You are such a Deer and a Cupcake, Too!

Hi! Hope you had a nice weekend. We actually went to the movies yesterday! We don't go very often. We saw Avatar. I thought the story was great (Dennis, not so much). I'm not sure the 3D was that awesome, though. The glasses hurt behind my ears after awhile and most things seemed 2D anyway. However, I still bought in to the story and was tense almost all the way through. I kept thinking, "NO! DON'T DO IT!" But I knew they would. The destruction was hard to watch and that humans were responsible hard to take.

I'm sharing a sweet card today. I cut the vintage image apart and enlarged the butterflies a little. The papers are from K & Co. I just love the little deer and bluebird...so cute! The stamp is an old one from Stampin'Up.

This is my cupcake.
I watched the how-to video from Fabulously Artsy. Then, created my own. It is designed to hold a giftcard. I attached a flower and ribbon to a tag and then used a paperclip to hold on the giftcard. It worked great!

Happy New Year!

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We went with Lisa and John to eat and see Sherlock Holmes. I thought Sherlock was really good. It was fun and different from previous actors' Sherlock Holmes portrayals. Although there is also a lot of similarities, just a little grittier. The above card was done for Kirby (who I work with) to give his wife. There first date was on New Year's Eve so they still give each other a little something. Isn't that sweet?

My mom and dad's 48th wedding anniversary was this week. Here are a couple of cards I did for them to give each other. This one was for Mom to give to Daddy. Made from lots of Jenni Bowlin, including her new calendar cards.

This one was for Daddy to give to Mom. I think the image is so sweet!

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! I love you!

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was a little strange, since travel was almost impossible. We actually set a record here in OKC! My parents and Paul's mom and brother couldn't get here, so we are going to have the rest of our Christmas today. I love the Madonna image I used on this card. She is so pretty!

Sweet Vintage Christmas Cards

Can you believe Christmas is almost here? I was saying that it just didn't feel like Christmas yet, then the other night I watched "The Grinch." I've always loved it and watching it made it feel a little more like Christmas for me. I'm showing three sweet cards made with two darling little angels and one darling little girl.

You know how I feel about vintage images...just can't get enough!

I have a few more Christmas things to post and will try to do that this week. Hope you're in the Christmas spirit - if not, go watch "The Grinch!"

Fairies and Frogs

Hi! Hope everyone's weekend has been wonderful! It's cooled off quite a bit...feels more like November. I've used this image before (on a journal). I really like it and decided to use it again on this card. When we moved into our house (21 years ago) there was a little albino frog (or was it a toad) living in our basement. I remember being amazed that he'd been there long enough to lose his color. Lauren and I worried about him for awhile, but then decided he'd been fine for quite some time...

Have a wonderful week!

Hi! Hope you've had a great weekend. Lauren was here and I always love when she's at home. Here are a couple of birthday cards that have the cutest little girl vintage images. The polka dot paper and cupcake is from the new Nook and Pantry collection from Basic Grey

The pretty scallop on the round card is cut with the Cricut Storybook cartridge. Have a happy week!

You're the Cherry on Top!

I found this vintage image of cute cherries and just had to use them! October Afternoon had the perfect cherry paper to go with them with a little Cosmo Cricket, too!
