Hiking Bell Canyon

My mom came to visit us in June.  We had so much fun while she was here.  We love to go Hiking and she doesn't get to do that much in Texas.  So we took her up to Bell canyon for a nice long hike.  It was perfect weather.  The kids did outstanding.  I cannot believe how much energy they have.  Nina did pretty great too being a tri-athlete and all.  It wasn’t very tough for her. I am so glad we had a chance to do this.  We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Cowabunga

We have had a wonderful summer. We spent a lot of our time at Cowabunga  .  The kids all got passes for there birthdays from Grandpa Reese.  What a great gift!  We had a blast and we really went once a week. This water park is so great because it’s not very big.  All the slides are in one place and then there is the 3ft deep lazy river and beach area.  The kids literally can’t even be lost.  I love that about it.  We had so many fun days there.  My camera lens was dirty for the first few pictures.  Oops..

One of the days Craig came with us.  It was great having him there.  The kids always have so much fun with they’re dad.  It was the hottest day of the summer.

Andrew turns 9

Andrew had a really fun Birthday this year.  We had a party for him at home and we had family and friends over for BBQ.  Andrew is such a wonderful kid.  He is fun, smart and kind and we couldn’t be more proud of him.  Happy 9th year Andrew.  We love you!

Spring 2010 highlights

Blaze Game:

Wow I have a lot of updating to do.  I figured I would start with our families highlights for spring.

Andrew played indoor football this spring and his team had the opportunity to play at half time show of the Blaze game. That was super exciting for him. Some of the University of Utah football players were there signing kids up for a week long summer football camp and we got to meet some of them.  It was a super great experience for the boys.

Bear World:

We took a trip to Yellowstone in the spring and Our first stop was Bear World in Rexburg Idaho.  I had never been there before and let me tell you it was an amazing experience.  We got to drive up close to the bears and we took a tour bus around the park so we could feed them.  We also got to see bear cubs play and eat. There was also a petting zoo there for the kids to feed and get up close to the animals.  They also got to ride some rides.  This was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Yellowstone:

This year the forecast said it would be snowing and freezing.  It was true.  We all barely got out of the car’s it was so cold.  We tried to hang out in the lodge to stay warm.  We stayed at some cabins right by old faithful.  It was a great trip and the kids had a lot of fun.
