Vote here! "Anyone's got a light" Holiday Challenge!

Happy Holidays! The Holiday Challenge Poems are posted here.

Vote using the poll at the top of this thread. The poll will close at 6 PM on Tuesday, January 6th, my time (CST) and the Holiday Scribe will be revealed.

You have three votes, but you can only vote on one occasion. In other words, don't hit the "Vote Now" button until you've made all three of your choices.

However, to make things equal, all those who participated in the competition have an extra vote (in addition to their three), which they must use to vote for themselves. That way, there are no crises of conscience or wailing and gnashing of teeth, and if a poem wins by a single vote margin, the difference won't be due to a personal vote.

With that out of the way - on your mark, get set, VOTE!

Feel free to post comment below if you've any thoughts on the poems, including guesses on who wrote them.

Thank you to all for playing!

Okay, I have one sure bet for guessing, and that would be DeniseD for "Genesis". I will save my ironclad reasoning for after the revelation. Beyond that, I'm not sure. "This Year I Pray for Courage" has some lovely phrases that could be Hare. It's unlikely, but somehow I think of Featherless, with "Letter to John Johansen", maybe because I know she experiments with line breaks, and I really loved the "strike me" line break choice. Everything else would be very wild guesses.

And, thank you to everyone who participated despite the busyness of this time of year. We got some nice poems under the tree out of it. And a big thanks to Vicky, for doing the posting! And making the Poll!

The only one that struck me immediately, was I Pray for Courage, which I am positive is Hare's work. Trench Art, maybe Neil? That's all I got.

That's positive indeed. But I haven't actually submitted a poem.

When Laurie and I both gang up on someone, it's a sure bet. Right? Right? Will you submit to a lie detector test?
