Julie Bowen was 39 in 2009 when Modern Family premiered, making her 50 years old when they filmed the season 11 finale.
In a 2019 US Weekly interview, Bowen explained that filming the final season has been emotional.
"That first day I just couldn’t get my breath," said Bowen. “I kept sobbing. It was sort of the beginning of the end. Now we’re in the groove it’s hard to imagine.
