. He hurt us on civil rights. He hurt us on the war he started. He hurt us in the Middle East by leaving the Palestinians and Israelis [to] kill each other,” said AAPAC member Abed Hammoud.
Wow. That steaming bucket of putrifying camel vomit is almost too stupid to even attempt to Fisk.
President George W. Bush hurt us on many levels.
If you were a terrorist, then "Yes" he hurt you in the last few years.
He hurt us on civil rights.
Uhhhhhhhh....... Care to provide sources and actual "civil rights" that were violated?
He hurt us on the war he started.
You mean the one he "finished" and just happened to LIBERATE 24 MILLION of your fellow Arabs (and those 25 million or so Afghanis) and gave them a chance to vote for someone besides the mass-murdering Ba'athist Bastard of Baghdad?
Yeeeeeah. That's gotta hurt.
He hurt us in the Middle East by leaving the Palestinians and Israelis [to] kill each other.
You mean "Leaving Yasshole Arafuck alive to continue breaking every fucking agreement he's ever put his worthless, inbred, blood-stained signature on"? We're sorta pissed about that one, too, but probably not for the same reasons you are. You're just "hurt" because Israel still exists and is systematically wiping out the VD-ridden goat rapists who are sending their children out to murder other children instead of fighting like men.
Go read the rest. Perhaps there are a few sane Arabs out there who actually realize that the WoT isn't against all of them, but just the ones who want to kill us all or make us kiss the dirt, stick our asses in the air and bow to Mecca.

How else could this BBC article on the NASA employee who's accused of faking safety checks get into print with this little gem?
Discovery is scheduled next year to become the first space shuttle to take to the skies since a fire on the Columbia shuttle killed seven astronauts in early 2003.
Did they translate the article into Swahili and back before publishing it? Were their editors somehow asleep last year? Did some Beebnut reporter think "burnt up.... Hmm... Must've been some kind of on board fire...."? I'm just wondering how an organization that claims to report "news" can make such egregious mistakes. Maybe they'll have CBS forge a NASA memo to justify their ever more glaring errors, but with this level of scientific illiteracy I don't think it will do them any good.
Apologies for the light posting, everyone. I've been busy as the proverbial beaver, a luckless species that never had one of John Kerry's magic plans to make stream currents flow both ways at once and aspen trees fall with nothing more than a harsh look and flip-flop of their tails. Anyway, the Washington Post today claims Bush Recasts Rationale For War
Bush's decision to attack Iraq came after urgent warnings by the president and his top aides about the challenge posed by Iraq -- what Bush called "a serious and mounting threat to our country" in his Jan. 28, 2003, State of the Union address before Congress.
What Bush actually said was that Iraq presented a threat to us, our friends, and our allies. On another note Saddam was maintaining his R&D; capability while developing long range missiles in clear violation of sanctions, and he certainly didn't intend to use those missiles for upper atmospheric research. The WaPo whines that Duelfer report, which Bush put in motion, says Saddam's capabilities were largely destroyed by the Persian Gulf War and subsequent inspections, but then continues by saying that Saddam planned to go back into full production as soon as sanctions were lifted. That has John Kerry running around like a petulant three-year old with a paper megaphone yelling "No threat! No threat!"

Our resident Aussie Patriot, LC Brendan, posted a comment in this thread that was so outstanding, that we just HAD to post it for all to see, so as to not be missed by those who might not peruse all of the comments in all of the threads.
Oh YE OF LITTLE FAITH :)Xardox...if we ever meet, you, mate, owe me a beer. I told ya, didn't I?
Howard and the government have given us strong, capable leadership, good economic growth and strong ties to our respected friends in the USA.
As I have TRIED to explain to some of you, Liberal here does NOT mean the same as your LLL's..and yes we have a low BS tolerance.
Note that Pauline Hanson got a boot in the rear, the Family First is now looking for whats left of their backsides after the Aust electorate got through kicking it..and that the US can rely on us to remain their staunch friend.
Let this also be a small reminder to some who need not be named. Any of you who take us for fools or think you can run your garbage past us and not have it seen for what it is, take careful note.
I am referring to Mr LardAss Moore and Kerry's idiot sister....both of whom have made a serious error in underestimating is.
We do not tolerate others butting into our affairs, we are a nation in our own right and WE WILL MAKE UP OUR OWN FUCKING MINDS as to what we as a nation will or will not do.
Don't EVER assume we don't know bullshit when we see it or hear it, don't ever assume you can interfere in matters that don't concern you..and don't ever assume that you know us at all.
Because we just told you, in no uncertain terms, to go fuck yourselves.
To our US allies, we are with you..now and always.
