Review & Giveaway - Live Clean: Foaming Body Washes*


Live Clean is a brand that I've been using and reviewing here on the blog for a while, for my previous posts, click here to read all about it. They have recently launched a brand new line of body care products, following their past launch of foaming hand washes, they now have foaming body washes in three different varieties - Moringa and Matcha Butter, Shea and Muru Muru Butter and Mango and Aloe Butter. 

My favorite of the three is Moringa and Matcha Butter, if you're a fan of their Mineral Clay hair products and the scent, you will love this one. It's light, refreshing and honestly if they could do it in a room spray I would be so happy! Shea and Muru Muru smells very warm and exactly as you would think of how Shea would smell like. Mango and Aloe Butter is actually unscented, so if you are expecting some juicy mango deliciousness like I was, then you might need to choose another one (sorry!). It is however filled with other goodness like calming Oat Kernal Oil and is also aimed at those with sensitive skin.

The foam is gentle, like a cloud and works well to cleanse the skin while leaving it hydrated - it does not feel stripped at all. I usually use 2-3 pumps and it is enough to lather my whole body.

As always their products are plant derived with certified organic botanicals, is never tested on animals, vegan, and is free of SLS, Paraben, Petrolatum, Silicone, Phthalate, Phosphate and Dye. They are also Hopoallergenic and Dermatologist Tested.

Review & Giveaway: Veet Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler Expert*


While I frequently write about makeup and skincare products, lets not forget about body maintenance products as well - specifically ones to help keep things you know, tidy! Veet has recently released a new beauty styler product, called the Sensitive Precision Expert - which is now the #1 women's electric trimmer in Canada. It is actually an improvement to their first model, and is designed to help trim and precisely shape the hair on your delicate body parts - face/eyebrows, bikini and underarms without the fear of being nicked or cut.  

This trimmer can be used as is, or wet as it is waterproof! It retails for $29.96 (MSRP), and can be found at most Canadian retailers like Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart and Amazon.


The product comes neatly housed in this a plastic container and bag as you see above, and it comes with the trimmer gadget itself as well as 7 separate accessories. I really appreciate brands who take the time to think of the little things that go the extra mile for me, in this case, the pouch. I can easily just toss everything in the bag and store it in my washroom drawer.


While there are instructions in the product packaging itself, one thing I found helpful was the labelled comb attachments. The ones you see below - 2mm and 4mm are horizontal attachments to help you achieve a uniform hair trim. I would recommend this one for the bikini area. The one on the far left, is a comb attachment that gives you two different lengths in ONE attachment itself - more so aimed for the eyebrow. Again it is set at 2mm and 4mm.


One other great thing is that this trimmer only requires ONE battery - yay! and is very easy to use, just align the arrow together at the base of the unit, and twist shut. Also, there is a little brush to help you clean the razor.


The razor itself has a pivoting heat, which means you can adjust it to whichever angle is best for you to take care of the area you need - I know this was beneficial when trimming the brow area as you might not want it straight, but at an angle. One thing I would recommend is to set it at 4mm first, so you can see how you like it. You can always go shorter, but you can't reverse any mistakes if it is cut too short!

Review & Giveaway: Baby Bath-Time Essentials*


Caring for your newborn and your baby can be one of the most blessed yet nerve-wrecking moments. Knowing and learning how to dress your baby, what to feed them, how to take care and bathe time are all things you learn in time. If you are a reader of my blog, you will know that I have been a user of Live Clean products for a while now, and naturally when I was pregnant and researching bath products for my little one, Live Clean was one of the brands that consistently popped up. Review & Giveaway: Jason Dry Spray Deodorant*

JĀSÖN is a company that produces natural product since 1959 in California. Recently, they launched two new Dry Spray Deodorants that have been receiving some press like Allure for being the Best Natural Deodorant amongst its competitors. The two new scents are Fresh Cucumber and Soft Rose and the Deodorant is air-propelled delivering up to 24 hours of protection. What I truly appreciate is that the products do not contain aluminum, butane, parabens, pthalates, artificial colors or fragrances. I know from personal experience that aluminum irritates my armpits and causes red itchy and painful bumps, so having another deodorant in the market that doesn't irritate me is great. 

The deodorant also surprisingly applies clear, we were sent the black tank top in the photo to see whether or not the product would transfer, and it didn't! 


Fun fact, JĀSÖN means "healer" in Greek which would make sense as their products strive to use plant-based ingredients that are biodegradable and cruelty free. They create a wide variety of personal care products from haircare, hand soaps, body washes/lotions to tooth paste and mouthwash. 

Each bottle retails for $14.99 each and can be purchased at Whole Foods, Loblaws, Well.ca and other selected natural grocers. Palmer's is a product that has been around for ages - my first experience with it was when my hubby (then boyfriend) would always smell like yummy coconuts and have super soft skin - to the point where I was embarrassed that his skin was softer than mine! He introduced me to Palmer's and told me that this was the only lotion that effectively kept his dry skin at bay and where the fragrance wasn't bothersome or caused any skin irritations. Zoella Beauty Review with "Girl Online: On Tour" Giveaway!*


For those of you who are beauty fanatics like me, will obviously turn to YouTube to discover or follow other beauty bloggers/gurus. A few years ago, I started following a few beauty gurus from the UK, which included Tanya Burr and of course, Zoella.  She's super creative, has a great personality and her videos are never boring - you will definitely have to check her out! Since I discovered her channel, she has come out with two books as well as her own cosmetics and skincare line! 

You can find her products (in Canada) at select stores including: London Drugs, Pharmasave, Lawtons Drugs, Familiprix, IDA, Guardian, Brunet and Uniprix. 

I was sent the Blissful Mistful to try out and review while letting you all know about this awesome giveaway hosted by Farley Co (more details to come).

This body mist is described as "super light and feminine spritz to scent your body with fresh and floral notes. Enriched with Vitamin E and fruit extracts - bliss in a bottle. The suggested retail price is $16.99. 

My thoughts: 
To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect - I was very fearful that this would be really artificially sweet smelling and overwhelming. However, it really wasn't! I think that this is a perfect item to spritz on your body for a light and refreshing lift. It's light enough that with one spray you wouldn't be making people around you have a headache. I actually took this with me to the gym and have been using it after my showers and it gives me a wonderful refreshed citrus vibe. While it is said to contain Vitamin E, and that is great, I'm not sure how much I can truly benefit from that component as I won't be slathering my body in it (haha!) - However, having that in a lotion per say, would be awesome.

Nailpolish Canada - The Great Polish Giveaway

Natasha this one's for you - remember when we went to get pedicures for Nina's birthday and you fell in love with the color I picked?
