Disney Covers |
[Jan. 13th, 2005|01:23 am] |
So like...I am laying awake tonight thinking of this mix I want to make. I want to make a mix of covers of Disney songs, preferrably not by cheesy pop people, but cool people, specifically, if possible, people I like.
So far I have:
Hem - "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" (Cinderella) Belly - "Trust in Me" (The Jungle Book) Jonatha Brooke - "Second Star to the Right" (Peter Pan) Tori Amos (or Innocence Mission, haven't decided yet) - "Stay Awake" (Mary Poppins) and I THINK I have someone who can get me Alison Krauss singing "Baby Mine" (Dumbo)
Any help in finding Disney covers would be appreciated, as I really don't know where to begin to search for such things. |

Hey guys,
Just wondering, I wanted to make a rainy day cd mix. Just picture yourself sitting by a window while it's raining and...there's music to match! The only artist I have in mind is Nora Jones "Don't Know Why" (it has a rainy quality to it-despite the beach setting for the video) but I'll take any idea (any genre as long as it goes with the rainy day blah weather). Thanks! |

| | Mirah-Sweepstakes Prize | ] | My friend Heather asked me to make a mix cd with a breakfast theme. I thought this was a really good idea (better than any other theme suggestions poeple gave me) and this is what I have so far:
Nerf Herder-Welcome to my World Daniel Johnston-Syrup of Tears Bob Dylan-Orange Juice Blues Simon and Garfunkle-Punky's Dilemma (this one is just way too perfect) The Get Up Kids-Beer For Breakfast The White Stripes-One More Cup of Coffee PJ Harvey-Prime and Ticking A Tribe Called Quest-Ham n Eggs AFI-Cereal Wars (not sure about this one. I don't like AFI very much)
I know that some of those songs are *exactly* about breakfast, but I think they all fit in with the theme pretty well. Any more suggestions? Thanks! |

Hey i'm new and i'm totally loving this community ^__^ Ok so i'm having some "make myself feel special" time at the moment having spent 6 months and 5 days (i decided the obsession had to stop yesterday) being totally obsessed with a guy who did nothing but mess up my head .. also mornings are not fun for me (because i have this silly illness that means i have nonrestoritive sleep and still wake up tired grrr arrgggh) so i'm looking for suggestions for the following: 1.A "Wake up, It's A Beautiful Morning" Mix (and yes - it will have Wake up it's a beautiful morning by the boo radleys on it) and 2.A "I'm fed up waiting for you to love me, we're still friends, but had your chance" Mix
Glitter hugs and pretty sparkles xxxx |

I'm making a cd for my best friend (we go to colleges 150 miles apart and i miss her) I need songs for getting ready to go out and party, for putting on faux eyelashes and feeling fabulous. Songs that'll make her feel as beautiful as she is. She's really into Gwen Stefani/No Doubt, and loves Bush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime and 80s pop, pop-punk and modern emo. HIGH ENERGY SONGS ONLY!

okay, this is gonna sound odd prolly, but does anyone have any songs about child abuse/being used? preferably hardcore but anything up-tempo and relatively angry will do. i'm trying to make a comfort via purging your demons mixtape for a good friend of mine. i hope this doesn't sound too wierd.
EDIT: loss of youth/innocence will do too |
