Always Dream Play Park

Olympian Kristi Yamaguchi's organization Always Dream opened an accessible play park in January 2010.

via its site:

Funded by the Always Dream Foundation, this extraordinary playground is situated in beautiful, 450 acre, Central Park. Inspired by a program that the Foundation helped develop for a summer camp in Hawaii, this playground is a place where all children, including those confronting the challenges of a disability can play together and learn from each other.

Accessible Playgrounds:That All Might Play

At the right upper corner of my sidebar, you'll see that I have a link to help parents and others find accessible playgrounds for children. Out of all the information I have on this blog, finding ways to help all children play is at the top of the list. Whether it's recreational or competitive sports, We Push Sports supports the grass roots efforts of so many to bring play into the lives of all.

This is the promotional video put together by Shane's Inspiration to help spread the word about their mission to create universally accessible playgrounds and programs that integrate children of all abilities socially, physically and emotionally fostering acceptance, friendship and understanding.
