Welcome our guest Designer and Another CAS Card

Ya know...some weeks I have it and some weeks I don't and SOME weeks I have it... but I forgot where I put it! Well, that is what happened to me this week... so I am posting my clean and simple card a little bit late. I water colored my dragon and cut her out. The I added the embossed "reptile" paper and the ribbon. Since I just had my anniversary... I needed to add the hearts...lovey dovey!
So that is my card. I was worried that clean and simple might be hard for me... but I rather enjoyed the simple process and i am pleased with the result!
Now... lets give a great big warm Woodware USA welcome to our guest designer for April, Wendy Stamey . Please make sure you say Hello and stop by her blog to check out all of the gorgeousness that can be found there! Truly inspiring! Well... thanks for letting me be late and keep watching this spot for a fun Thursday challenge for our designers!

Halloween Color Challenge

I am not really into Halloween so I don't have much in the way of Halloween images.  I took out all of my Woodware stamp sets and the cat that came with the House Proud set made me think of a black cat for Halloween - and the rest came together from there.  I paper pieced the curtains with "Halloween" paper and I colored the Halloween eve sunset with water color pencils and an Aquabrush.  I stamped the cat on the windowsill and colored him in with a black Copic marker (it is a line art image).  I just penciled in the moon rising.  The curtains are up on foam squares.
Just a reminder - Woodware is giving a free ink pad with every order until December 25.
Please come back tomorrow to see what Dawn created for Halloween!
Supplies: Stamps - WoodwareUSA House Proud; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - PaperTrey, Halloween dp from stash; Misc - Water color pencils, Aquabrush, Copic Marker, Foam Squares

You don't have to use Woodware stamps but if you have them we'd love to see them!  Just link up your card in the comments here so we can see your creation!  Come back here tomorrow to see what Dawn created using buttons and Woodware stamps!

Challenge #3 Treat Boxes (Anything But a Card)

Hi, it's Harriet today with my take on this week's challenge...anything but a card.  I don't create many 3D projects but this was fun to do!  I have these CD sleeves/envelopes that have the circle cut out and covered with acetate so I used it for the treat bag.  One treat that kids love to take to school are these goldfish crackers and the CD sleeve reminded me of a fish bowl.  So I used one of my favorite cat images from Woodware USA's Forbes and Friends set along with paw prints and fish scales.  Forbes is is watercolored and cut out with a circle Nestability and attached with glue dots to the inside if the bag.  I think this fat cat loves goldfish crackers as much as kids do!
I hope this inspired you to make a treat bag ... or anything other than a card! And if you do create something please provide a direct link to your creation in the comments section of this post so we can see!
Supplies: Stamps - Forbes and Friends; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - CD Sleeve, PaperTrey; Misc - Watercolor pencils, Aquabrush, Nestability, Goldfish Crackers

Challenge #2 Favorite Technique

Hi it's me - Harriet!  I have several favorite techniques - it depends on the image which technique I'll use.  For this sweet scene from Flower Frames I decided to use my water color pencils and aquabrush.  I love to color with water color pencils or with Prismacolor pencils and Baby Oil.  I usually have a clean and simple style but today I was inspired by this beautiful scene and created another scene around it!  The sentiment is from another Woodware set called Friendship.  You can click on the highlighted stamp set names to go directly to the stamp set on the Woodware USA site.
What is your favorite technique?  If you want to show us please link up your creations with a comment on this blog post!  We'd love to see what you create!  And please come back tomorrow to see which technique is Dawn's favorite!!
