Creating Panels with Mini Floral Stamps + Video

Hi, there!  It is really cold again today - totally opposite of these spring-like cards.  But, spring is on its way!

Do you have a lot of mini floral stamps?  I realized a lot of my clear stamp sets include tiny flowers.  I also realized I don't use them that often.  So, I wanted to come up with a few different ways to showcase mini florals.

Today, I've got a couple of cards that use mini florals to create panels.  I've also got a video with some tips.

Louisa loves to play with my old wood stamps.  She pretends to stamp things, like the bedroom door and then lays them all out in a line.  I had totally forgotten about this stamp.  I've had it quite awhile and never used it.  I can't imagine why - it's totally adorable!

I thought it would be fun to match the shape of the card to the shape of the stamp.  And then came up with the panel idea, because of all those  mini floral stamps floating around in my head.

Used simple copic coloring and  matched the colors in the floral panel to the colors I had used for the bunny stamp.

Next up is this oh, so sweet bear and bird card.  You can see I made the panel on this card a little smaller and used it as the backdrop for the banner.

The other difference is that this one was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink for the no-line look.

Here's the video:

Do you notice that you have a lot of mini floral stamps?  I'll be sharing some more ideas to use them soon.

Have a wonderful week!

Sliding Message Cards+Video+Kitty in a Sugar Bowl Printable

Blue bunnies, a cutie pie bear and a purr-fect valentine kitty - who could ask for more?  Well, how about sliding message cards?

So much fun...and cuteness...and a video...and a valentine printable.  Yay!

The cutie pie bear is a die from Sizzix - part of the Animal Portraits set.  It's not linked below, because I couldn't find it for sale anywhere.  In fact, I got mine off of ebay.

"I love you once, I love you twice, cause..."

"Loving you is super nice!"

Such a sweet sentiment and I love how it could be revealed with the the sliding message design.

I had so much fun coloring these bunnies blue!  How to color the bunnies is a little bonus in the video.

Sliding message cards are pretty easy to make and I have lots of tips to make them even easier.  Be sure to check out the video:

This sweet kitty is ready for you to download if you need a last minute valentine.  I turned it into a card for my grandma to give to Louisa and also as a tag for a valentine treat bag.

Easter Girl Card with Inlaid Die Cuts

We had a bunny:  Little Bo Binkin.  He lived 13 years.  He loved cinnamon toast and would actually beg for it.  He really like carrots, too, but cinnamon toast was what he lived for!

Isn't she sweet with her little bunnies?  These bunnies obviously love carrots!

The background of this card is really pretty with inlaid die cuts.  Packs a lot of punch for something so easy!

I just got these pretty medallion dies and think they're perfect for this technique.

Basically, inlaid die cuts is just placing the die back into the negative space created when you cut the die.  Simple, but effective.

This Easter cutie is ready for download if you would like to create a little something with her.

Download Easter Girl with Two Bunnies HERE.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people.  Either right click and save when image appears or click the download button in the top right corner.  If neither method works, email me and I'll send the files to you.

Little Bo was really a great pet, but he had one BIG problem.  He would chew anything and everything.  Furniture feet?  Yummy.  Couch pillows?  Yummy.  Lauren's toys?  Yummy.  When he was out we had to watch him like a hawk.  It was a little stressful.  At least, I can enjoy these cute bunnies without having the chewing issue!

Have a lovely week!

I had so much fun creating a shaker tag with the new dies and topping it with that adorable little girl!

Here's a quick look at the inside of the tag and the new petunia seed beads.

Did you notice the gift bag in the first picture?  Did you see it has a roll top with straws?  I've got a video showing how to create the bag, as well as the shaker tag.   Check it out below:

How about a card with the new Pretty Pink Posh goodies?

Actually,  this Easter card combines new and old goodies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I love the butterfly stamp and thought that it might make a pretty background.   I die cut watercolor paper with the new stitched notes inner panel and heat embossed butterflies all over it.  Then I gave it a water wash and dropped watercolor on the panel.

The frame cut out let's you see a bit of the inside sentiment peeking through.
