Bloomberg Upset Over Showing The Third Jihad to Police

NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg is a fucking retard deluxe.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has severely criticized the New York Police Department (NYPD) for using a controversial movie The Third Jihad, to portray American Muslims as terrorists in their training of police officers.
But what is Michael Bloomberg's issue with the film? Does it lie about Radical Islamists and al-Qaeda. Lets look at the CAIR talking points that the PC media are parroting.

Here's one

Daily Mail reports the video showed the White House with a black flag flying over it, and the message "Islam will dominate."
So does the film misinterpret or misrepresent these views?

No, one of the featured Muslims in that section of the film is Younes Abdullah Muhammad who is currently being held on terrorism charges.

Here's the next complaints

The movie which was played to police recruits in counter-terrorism training seminars, also showed Christians being shot in the head by Muslim extremists and car bombs set off by Islamic militants. According to Huffington Post, it included footage of the Beslan school massacre in Russia, and the Al Qaeda leader Abu Yahya al-Libi, saying that he believes the entire world must be ruled by Islam. The video shows other scenes of Muslim violence and a narrator saying: "This is the true agenda of much of Islam in America. A strategy to infiltrate and dominate America...This is the war you don’t know about."
OMG! does the film show actual acts of murder and
Islamic terrorism?

Was there a massacre of Children in Beslan? Of course there was. Has Abu Yaha al-Liby actually said that? Well hell yes.

WTF were they thinking? Its madness! Why We can't have the people tasked with protecting us and fighting terrorism actually study the truth about Islamic radicals. That's totally outside of CAIR approved public discourse!

Here is an abridged version of the film. See for yourself.

Part IV.

Gingrich To Pelosi: "Bring It On, Bi-atch!"

pelosi3.jpg

Okay, I added the "bi-atch," but you know that's what Newt was thinking.

"There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that's their prerogative," said Congresswoman Pelosi. "I don't even think that's going to happen." [...]

"I have a simple challenge for Speaker Pelosi...you know, put up or shut up. I mean, I have no idea what she's talking about. I don't think she has any idea what she's talking about, but bring it on," [Gingrich] said.

The Democrats are terrified of Newt for some reason. Maybe it's because they think he'll be harder to beat in the next election. Maybe they know their Dear Leader, the Great Orator, won't last two minutes in a debate with Gingrich. They want Romney to win the GOP nomination. Their attempts to get Gingrich out of his way reeks of desperation.

They are terrified of Newt, and that alone is reason enough for me to vote for him.

Update: This is why I don't like Romney. Instead of condemning Pelosi's threats, he is exploiting the situation to further attack Gingrich. His ultimate agenda is to benefit himself, not to oppose the failed Obama Administration, not to help restore America to its former Glory, but his own selfish end.

I know most every politician is self-serving, but I believe there are still a few who sincerely want a stronger America before all else. When it comes to Newt and Mitt, it is my opinion that Newt cares more for this country than Mitt. Gingrich may not be the perfect candidate, but I think he's the best choice among those running.

The GOP candidates need to stop thrashing each other and focus on Obama's ethics, qualifications, and records. Then let the American people decide who will be the best leader for this great nation. Some may disagree, but that's how I see it.

Update 2: BigGovernment has more on Romney's curious insistence that Gingrich releases records already made public.

Convicted North Carolina Jihadi Hysen Sherifi's Brother and Female Friend Arrested in Plot to Behead Witnesses

Hysen-Sherifi.jpgFOXNEWS:

A North Carolina man sentenced to prison recently as part of a homegrown terrorist ring has been accused in a federal court document of plotting to kill witnesses who testified against him at trial.

An affidavit unsealed in federal court Monday accuses Hysen Sherifi of plotting against the witnesses from his jail cell. Authorities say an FBI informant posing as a hit man met with Sherifi's brother and a female friend and accepted $5,000 and a photo of an intended victim.

FBI agents have arrested the brother, Shkumbin Sherifi, and Nevine Aly Elshiekh, a school teacher. Now in federal custody at the New Hanover County Jail, each is charged with a felony count of use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire.

It seems that was interested in offing three witnesses who had testified against him at trial. He wanted them beheaded for what he considered these Muslims betrayal of him at trial.
In a 10-page affidavit filed under seal Friday, FBI Special Agent James Langtry writes that he developed a source as a confidential informant inside the New Hanover County Jail near Wilmington, where Hysen Sherifi was sent after a jury convicted him in October.

The informant soon befriended Sherifi, who requested help in hiring someone to kill three people who had testified against him at his trial, according to the affidavit. Sherifi specified that he wanted the witnesses beheaded and that he would be provided photos of the severed heads as confirmation of the deaths, according to the document.

So far we've not heard any comment from the Islamic Association of Raleigh. Uh, yeah.

Obama's Blueprint For America: A Change To Communism

Yes, Barack Obama wants to return to the American value of "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."

