Nissan NISMO 370Z

>> Saturday 11 April 2009

Japanese-based Nissan has unleased the NISMO-tuned 370Z Coupe. The in-house tuner has performed a number of upgrades on the NISMO 370Z which includes modifications on key areas including the exterior, suspension, and most importantly, under the hood.
On the outside aerodynamic body pieces are evident with an extended front nose design with a canard design at each corner for improved downforce and a fully integrated chin spoiler, special side sills and a unique rear bumper as well as a rear spoiler that helps increase downforce. Available in five body colours including Pearl White, Brilliant Silver, Magnetic Black, Solid Red and Platinum Graphite, the NISMO 370Z looks more aggressive thanks to a lower and wider stance. Just like the standard 370Z, this up-rated version comes with “boomerang” shaped headlights (with High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon design with an auto on/off feature) and tail lights.

Minor modifications were performed on the interior, with the NISMO logo visible on the seats which were finished with black/red fabric and red stitching, a NISMO tachometer, steering wheel with red stitching, leather-wrapped shift knob and aluminum trimmed pedals. As standard the NISMO 370Z comes with front seats with 8-way driver’s/4-way passenger manual adjustments and adjustable front seat Active Head Restraints, Nissan’s Intelligent Key with Push Button Start, power windows with one-touch auto up/down feature, power door locks with auto-lock feature, a center console box with a new non-intrusive cover design, automatic climate control, rear window defroster with timer, two 12-volt power outlets, four cupholders, dual overhead map lights and a AM/FM/CD/AUX 4-speaker audio system with illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls.

Safety and security fitments are made up by Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors, front seat-mounted side impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted side-impact air bags, seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, Active Head Restraints, Nissan’s Vehicle Immobilizer System, Vehicle Security System and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

Now onto what is under the hood. Well, first of all, the NISMO 370Z uses the same 3.7 liter V6 powerplant found in the standard 370Z, but with upgrades to help offer a higher output figure. These upgrades include a H-configured exhaust system design and muffler tuning, along with optimized ECM (Engine Computer Module) control. This means, power is up to 350HP (at 7,400 revs) from 332HP and torque is now rated at 374Nm (at 5,200 revs) instead of 366Nm.

Nissan SkyLine GT-R-R34 C-WEST demo car for sale

>> Tuesday 5 February 2008

Bonoriau latest OFFER :

Detail from the saler :
C-West never drove the car much, always in the showroom or in storage. They put about 8,000km on the car as a demo car but never raced it or drove it hard. Neither did I. I put the Nismo 320k speedometer in brand new when I got the car from them and now it is just over 2000km. So in total the car has about 10k, easy driving. I did have C-West tune the engine from stock after I bought the car from the C-West owner Omoto san about 5 years ago. Also I had them repaint it afterward. Yellow was only produced in 1999 and very limited production. The Japanese don't like yellow much, they like white and black or silver. So yellow was rarely ordered. I've only seen a few R34 GT-R in all my years in yellow. But C-West took the Lightning bolt Nissan yellow which was a bit bland and repainted in the color you see. Now it's on par with Ferrari or Porsche or Lamborghini colors, something Nissan never had sense to do, but it's still the original color... yellow. It does turn heads everywhere I go. Funny, C-West produced the die cast model (limited 500 pieces) in the same color. That was even before they repainted the real car for me. So this big car got the same color the die cast model had. These three points are some of the best selling points for the car. The whole exterior of the car is aero C-West kit. One other sales point is I changed out the whole interior to M-Spec Nur leather heated seats and panels and kouki white stitch. Also I added the kouki bigger rear brakes and calipers. Later upgrades like the rear wing and carbon trunk C-West came out with, I put on this car. I made it racey, but kept it drivable like a good street car, and looking like the original demo car. I think it's about 480 horse power, maybe 500. Since the engine with was tuned from stock with new parts, it has been driven just over 2000 kilometers by me only, and it reads so on the clock, the Nismo 320k speedo I put in at that time new. "

Nissan Forum concept officially announced

>> Friday 21 December 2007

Scheduled to make its world debut at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, the Nissan Forum Concept was officially announced today. The seven seater family car concept was developed by Nissan Design America and gives us a glimpse of future family transportation, trackless sliding side doors, no B-pillars and an interior featuring a multi-position swiveling 2nd row seat and next-generation entertainment. All that powered by a clean diesel engine featuring CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) technology.
Rachel Nguyen, director, Advanced Planning and Strategy, Nissan North America, Inc. said: “From a conceptual standpoint, FORUM is closer to a family limousine than the minivans Gen Xers have grown up with. But unlike a real limo – or sometimes traditional minivans – the FORUM driver is just as important as the passengers [..] It offers a sophisticated space for adults and an engaging space for children – allowing both groups to enjoy themselves in their own individualistic ways while being connected in one vehicle. Like every Nissan, this dramatic FORUM Concept combines passionate driving, emotive design and an abundance of advanced, user-friendly technology.”

2009 Nissan GT-R

>> Wednesday 21 November 2007

The 2009 Nissan GT-R, an all-new high-performance coupe, goes on sale next summer.
The name GT-R (for grand turismo racer) has been legendary in Japan since 1969 when Datsun applied the Skyline GT-R moniker to a four-door sedan. That car went on to win 36 races in four years, then disappeared. The name was reborn in 1989 as an all-wheel-drive production sports coupe with supercar performance. The last Skyline GT-R was offered in 2003.

Nissan will finally bring the GT-R to the United States as a 2009 model starting in June 2008. The Skyline name has been dropped (now used by Japanese home market versions of the Infiniti G35 sedan and G37 coupe).

A 2+2 coupe, the 2009 Nissan GT-R is based on a new platform Nissan calls PM for Prime Midship. Nissan says PM is an advanced version of the Front Midship (FM) architecture that is home to the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G37 coupe, among others. Like FM, PM aims for balanced weight distribution by moving the engine back so most of its weight is behind the front axle. The GT-R rides on a 109.4-inch wheelbase.

2009 Nissan Murano

>> Friday 16 November 2007

Apparently these are leaked photos of the 2009 Nissan Murano, which is the second generation since the first generation Murano was released back in 2003. Some called it the spaceship SUV because of its futuristic looks.

Fast forwards a few years and its time for a full model change, and the new Murano still has the old Murano’s general shape, but the front grille is alot more aggressive, and overly edgy with large chrome bars. The interior is quite different, looking less like a SUV-ized 350Z interior now. UPDATE: Added a shot of the rear after the jump
