MSNBC's Joe Scarborough (former conservative GOP House member) rips Armstrong Williams
My God, Joe Scarborough just ripped Armstrong Williams to shreds on MSNBC. Scarborough was such a conservative ass when he was in the House. Now he's publicly calling on the Inspector General of the Dept of Education to investigate this scandal. "I'm tellin you friends, this is dangerous new territory," Scarborough said. "A story of Washington sleaze," he calls it. My God. Scarborough has had some refreshing honesty on other issues as well recently. I think some folks on the left need to reach out to him. He's one of those unlikely allies who apparently is actually willing to play fair.

Who needs healthcare reform?
Surely not the US. Why it's perfectly normal and acceptable for a family to spend $200,000 despite being covered by insurance to help their son who has cancer. It's probably all of the malpractice litigation and surely has nothing to do with the lucrative business of being an oncologist/chemical-salesperson-who-works-on-commission.
At least this family used the Dick Cheney cure-all for solving there financial crisis.

December jobs numbers miss again
As usual, the number were well under the 175,000 forecasted but at least they are ever-so-slightly ahead of the 150,000 needed to keep up with new entrants to the market. I suppose we should all be happy that December was 7,000 above that minimum.