Neal Boortz noticed this in Barack Obama's 'Blueprint for America' preview speech. Neal writes (emphasis mine):

Obama is smart enough to know, however, that he can’t use the actual rhetoric of Marx to promote his agenda. Words have to be tweaked to meet the demands of our present political culture. So … at Tuesday night’s State of the Union address (it will be a campaign speech, not a State of the Union speech) Obama will use this phraseology … we’ve already seen it In a campaign video sent to supporters. In that video Obama says: "I'm going to lay out a blueprint for an American economy that's built to last. And most importantly, a return to American values of fairness for all, and responsibility from all."

Internet Piracy Suspect Kim Dotcom Arrested in New Zealand

Kim Dotcom.jpg
Kim Dotcom

(Wellington, New Zealand) Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom, huge at 6' 7" and 300lbs, is in jail in New Zealand awaiting extradition to the U.S. A German national, Dotcom and three accomplices were arrested last Friday after an FBI investigation.

The four face charges of copyright infringement as well as conspiracy to commit copyright infringement, conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

American hostage in Somalia rescued by US Navy SEALs in overnight raid

Great news!

MSNBC

WASHINGTON -- In a daring nighttime raid Tuesday, U.S. Navy SEALs rescued two hostages, including one American, who were being held by kidnappers in Somalia, U.S. officials tell NBC News.

American Jessica Buchanan, 32, and a 60-year-old Dane, Poul Thisted, were working for a Danish relief organization in northern Somalia when they were kidnapped last October. U.S. officials described their kidnappers as heavily armed common criminals with no known ties to any organized militant group.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to the U.S. officials, two teams of Navy SEALs landed by helicopter near the compound where the two hostages were being held. As the SEALS approached the compound on foot gunfire broke out, the U.S. officials said, and several of the militants were reportedly killed. There is no word that any of the Americans were wounded.

The SEALs gathered up Buchanan and Thisted, loaded them onto the helicopters and flew them to safety at an undisclosed location. The two hostages were not injured during the rescue operation and are reported to be in relatively good condition.

Updates as we get them...

Update by DMartyr: FoxNews is reporting that no Americans were injured during the raid and that there were no known survivors among the terrorists. Good job, Seals!

Ron Paul Supporter Accused Of Fire Bombing Synagogues

Given Ron Paul's steadfast support of Israel*, I find this shocking.

An unemployed teenager charged Tuesday with firebombing two synagogues is an anti-Semite whose hatred of Jews guided his actions, authorities said.

I find this rather ironic. While the AP (painfully) admits that this douche hates Jews, they throw in the words "unemployed teenager" in what is obviously an attempt to milk sympathy for the douchebag.

Really? 19 is a teenager? And being unemployed is an excuse to firebomb synagogues? I was unemployed at 19, and the only thing I firebombed was a flaming shot of Bacardi 151 (thank God I didn't have the nose hair then that I do now).

Oh, and did I mention *he's a Ron Paul supporter? Now that's just crazy, given Ron Paul's staunch support of Israel.

Thanks to LindaSOG.

Haditha Marine Pleads Guilty To Killing Iraqi Civilians

Wait, what? Is that a misleading headline? Are you saying that he actually pleaded guilty to dereliction of duty? I do believe that you, Mr. Voice Inmyhead, are correct.

Now let's spin the globe over to the other side of the world to see what Hillary Clinton's version of "real news" has to say....

Now, as misleading as that headline is, it's not as ridiculously stupid as it was yesterday. Because, you see, I found that story because I follow Al Jazeera's English Twitter feed. And this is what the headline was yesterday:

Photobucket

If Hillary Clinton thinks that this is "real news," I'd hate to see what real news is in a second Obama term.

Leftist Celebrates Female Terrorist as Brave Woman

But she doesn't stop at praising the terrorist, she also decries the pro-Western Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

But, it's pretty much what we've come to expect from the Leftists in the academy. They hate anything that smack of "us" while heaping praise on "them". Even when "they" are trying to kill "us".

In Case You Missed It

An arrest was made in the fire-bombing of two different Synagogues around New Jersey.

The AP article (via FNC) was short and sweet:

Authorities have made an arrest in the firebombings of two northern New Jersey synagogues.

The Bergen County prosecutor has charged 19-year-old Anthony Graziano of Lodi with the Jan. 11 attack on a Rutherford synagogue and the Jan. 3 firebombing of a synagogue in Paramus.

The charges include nine counts of attempted murder.

That's the entire article. No details, no interviews with worshipers or family members, no statements from any "civil rights" organizations, no journalist commentary about past crimes against Synagogues, no condemnation or 'hate crime' labels.

Just another day of city crime.

2012 Barack Obama Campaign Ad Filled With Lies

I'm not surprised. But it might be surprising how many will accept it as truth.

First, Obama's 2012 Campaign ad. Watch it if you can stomach it:

Every point is misleading or an outright lie. FactCheck.org challenges every claim:

  • The spot uses outdated quotes from groups that said his record on ethics is “unprecedented” and that he “kept a promise to toughen ethics rules.” One of those same groups said later that he “has let down millions of Americans who accepted his word,” and another rated his promise as “broken.”

