Casing Amanda Reddicliffe

When I saw Amanda's Just Add Christmas card, my first thought was "I must case that!"  It's so gorgeous, and uses three elements that I just adore - Crumb Cake cardstock (the cardstock formerly known as Kraft), heat embossing and that scrumptious wide striped grosgrain ribbon.  Heavenly!

Here are my two versions (I had to play around because I don't have the sets Amanda used... they're now on my ever expanding wishlist!):

My bows aren't as good as Amanda's... *sniff*

Now... is it poor form to send someone a CASE of their card for Christmas??  ;-)

Materials:
Stamp sets - Contempo Christmas, Serene Snowflakes, Snowy Days (There She Goes)
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Inks - Versamark, Black Stazon
Accessories - White embossing powder, heat tool, Red Riding Hood Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Serene Snowflakes For UStamp

My latest UStamp project has been featured online, so I can finally share it here!  When we were told about this round, we were told we were to use a stamp set that's in the current US catalogue... this was before the Australian catalogue came out.  I chose Serene Snowflakes, desperately hoping it would be in our catalogue, but unfortunately it's not.  :-(  But here are my cards anyway!

Serene Snowflakes - CAS

The challenge at Simplicity this week is to use unexpected colour schemes on a one-layer card.  So I thought I'd have a go at a black and white Christmas card.  I did two versions, but the first one is my entry into the challenge.  :-)

So... what do you think?

Materials:
Stamp sets - Serene Snowflakes, Occasional Greetings
Cardstock - White Cambric Linen (non SU!)
Inks - Black Stazon (second card uses Going Grey as well)
