Too Funny !!!

OMG would you just look at this!  My husband took Zoey to the grain store which also sells dog & pet items....such as this giant TOY display.   This store happens to be Pet Friendly so alot of customers bring their dogs inside.....

I like the way the store "strategicaly" displays the dog toys ..... right at the bottom....so all the dogs can get at them!

OMG my husband said she dove right in looking......so he snapped a pic and emailed me....I just had to share....what a hoot!

She's like a little kid in a Candy store ...dontcha think!

NEW COLOR---NEW SMALLER SIZE......

I have been experimenting with dye techniques and smaller pattern sizes.....  I really like the way this color turned out.  I tried something different and got a black "tipped" look on this one.  I also did this guy in my SMALLEST size ever......  He is a cutie patootie!  He wears a little scarf & hat I made from old faded red vintage wool childrens pants....and he comes with this adorable wood & metal vintage sled.

Christmas Scenes at My House

Welcome to my house. Here is one of the horse corral gates......... the boys have to be festive too! I even put a lighted wreath on the barn door :)

The boys. Cody, Garret & Jack.
The view of my house from the horse corral.

A decorated railing....

The big tree.....it's a real one.

My front door....

My very old nativity set given to me by my grandmother. I do believe it is made of chalkware.

My kitchen table centerpiece I put together this weekend. Went into the woods and cut a few pine branches set them inside a wooden tray with a real pineapple and some candles......a really nice natural look.

And of course, I finished up my fabulous decorated sugar cookies.....Christmas just wouldn't be complete without them :)

Well, I still have wrapping, more last minute shopping and preparation of the Christmas dinner. We skip the traditional turkey and always do our version of "meatball on a wick" sandwiches with some spaghetti or lasagna. The sandwich comes from a little restaurant called Santasiero's and is located on the westside of Buffalo, New York. It's been there since 1921 and the decor hasn't really changed much since then either.. LOL! I have been going there since my childhood and my parents have been going there since their childhood. They grew up in Buffalo. Everytime we visit relatives, we have to stop and eat at what we always call, "Lafayette & Niagara" cuz it's located on the corner of those streets :) ....if you ever get over in that part of the planet.....this is a MUST place to stop and grab a bite...you won't be disappointed in their food!

How Come Smaller always says ...CUTE?!

Isn't kinda weird that when we see something in a smaller size, after we've seen it in a larger size..... the first word that comes to mind is..... CUTE! Why is that? Anyhow....I wanted to share with you my smaller size version of my Zee Brah!
I made him in a little "Vintage Christmas" theme....since Christmas decorating is just around the corner....ack!I had found a box of vintage glass candlestick style christmas light bulbs while cleaning through my Mom's stuff and wondered what I could do with these.....I just love anything old and try to figure a new use for it. Well, I decided to alter the bulb a little by putting a bit of greenery, some red berries and a vintage ribbon on the inside of the cup part and then put the bulb into a vintage thread spool.... for a little make-do! I think it turned out great! I even made another one and put the bulb in a vintage wooden shoe mold! I'll have to take pictures and share that soon.

Anyway.....I have this little version of my Zee Brah on Ebay right now in case you want to see tons more pics and descriptions!

The Big Day Finally Arrived....

Well, I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas this year. Our Christmas was very nice ..... although we lost power Christmas Eve and had to break out the candles....thankfully it was a warmer evening (35 degrees) so it didn't get too cold in the house before the power was restored about 2 hrs later. Here is me and my daughter chatting at the counter when the power was out ..... waiting for Santa, of course!and my daughters in front of the tree.......

presents all unwrapped on Christmas morning.......

and an antique Minerva doll for me ..... I had to hang her on an old chippy painted ceiling tile and place her in my bedroom....