  • The 30-second TV spot also trumpets a claim of “2.7 million jobs” in “America’s clean-energy industry.” That mostly counts jobs put in place long before Obama took office.

  • Finally, it boasts that U.S. dependence on foreign oil has declined to below 50 percent, as a net share of total demand, for the first time in more than a decade. That’s true, and increasing U.S. oil production is a factor (despite Republican criticisms that Obama is anti-drilling). But economists say the chief factor is reduced oil consumption, brought on by the recent economic recession.

The Myth of "Moderates" Can't Win & Who is the Most "Electable"?

I like Rush Limbaugh. He's a great entertainer.

What he's not good at is political science.

I keep hearing from Rush an argument that goes something like this: The Republican establishment keeps shoving moderates down our throats, but whenever we run a moderate they lose.

His examples seem to be confined to Bob Dole and John McCain.

Since McCain is our most recent example, let me speak to that one.

John McCain did not lose because he was a moderate. John McCain lost because he was a Republican.

Whoever the Republicans nominated in 2008 was doomed to fail. It had little to do with them personally. It have everything to do with the collapse of the housing market, the collapse of the financial markets, and the beginning of the-worst-recession-since-the-great-depression (©DNC, all rights reserved).

Also, because the-worst-president-who-ever-lived-and-who-also-ate-children-for-breakfast (© DNC, all rights reserved) had just been term limited out. You know his name, it always ended with a hyphen then a Hitler.

I'm sorry, McCain's losing to Obama had little to do with McCain or Obama.

Little is not all. But macro forces outside of the individual personality or policy preferences was 90% of the story.

So, when Rush or other conservative activists blame the 2008 loss on the fact that McCain was a moderate, they're just plain wrong.

The importance of this is because the analogy is then applied by Rush to say that if we nominate an alleged moderate like Romney then we doomed to repeat 2008 and the Republicans will lose again.

That is complete and utter hogwash. Whoever we nominate in the coming months is very likely to beat Obama. And in 2012 it will have little to do with the candidates themselves, and everything to do with macro forces such as the economy.

We're left in this race with three possible alternatives. None of these men are perfectly conservative, but none of them can be because there is no such a thing as a perfect conservative. The perfect conservative doesn't exist. Ronald Reagan was not a perfect conservative. Not even close. It's the problem of memory: it's selective. We tend to remember what we want, and forget what we don't.

None of these guys is perfect, but no one is. It's why I've always hated the idea of voting for the guy I disliked the least. The underlying assumption being that there is someone so perfect out there, if only he wold step forward.

That's not what politics is. Hell, that's not even what human nature is. We're imperfect. If we weren't, we'd be God.

Which brings us the the Mitt vs. Newt vs. Santorum conundrum.

Who is the most electable? Rush, and a lot of activists on the right seem convinced that whoever is the most conservative is the most electable. So, it's Santorum ... or maybe Newt, depending on your definition of "conservative".

The establishment, and many in the middle in the party think that whoever is the most moderate sounding is the most electable. Clearly, they prefer Romney.

Another faction think that whoever takes it to Obama & the Left in the most direct manner will win. They prefer Newt because he is the most articulate at attacking Obama and the Left. Also, he's clearly the best debater.

Unfortunately, all of them are wrong. Decades of public opinion research tell us that candidate's positions on public policy rarely has anything to do with the outcome of an election.

Conservatives will end up voting for the Republican candidate, whoever he is. Liberals will end up voting for the Democratic candidate, whoever he is. And the so-called moderates will end up voting based on a number of factors, none of which are related to the issues at all.

They will vote on the economy, first and foremost. Not based on their personal checkbooks, but based on what we call a "sociotropic" analysis of the economy. That is, based upon their perception of where the economy is or where it is heading.

And given that economies are cyclical, much of what passes for electoral politics is simply luck.

Another big factor in how the squishy moderates and independents vote are "personal attributes". Things like is the candidate "trustworthy" or is he a good "leader".

Neither of these things have anything to do with their positions on the policies.

In 1980 we were told that Reagan couldn't be elected because he was too conservative. But he won anyway. But he didn't win, as Rush and some think, because he was conservative.

He won because the economy was in the tank. Whoever we nominated in 1980 was likely to beat Carter.

He didn't beat Carter because he was articulate in the debates, either. If you believe this, you didn't see the debates. Reagan was not the best debater.

But, this didn't mean that the debates were meaningless. They had an affect, but it had nothing to do with Reagan's debating skills -- which were mediocre, at best.

What people learned in the debates was the Reagan wasn't the crazy person that Carter and the Democrats painted him to be.

What they learned was that he was a viable alternative to Jimmy Carter.

Reagan didn't win in 1980 because he was a conservative, Reagan won because he wasn't Jimmy Carter.

The 2012 elections will be most analogous to the elections of 1980. Whoever we nominate is likely to beat Obama, not because what they believe in or what policies they prefer, but because they are a viable alternative to him.

When thinking of the electability question then, it is simply wrong to think of the candidate's positions on policy questions.

