I've always wanted to try and make this. (My Dad was Polish). Good tip about rinsing out the sauerkraut first - I like it as it is out the jar, but my husband won't touch it. Maybe this dish will change his mind?

I'll bookmark it to try out when the weather gets cooler! We're roasting here just now!

    Thanks a lot.

I was there two years ago in May. Loved it. nothing like people watching on the square and enjoying a Zywiec! I also enjoyed the food but must admit I craved salad for weeks after I got home.... Take care and enjoy the spring.

Your recipes look great. I'll be trying the stew soon. Do you love Krakow? I thought it was a great town when I visited. Enjoyed many a pint on the square by the cloth market.

Thanks for your comments on my cold cure. I'm sure it must be good for something else too, perhaps a marinade? I've been to Ireland and it is a fine place. Recently I went to Greenpoint which is the Polish neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY and ate Pok chops with Hunter's Sauce for dinner. Great stuff, thanks for the recipe.

Would love to see the city. My grandmothers maiden name was Zielinski which is a very common surname. No one in the family has ever been back but I hope to be the first. My husbands boss is from Krakow and has a cousin who rents out her place so hopefully we will be able to take advantage of that.