WE ARE AUSTRALIA , HEAR US ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allah (Peas Be Upon HIM) has some words of Eternal Wisdom on the "Miserable Failure™" of President Bush & our Coalition of the Willing™ in Afghanistan.
With the elections being held with a minimum of violence (for there, anyway) and the opposition parties taking their lead from Terry McAwful & The GoreBot Mk VII, it's not looking very good for the American Communist Party's candidate of choice, Hanoi John.
But, as Allah (Bees Knees Upon HIM) so eloquently puts it:
Still, who knows? Maybe it'll all fall apart. Keep those fingers crossed, Kerry voters!
F.E.T.E.
Even with the Assatwoshits Anal Wart's sister running around trying to scare the bejeebus out of the populace, our Coalition of the Willing™ partners in AussieLand have kicked the Appeasement Party squarely in their shriveled, syphilitic Global Testicles™ and told 'em to "Sod off, ya' buncha sheilas!"
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian Prime Minister John Howard, a key U.S. ally and supporter of the Iraq war, resoundingly beat center-left opposition Labor at a national election on Saturday to win a fourth straight term in office.
BWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And the *spit* Unbiased Media™ *spit* had been calling this one for the opposition, at least by a squeaker, in the weeks leading up to the election. Sound familiar? We thought so, too.
Howard was returned with what appears certain to be an increased majority and in December will become Australia's second-longest serving prime minister.
We'd be willing to wager large sums of cash that, at this point in the space-time continuum, you couldn't get a well-lubed hypodermic needle up Qerry's rectum after he was told this news.
"In the end the Australian people have recognized the economic and security benefits the Howard government has brought them," Howard's Industry and Resources Minister Ian Macfarlane told Reuters.
Sound familiar? We thought so, too.
Let's just hope that the Lemmings of the Left haven't managed to corral enough
crack ho's, illegals, nursing home invalids, corpses and winos to tip the balance to the Appeaser/Vulture ticket here.
F.E.T.E.
The Washington Times actually had some of their people read past the halfway point in the Duelfer report and guess what? They found the stuff that the rest of the *spit* Unbiased Media™ *spit* won't be bothering to disseminate, since it doesn't help them in their quest to elect the self-confessed war criminal and traitor of a candidate,
Kama Sutra Kerry: He's got hundreds of positions and you're screwed in all of 'em.™
Saddam Hussein's goal through the 1990s and until the 2003 U.S. invasion was to end U.N. sanctions on Iraq, while working covertly to restore the country's ability to produce weapons of mass destruction, a report by the chief U.S. weapons inspector says. "Saddam wanted to re-create Iraq's WMD capability — which was essentially destroyed in 1991 — after sanctions were removed and Iraq's economy stabilized, but probably with a different mix of capabilities," the report said.
Pretty cut 'n' dried.
Charles A. Duelfer told the Senate Armed Services Committee in testimony yesterday that "Saddam sought to sustain the requisite knowledge base to restart the program eventually."In the interim, Mr. Duelfer said, Saddam hoped to keep "the inherent capability to produce such weapons as circumstances permitted in the future."
Hellooooooooooooooo?
Looks like those "circumstances" aren't going to be "permitting in the future" now, does it?
F.E.T.E.
The AP pushes the Envelope of Stupidity™ with its latest interpretation of the Duelfer report.
Suitcases full of cash, secret bank accounts, covert operatives, corrupt politicians on the take. A report detailing alleged illicit U.N. oil-for-food deals with the former Iraq government paints a portrait of Saddam Hussein as an international gangster - not a nuclear terrorist.
So, a known terrorist dictator, with a known penchant for killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, with a known history of trying to get his hands on nuclear devices, gets caught giving billions of dollars worth of bribes and kickbacks in attempts to circumvent (and ultimately end) sanctions against him, in order to resume his quest for more and better WMD's, and all they care to label him is "an international gangster"? What's next, Fidel Castro being called "a stern camp director"?
Discuss amongst yourselves.
It's late and we're beat. (Oppressing Little Brown 3rd World People is hard work, ya' know?) Go read the rest and ponder how anyone can be as mind-numbingly stupid as the Leftist Lackwits to not see the naked reality of The Truth™ about this entire WoT and Saddam's ouster being a critical part of it.
Oh, and before we go, we'd like to leave you with this little juicy tidbit that was waaaay down towards the bottom, away from the two-paragraph-attention-span of the Drooling Dolts of the DU/DNC:
One of the most prolific purchasers of the oil was Swiss-based Glencore run by one-time fugitive American financier Marc Rich, which the report alleges paid over $3.2 million in kickbacks to the Iraqi government. Rich, formerly wanted for tax-evasion was pardoned by President Clinton in his last days in office.
"What did Slick Willie know and when did he know it?!"
Man, this could get really interesting, really quickly. :-)