What's more important are the personal attributes of the candidate.

Can an independent who voted for Obama in 2008 see himself voting for a viable alternative in 2012?

Let's face it, no matter how much I disdain Romney's moderate stance on a number of issues or Gingrich's ego I'm not the average voter. The average voter hasn't read Barber's The Presidential Character and no longer seems to worry about things like executive vs. legislative leadership abilities.

The average voter worries more about hair style. And about a candidates voice.

No, seriously. My wife, who I consider more of a typical voter than myself, tells me that she can't vote for Sarah Palin because of ... her accent.

And, to be honest, it's why I didn't support Rick Perry. He sounded too much like George W. Bush, and I think the nation still isn't ready for another Texas governor who sounds like, well, a Texan.

Yeah, it's superficial. But what you don't get is that the people who matter in an election -- the independents -- vote on some very superficial things.

That is, when they're not voting on macro issues that are beyond a candidates control.

Look, I think that if Newt gets the nomination that he has a better than even chance of winning. The economy is not likely to improve much in the next eight months, and that's the number one issue that independents will base their votes on.

I'd call it 55-45 in Newt's favor.

Those aren't terrible odds.

The problem with Newt is that he doesn't strike me as Reaganesque in the debates. He strikes me as stylistically the opposite of Reagan. He's not reassuring to moderates.

Maybe he'll get that he has to change that in the general elections, but how many debates will we have between the Republican candidate and Obama? Two? Three, tops?

His debating skills aren't going to matter much for an eventual path to victory. Far more important will be his ability to convince people that he has an even temper, that he is a "leader", and that his personal story is one worth embracing.

And that might be difficult.

The dirty little secret about the American people is that they don't want a fighter in office. No, they want Congress and the President and the Media elites to all just get along.

It's one of the biggest complaints from moderates: why is there so much fighting in Washington?

Yeah, I know it's a stupid question. But it's the kind of question independents ask all the time.

Which is why yet another reason I'm less sure about supporting Gingrich now than I was a few months ago.

I originally supported him because he was a fighter. I, like many of you, wanted a fighter.

But I forgot that I'm not emblematic of the American people. The American people don't want a fighter.

At least, they don't want one who seems like a fighter. They want a passive aggressive fighter. One who won't raise his voice too loudly, and when he attacks he will do so obliquely. Not raise too much of a ruckus, if you know what I mean.

Which is why I think that Romney has a better chance of beating Obama than Newt.

It has nothing to do with his moderation. It has everything to do with stupid things like his hair. And his temperament.

If Romney is our guy, then I call it more like 60-40.

He seems Presidential. And that's enough for most independents. They just want an alternative to Obama. Someone who doesn't seem too weird, to be an extremist, and who will return our country to normalcy.

It has nothing to do with his alleged moderation. It has everything to do with personality.

Yeah, that's stupid. Welcome to America.

Two Arrested over Mumbai Blasts

Two Indians have been arrested in relation to last year's bomb attack that killed 27 in Mumbai.

Whoever our next President is, let's hope that they get the fat that India is our natural ally. We need much closer ties with that country. If the fit ever does hit the shan, they're the front lines against the nuclear armed pariah that is Pakistan.

MSNBC Silences Debate Audience

To a dedicated liberal, if a large group of people disagrees with him/her, it's the group that is wrong, not the liberal. If a group wants to express that disagreement, then the group needs to be silenced, rather than the liberal acknowledging that maybe he/she is possibly wrong.

He/she may not be wrong, but a negative reaction from a large audience should be cause for any normal, open-minded person to at least re-evaluate his/her position.

A few nights ago, Newt Gingrich chastised CNN's John King over media bias. The audience roared its approval with standing ovations. The audience clearly agreed with Newt about media bias.

So, how does MSNBC prepare for another debate?

You'd think they would make an effort to keep the questions fair and impartial. You'd think they'd take extra care to make certain the questions were bipartisan and directly addressed current issues facing the next administration.

But no. Instead, MSNBC decided, rather than to examine their own political bias, they would simply squelch dissent. They instead decided to prevent the audience from expressing any support or disapproval of questions or answers.

At the start of Monday night's debate, [Brian] Williams said, "We've asked our invited guests here this evening to withhold their applause, any verbal reactions to what they hear on stage, so as to ensure this is about the four candidates here tonight and what they have to say."

Silencing dissent is a tactic of cowards, tyrants, and fascists. But now, it looks like a tactic of the liberal media.

al-Qaeda Plot Against US Ships Fails

al-Arabia:

Algerian security foiled a terrorist al-Qaeda plot to carry out suicidal attacks on U.S. and European ships in the Mediterranean from the eastern costs of Algeria.

The aborted plan, which was to be implemented by al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb, aimed at destabilizing Algerian national economy as well as attracting expansive media coverage, sources told the Algerian newspaper Echorouk.

According to the sources, a cell working under the leadership of the spokesman of al-Qaeda’s wing in the Maghreb Qassemi Salah al-Din, also known as Mohamed Abu Salah, is behind he plot.

