A Friendly Halloween Ghost

Happy Halloween!!!

I'm popping in with a friendly Halloween 'Hello'.  No tricks here - just treats!  I hope you are having a day filled with fun.

Today I'm sharing a cute ghost card using an image from Serendipity Stamps.  To create the background, I used a Textured Impressions Square Lattice Embossing Folder with Dusty Durango paper and ran it through the Big Shot.  It was then mounted to a latte card.  The top two layers were cut using the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty-Two and Labels Twenty Two.  The perfect size for this square card.

The images were stamped in StazOn Black ink on a piece of glossy white paper.  The pumpkin was colored with markers and I lightly sponged Brilliance Pearlescent Beige ink around the ghost.  Kaiser bronze rhinestones were added to each corner.

The inside Halloween greeting was stamped in Dusty Durango and embossed with clear embossing powder.  A few spiders were stamped and accented with a black Spica pen.

I'm hoping to see some 'Treaters' this year.  Unfortunately, last year no one came to our home.

Thanks so much for stopping to visit with me today.

Halloween Frights

Ghosts n' goblins and Halloween frights await you!  This witch's hat was stamped in StazOn Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and colored with Stampin' Up! markers in Yoyo Yellow, Lavender Lace and Lovely Lilac.  Stickles in Platinum makes the buckle sparkle!

To create the background, I took my Cuttlebug spider web embossing folder and lightly rubbed Brilliance Platinum Planet ink directly onto the inside of the folder before running it through the Big Shot.  Just be sure when you do this technique that you do not use permanent or solvent based inks as they will not come off the folder.

On a piece of Yoyo Yellow paper Halloween frights was stamped in StazOn Black and embossed in clear.  It was mounted to a grommet tag and adhered with black brads.

The inside verse was stamped in Lovely Lilac and embossed.  A few bats and a spider add some eeriness.

Thank you for sharing part of your day with me.  Only a few more days to Halloween!

Creepy Spiders

Hi blogging friends,

Are you ready for Halloween?  Is your home all decorated with spooky & scary stuff?  I am anxiously waiting to see the 'treaters' next week.  If you're skittish of spiders (like me) then you won't be too fond of my card today!

Using the Memory Box Creepy Frame & Debutante Frame, I cut a piece of Brushed Silver paper and Martha Stewart Haunted paper and adhered them together.  Dangling and creepy spiders were cut from black glitter paper and glued onto the vellum background.

A tag was created from Perfect Plum paper.  The sentiment was stamped in StazOn Black and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder.  I added silver metal dots to each end.

The inside sentiment is by Northwoods and was stamped in Perfect Plum with clear embossing powder.  A crow in the corner finishes it off.

A simple Halloween card which didn't take too much time to create.  I have been so busy lately re-doing my crafting studio.  At one point I couldn't even see the floor as I was pulling things out and sorting through everything.  It feels great to be more organized.

I hope you are enjoying everything that autumn has to offer ... frosty mornings, hot apple cider, walking in the leaves, carved pumpkins and apple pie!

Northwoods Winter Squirrel

When I saw this stamp by Northwoods I just knew I had to have it.  Well, don't we say that about all our stamps?  I just think this squirrel is so darn cute!

I stamped the image in StazOn Black onto Shimmery White paper and colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I don't know about you, but I love the Shimmery White paper so much better than the Whisper White.

Merry Christmas was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and embossed with clear embossing powder and layered to a Spellbinders grommet tag.  Lost & Found Christmas rhinestones were added to each end.

My intentions were to keep this card clean and simple.  Everything was adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler, then Mellow Moss and mounted to a Solar White Linen card.

The inside sentiment was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler and embossed.  The pine branches were stamped in Mellow Moss.

This is the last of my Christmas cards.  As much as I've enjoyed creating them it is time to pull out other stamp sets and start to think about Valentine's Day.  Thank you all so much for stopping by!
