quick and easy thanksgiving treat packets | pebbles inc.

I'm going to start my Thanksgiving prep with some fun little treat packets for some of my sweet neighbors.  Every mom needs a little treat (full of sugary goodness) when she's knee-deep in Holiday prep, so I'm sending some goodies their way!  Aren't they cute?  You'd never guess they had their beginnings in a Halloween collection, would you?!?  Here's how easy these packets are to whip up: Start by cutting a 9" x 6" rectangle from patterned paper.  Add scallops to the top and bottom edges with a punch or decorative scissors if you wish:

Use red sticky tape to secure the two outside edges together to form a tube:

Next, press the bottom edges together:

Use a sewing machine to secure the bottom edges together.  If you cut scallops, be sure to line them up!

This is how it looks after the bottom is sewn closed.  Place the treats inside now!

Next, cut a label shape from a coordinating paper:

 And fold it in half:

Use a staple to secure the label across the top of the filled packet:

Add a sticker or a die-cut to cover the staple:

Finally, wrap the packet with twine and tie in a bow!

mini thankful banner and treat boxes | doodlebug design

I love adding little festive touches to our Fall decor to turn it into "Thanksgiving" decor, so I'm switching up this simple frame with a little "Thankful" banner!  And, don't look now, but I'm making some little party favor type boxes to fill with delicious white chocolate popcorn!

Since Doodlebug didn't come out with a new collection for Fall or Thanksgiving this year, I wanted to use some of my favorite fall colors from the basics collection.  I used a leaf die to cut each colorful leaf and beautiful gold "Abigail" letter stickers to create each flag on the banner. Each set of leaves is connected to the banner with a gold or brown mini clothespin.

I used some pre-made craft boxes for the treats, but, of course, I doodlebugified them!!

I used the same leaf die-cuts, along with mini doilies, mini clothespins, and doodle twine.

Then I filled each one with yummy white chocolate covered popcorn!

Wouldn't it be cute to add a name to each clip and use these as placecards for Thanksgiving?!?

To sum up, I'm super thankful for all things Doodlebug!  I'm always inspired when I pull out Doodlebug products to create!  Hopefully you're finding time to be grateful and celebrate it over the coming weeks!

quick and easy thanksgiving decor | pebbles inc.

Hi friends! Today I'm going to share a quick and easy Thanksgiving decor project.  I know how busy everyone is this time of year, but it's still important to make time to do the things you love...and if paper crafting and home decorating are things you love...I have the perfect project for you!  This framed piece can be whipped up in a matter of minutes and will add a personal and festive touch to your home during the Thanksgiving season!  Keep reading to see how easy it is! Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Decor project by @WendySue for @PebblesInc with the "Midnight Haunting" collection
Start by cutting a circle from patterned paper (be sure it's slightly smaller than the frame you will be using):

The next step is optional, but adds a fun touch.  Use your sewing machine to sew around the circle two or three times.  The lines don't have to be straight, in fact, it's better if they aren't!

Next, cut the words "thankful" and "blessed" or any other word you'd like to use with a digital cutting machine.  If you don't have one, use some of your favorite Thickers or other letter stickers!  I cut mine from off-white cardstock and glued them on:

Now is the time to add a foiled floral die-cut to the center. I used foam adhesive for dimension:

Next, place the entire circle on a piece of coordinating patterned paper, cut to the size of the frame:

Finally, pop it in the frame and you're all done!