The cell, sources add, purchased a boat with a powerful engine and was planning to load it with explosives. A suicidal operative was to sail with the boat towards the targeted foreign ships. The terrorist who was to carry out the operation was granted the right to choose the target.

But that's not all. The plotters were all active on various Jihadi forums and websites.
The cell involved in the plot was made up of three members — H. Rabeh, T. Belal, and M. Tarek — who all hail from the city of Annaba in northeastern Algeria.

Investigations revealed that the three cell members used to frequent internet cafes and browse Jihadist websites and used fake names. After arousing suspicion with their strange behavior, electronic crime authorities started tracking them down.

According to the investigations, members of the now disbanded cell were originally recruited by now detained terrorist A. Soufian, also known as Abu Muslim al-Jazaeiri and who also hails from Annaba.

Soufian was in touch with terrorist Daghdagh Ahmed, also known as Abdel Illah, the head of the political and foreign relations committee in al-Qaeda.

Based on the detainees’ confessions, Soufian is trusted in all Jihadist forums for the inciting articles he posts on websites popular among Jihadists especial Menbar al-Tawhid and al-Jihad, run by Abu Mohamed al-Maqdissi, one of the most prominent jihadists known for inciting terrorist activists.

Now is the time at Jawa when we dance.

Kittehz of Terror!

al-kitteh.JPGThere's a new terrorist threat in town...

Concord Patch: Concordian Lydia Lodynsky plans to present three petition articles at the April Town Meeting aimed at keeping cats close to home, and out of neighboring yards, reports Boston.com.

Lodynsky's yard, which used to be filled with colorful birds of all types, is now home to just run-of-the-mill sparrows and such after neighborhood cats have preyed on her beloved birds.

"Watching this all in my own yard literally made me sick," Lodynsky told Boston.com. "This no longer is respite for me - it has become a detriment to my health. I have become a victim in my own yard to terrorist cats that kill everything in sight."

A message posted by al-Kitteh operatives on a little known message board claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Israel Strikes Gaza Munitions

algemeiner.com

Israeli Air Force aircraft struck a weapons manufacturing site in Gaza, along with two tunnels used by terrorists in northern Gaza, and a third tunnel also used by terrorist groups, in Southern Gaza.

According to an IDF statement, direct hits were confirmed. The air force said the strike was in response to mortar attacks that originated from Gaza over the weekend, affirming it’s long standing policy that Hamas is responsible for attacks originating from the Gaza strip.

“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians, and will operate against anyone who uses terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in their statement.

Woman Has Two Vaginas

Hazel Jones.jpg
Hazel Jones

(High Wycombe, England) A 27-year-old local woman, Hazel Jones, has two vaginas, two wombs and two cervixes, a rare condition called uterus didelphys.

Recently, Jones appeared on an ITV television program to discuss the condition, relating that she needed to "effectively lose her virginity twice."

'Once I found out what it was I told everybody,' she told TV hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

'I thought it was amazing and it's definitely an ice-breaker at parties'

She added: 'If women want to have a look, I'm quite happy to show them, it's not something I'm embarrassed by.'

It's surprising that Jones didn't know she had the condition until she consulted a doctor at age 18.
She added that she once asked a school friend which 'hole' she should use for a tampon, but became too embarrassed to continue the conversation after her friend thought she meant she put it up her bottom.
Wikipedia estimates that one in every 3,000 women have the condition. Many don 't suffer problems. (More….)

Confirmed: Obama More Concerned About Reelection than Winning in Afghanistan
(And Why Newt is Starting to Remind me of Obama)

Via Hot Air, the "agenda free" Washington Post thinks the takeaway from this story is that Gen. Patraeus is such a gosh darn good trooper. Hey, look, he disagreed with the President's surge drawdawn in Afghanistan and here he is now serving as head of CIA. Why can't we all just get along and OBEY The One?

Or, at least, that's how I see the excerpts from Broadwell and Loeb's new book printed in WaPo about the man who won the second phase of the Iraq war.

But look closer at what's going on here. This isn't the story of David Patraeus sucking up his pride and obeying his boss.

No, this is the story about a boss who's more interested in reelection than he is in winning a war.

Patraeus argued that drawing down troops before the end of 2012 would forfeit the gains made in the Afghanistan surge.

But Obama didn't care. There is no military reason -- none, zero, zilch -- why troops need to come home this summer and not in November, when Patraeus argued was the natural end to the Afghan "fighting season".

There's only one reason Obama wants those troops home, so he can win reelection.

He doesn't care one damn bit about the lives of the men sacrificed in the surge. He cares only about his reelection.

The man does not care about victory, he cares only about himself.

Oh, sure, he thinks that by winning reelection he's saving America. He is, after all, the savior. Therefore the sacrifices of the troops are really not about him, but about America.

They died so that America may have life. He is but the intermediary. As Obama fares, so fares America.

They did not die for him, but for America. For, you see, he is America made incarnate.

The man has to go. We cannot take four more years of this egomaniac in office.

