autumnal amsterdam
Early in the morning we took our son Minne to the airport and made a (Satur)day trip to Amsterdam.
We arrived quiet early and we couldn't even find a place to have a coffee at this early hour.
It was still chilly and we enjoyed the peaceful morning walk through the Westerpark.
At the time we arrived in the heart of the city, it was getting warmer every minute and turned into another Indian summer day.
We had lunch at Wagamama and strolled on the Noordermarkt.
It was extremely busy in town because of the Amsterdam Dance Event and the Amsterdam City Walk, so at the end of the afternoon we escaped the crowd and went home.
What a lovely Amsterdam-day! We had two seasons in a one day, autumnal & quiet but also summery & super busy.

wood & wool harlequin rug - the pattern
Since I made my first harlequin RUG, I get lots of questions about the pattern.
My handmade harlequin rug is widely published in some interior magazines, the Bright Bazaar book, Mollie Makes Home and on many blogs.
I've made this harlequin rug with homemade fabric yarn, using piles of old T-shirts of me and my family (with their approval) Good riddance!
I have to admit that's a lot of cutting...
If you want to make this rug for your home, all you need is a hook size 12 and a huge pile of old T-shirt or about 2000 grams of fabric yarn.
After many years the 10-page harlequin rug PATTERN is now available in my Etsy shop!

Gallery HERFST / AUTUMN is a new initiative of Villa Augustus. Hotelroom 24, located at the garden of the hotel is occasionally transformed into a temporary gallery. Villa Augustus invites artists to show their work and so add an inspiring place to the hotel.
On Saturday, October 18 world famous French illustrator and designer, Nathalie Lété, will be the first to open the sliding door of HERFST / AUTUMN.
Book Launch in the Limonaia: An additional reason for Lété's stay at Villa Augustus, is the appearance of the Dutch edition of her pop-up book 'Wandeling van het kleine meisje "(original title:" Promenade de la petite fille "), published by Villa Augustus. Villa Augustus also brings two luxury notebooks with specially commissioned illustrations Lété created around the theme of reading. Following the opening of the gallery Nathalie Lété will be signing her books in the market of Villa Augustus.

piece of case
A crochet string bag is quite a project to make in one day during the Cool Crochet workshop, so I have designed a super cute cotton pads case for the bathroom.
Just love to invent new utensils!
Once it's there, you can't do without...
The cool crocheteers that joined the workshop in October all loved this bathroom perk up item! So I've wrote a detailed pattern for those who are interested.
The P A T T E R N in now available in my Etsy shop.