There is no other explanation. None. I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the facts outweigh any other plausible explanation.

In fact, any other counter narrative is even worse. For at least Obama the egomaniac believes his victory is America's victory.

Over the past month I've argued that Newt was my guy. To be honest, I'm not so sure anymore. My doubts first came when he started attacking Romney for being a successful businessman. Wait, was this the old Newt of the GOPAC days or was this some #OWS protester?

But this business with his second wife and their ugly divorce, you know what? It sounds plausible to me.

Remember that first week after the third round of Hermann Cain accusations and how so many on the right rallied around him and decried the unfair media for attacking a successful conservative black man? Oh how we hated the media for attacking him.

And then, one day, we woke up and realized that Cain was probably guilty of the accusations. That regardless of the media attack on him, he probably was the cad he was alleged to be.

And now I have that same fear of Newt Gingrich. That maybe it's not just all media hype, maybe he is the egomaniac that many around him accuse him of being. That he actually thought enough of himself that he could have a wife and a mistress.

And if that's true, then God help me but we don't need that kind of an egomaniac in office either.

Any one who thinks they're so awesome that they should be President is someone with an inflated sense of self worth.

But just because all Presidential candidates are egoist doesn't make them all egomaniacs.

Clearly, Obama is an egomaniac. He's more interested in his own reelection than the lives of our troops.

But, how does Gingrich's ego compare? I don't know, but some of his ex-wife's accusations seem plausible to me.

Not that he asked her for an "open marriage", as she characterizes the conversation. But that no, he wasn't going to stop sleeping with his mistress but he didn't want her to divorce him because that would hurt his political career.

You can characterize that as an "open marriage", but he's not asking to be a swinger as the phrase implies.

Yeah, I think that about nails how I see things.

He thinks he's so important to America that he didn't want a second divorce to ruin his chances or America's prospect for a bright and glorious future.

That, my friends, is the very essence of egomania. Someone who thinks they're so important that the normal rules don't apply to them, and who's personality is so great that they personally will save the world.

Kind of like someone else we know. Someone who's Presidency is so important that his reelection comes before anything else, even the very lives of the troops.

I know that President Obama is that bad. I'm beginning to fear the same thing about Newt.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope that Newt has finally found religion. This is, what, his third religion he's embraced as an adult?

It's almost as if a pattern is emerging here ....

I'm not saying people can't change, they can. I have a very close relative who found religion late in life. He was a different person at 70 than he was at 30. But there were years and years intervening in which trust was rebuilt between himself and the ones he hurt.

The thing is, Newt only got remarried in 2000. I've been married longer than Newt.

The other day they were talking about him on the news and I had to turn it off.

My 12 year old daughter had walked in the room and I didn't want to have to explain to her what exactly an "open marriage" was.

People, that is not a good sign. Is it possible that I, and others, have let Newt's debating skills get to us? That we were ready to conveniently forget all the baggage that Newt brings with him because he is the most articulate in attacking our political foes?

That baggage -- that arrogance -- is tied to Newt's sense of his own greatness. That he wants to insert himself into history on the coattails of his heroes Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II.

Yeah, I think that's it.

I know why I'm no longer in the tank for Newt Gingrich. He reminds me too much of Barrack Obama.

American Detained In Chicago
Planned to Join Islamic Jihad Union

Yahoo:

AURORA, Colo. (AP) — The FBI arrested a refugee from Uzbekistan at Chicago's O'Hare airport on charges that he planned to travel overseas to fight for a terrorist group and give up his life if necessary, an official said Monday.

However, there was no evidence that suspect Jamshid Muhtorov was plotting attacks inside the United States, authorities said.

Muhtorov, 35, of Aurora, Colo., was arrested Saturday by members of the FBI's Denver and Chicago Joint Terrorism Task Forces.

Muhtorov, who goes by several other names, was indicted for providing and attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. Prosecutors allege he planned to fight for the Islamic Jihad Union, which has been blamed for suicide attacks in Uzbekistan and claimed responsibility for numerous attacks against coalition forces in Afghanistan.
Muhtorov was arrested without incident before he could board a flight to Istanbul, Turkey, said Dean Boyd, a spokesman for the U.S. Justice Department in Washington.

...Investigators obtained a search warrant for Muhtorov's apartment for a laptop computer, a Blackberry cellphone, and permission to search two email accounts they said were used by Muhtorov, according to the indictment.
The FBI said Muhtorov communicated with a contact with the terror organization by email using code words, asking to be invited to the "wedding." He also told the contact that he was "ready for any task, even with the risk of dying." the FBI said

CBS reports his other aliases are Abumumin Turkistony and Abu Mumin. A copy of the complaint is here.

There's only one explanation for this..

This Isn't the Hurriya You're Looking For

Like rusty says, "Muslims decide what Islam is." Not us nor our self delusions about what we think Islam should be.

National Review:

The tumult indelibly dubbed “the Arab Spring” in the West, by the credulous and the calculating alike, is easier to understand once you grasp two basics. First, the most important fact in the Arab world — as well as in Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other neighboring non-Arab territories — is Islam. It is not poverty, illiteracy, or the lack of modern democratic institutions. These, like anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, and an insular propensity to buy into conspiracy theories featuring infidel villains, are effects of Islam’s regional hegemony and supremacist tendency, not causes of it. One need not be led to that which pervades the air one breathes.

The second fact is that Islam constitutes a distinct civilization. It is not merely an exotic splash on the gorgeous global mosaic with a few embarrassing cultural eccentricities; it is an entirely different way of looking at the world. We struggle with this truth, which defies our end-of-history smugness. Enthralled by diversity for its own sake, we have lost the capacity to comprehend a civilization whose idea of diversity is coercing diverse peoples into obedience to its evolution-resistant norms.

So we set about remaking Islam in our own progressive image: the noble, fundamentally tolerant Religion of Peace. We miniaturize the elements of the ummah (the notional global Muslim community) that refuse to go along with the program: They are assigned labels that scream “fringe!” — Islamist, fundamentalist, Salafist, Wahhabist, radical, jihadist, extremist, militant, or, of course, “conservative” Muslims adhering to “political Islam.”

We consequently pretend that Muslims who accurately invoke Islamic scripture in the course of forcibly imposing the dictates of classical sharia — the Islamic legal and political system — are engaged in “anti-Islamic activity,” as Britain’s former home secretary Jacqui Smith memorably put it. When the ongoing Islamization campaign is advanced by violence, as inevitably happens, we absurdly insist that this aggression cannot have been ideologically driven, that surely some American policy or Israeli act of self-defense is to blame, as if these could possibly provide rationales for the murderous jihad waged by Boko Haram Muslims against Nigerian Christians and by Egyptian Muslims against the Copts, the persecution of the Ahmadi sect by Indonesian and Pakistani Muslims, or the internecine killing in Iraq of Sunnis by Shiites and vice versa — a tradition nearly as old as Islam itself — which has been predictably renewed upon the recent departure of American troops.

The main lesson of the Arab Spring ought to be that this remaking of Islam has happened only in our own minds, for our own consumption. The Muslims of the Middle East take no note of our reimagining of Islam, being, in the main, either hostile toward or oblivious to Western overtures. Muslims do not measure themselves against Western perceptions, although the shrewdest among them take note of our eagerly accommodating attitude when determining what tactics will best advance the cause.

A bit later in the piece is what I think is one of its best points. Concepts such as Freedom are lost in the translation between Arabic and English, Islamic and Western culture..
In this self-imposed ignorance, most Americans still do not know that hurriya, Arabic for “freedom,” connotes “perfect slavery” or absolute submission to Allah, very nearly the opposite of the Western concept. Even if we grant for argument’s sake the dubious proposition that all people crave freedom, Islam and the West have never agreed about what freedom means.
So if you've ever told an Islamist that the word freedom doesn't mean what he think it means. For instance trading the dictatorship of Ghadafi for the hard core Islamic Sharia is not exactly what you had in mind...well yeah...

Bibles Desecrated in SF, Christians Riot

Oh, wait, the actual headline should read: Bibles desecrated in San Francisco by rioting #OWSers as they assault police officers, Christians react as they always do, which is to say calmly and like adults.

Obama the "Vulture Socialist"

I haven't linked to WND since they went birther on us. In fact, I vowed I would never link them again. But, "Vulture Socialist"? Yeah, that's too good a catch phrase to pass up:

Obama is a ‘vulture socialist’

Obama took money from Americans by force (did you think the IRS was voluntary?) and borrowed money from the Chinese when taxation did not yield enough money. Obama then applied the money to create/subsidize companies to make products he knew people didn’t want at prices they could not afford....

Afraid that Americans are catching on to his “vulture socialism,” Obama is already running TV ads for his re-election touting the creation of “2.7 million jobs” from “America’s clean energy industry.” Many of those jobs were already in place before Obama took office, and many more are now endangered by the fact that the market is not buying what Obama is selling. As happened in Spain, for every green job created, 2.5 jobs in existing manufacturing have been lost....

Using government force, Obama spends $10 billion per day (and borrows more than $4 billion of that per day) to keep the federal Leviathan on course to “utterly transform” our economy and erode American freedoms.

And Mitt Romney, the guy who specializes in turning around failing enterprises and would apply that expertise to the failing federal government, is the bad guy?

Images: Taliban Proudly Murder 15 Pakistanis

Here's a vidcap from the latest Taliban propaganda video in which they shoot 15 men in the back of the head.

Just a reminder: the Taliban produced this video, it didn't get accidentally leaked.

They're proud when the murder people.

taliban_murder_15_pakistanis.jpg

If pissing on dead Taliban offends a certain portion of the Islamic world, then the real problem is in the Islamic world not with the act of pissing on dead terrorists.

And yes, they are terrorists.

Mostly I'm just venting here. I know our soldiers should be better than pissing on some dead bastard. But for chrissake, let's have a little perspective here.

The only candidates running for president that are not an unthinkable dark black evil are Obama and Romney.

That is all.

AP Misses

"The two pillars of 'political correctness' are: a) willful ignorance and b) a steadfast refusal to face the truth."
~George MacDonald

In an article, the Associated with terrorists Press tries to waterdown a hate-filled speech by Palestinian's top Muslim cleric. Since the cleric's comments cannot be repudiated using Islamic texts, the press instead tries to weaken them by offering alternatives. The attempt only illustrates the AP's lack of understanding about the Quran:

The Quran, Islam's holy book, offers contradictory attitudes toward Jews and Christians. There are texts that enshrine tolerance and respect for other faiths, while others are spiked with hatred and incitement.

The text is not contradictory to those who understand the Quran. The Islamic holy book itself provides clarification in verse 2:106: "None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?"

The Quran was compiled, not in chronological order, but rather by length of each chapter. If you did sort the book by chronological order, you'd discover two things - first, the earlier chapters were revealed by Muhammad when he lived in Mecca and the later chapters were revealed after he left to Medina. Second, that the Mecca verses are more peaceful while the Medina verses call for force and violence.

This isn't coincidental. While in Mecca, Muhammad had few followers. He attempted to convert people through persuasion. When they laughed at him and his new 'faith,' he tried to maintain composure with peaceful verses such as 109:6, "Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion."

It was only after he fled Mecca that he became angry and bitter, and this was reflected in later verses in the Quran. The new verses were increasingly violent and intolerant in direct contradiction to earlier verses. When his followers began to notice this, Allah, via Muhammad, conveniently added verse 2:106, which essentially replaced earlier, peaceful verses with "something better."

All holy books have contradictions. After all, they may contain the words of gods, but they were written by humans. Where the Quran stands alone is with its specific instruction on how these contradictions should be recognized. That isn't to say Muslims can't choose to follow the peaceful verses while ignoring the violent ones. They certainly may.

But lets stop pretending that radical clerics and Islamists are the ones taking verses out of context and "misunderstanding" the words of Muhammad. If we are to defeat radical Islamists, we need to first acknowledge that their motivation is a very real part of Islamic history. Let us - all of us, peaceful Muslims and non-Muslims alike - stop making this politically correct category error. It only puts us at a disadvantage.

U.S. drone attacks kill at least 4 in Pakistan: officials

They're BBBBBaaaaaaaaaaaacccccckkk!

Reuters

U.S. drone aircraft fired missiles in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region on Monday, killing at least four militants, intelligence officials and tribesmen said, the latest strikes in a resumption of the air campaign.

The unacknowledged Central Intelligence Agency drone program, a key element in President Barack Obama's counter-terrorism strategy, was seemingly paused after a November 26 NATO cross-border air attack killed 24 Pakistani soldiers, triggering fury. The United States resumed the program on January 10.

In Monday's attacks, two missiles hit a vehicle in the village of Degan, and another two struck a house in nearby Mohammedkhel village.

Intelligence officials said the strike on the vehicle killed mostly Turkmen, who were possibly members of al Qaeda. There may be more casualties, the officials added.

I guess the check cleared..

Churches Give Refuge To #Occupy Protesters; Protesters Repay By Stealing Items And Peeing On Cross

New York churches offered shelter to #Occupy protesters, who repaid the kindness by stealing church items and pi$$ing on crosses (emphasis mine):

In Brooklyn, at another church housing OWS protesters, an occupier urinated on a cross, according to Rabbi Chaim Gruber, who has angrily abandoned the OWS movement. [...]

At West Park, Rev. Brashear walked into the church for a morning service to find the 18-inch-diameter bronze basin and lid missing from the baptismal font’s 800-pound base. Holy water — straight from the River Jordan — had been poured from the missing basin insert into the base’s bowl. (Source)

I'm not surprised by this news. And the churches shouldn't be surprised. #Occutards have no respect for anything.

Obama supports the #Occupy protesters.

Pelosi blesses them.

@AlecBaldwin thinks they're "good".

Below the fold, the list.

US drone strike in Somalia kills Britain-linked al-Qaeda agent

Al Qaeda just lost another senior leader...this one is going to sting a little.

Telegraph

A US drone strike killed one of the most senior al-Qaeda agents in Somalia, a Lebanese jihadist who grew up in Britain and who was believed to have helped plan the World Cup bombings in Kampala, it was confirmed on Sunday.....

Bilaal al-Barjawi, who reportedly lived in West London until moving to East Africa seven years ago, died when three American-launched missiles hit his convoy of vehicles as they drove south of Mogadishu, the Somali capital.

He had been fighting alongside Somalia's al-Shabaab Islamists since 2006 and was previously al-Qaeda's head of intelligence in Kenya, authorities said.

He was seen as second-in-command to Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who directed al-Qaeda's bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

Al-Barjawi reportedly worked for a West London refrigeration and air-conditioning company before moving to East Africa. The Foreign Office denied reports that he was a British national.

Al-Shabaab celebrated his death in a statement on a jihadist website, using his alias Abu Hafsa.
