  • It seems somewhat fated that Chandler Riggs was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999 given the fact that his first major role was on the Atlanta-based "The Walking Dead" (AMC 2010- ) television series. Riggs' career started at the age 7, when he appeared, oddly enough, as a zombie in the low-budget indie "Jesus H. Zombie" (2006). His next role didn't come for a few years, though, as he appeared in the Bill Murray and Robert Duvall family drama "Get Low" (2009), which was filmed in his home state of Georgia. The following year, at the age of 10, he joined the cast of "The Walking Dead" in its first season in the role of Carl Grimes, the son of the show's main character Rick Grimes. )William Riggs, his father, guest-starred on episodes of "The Walking Dead" in season 4.) As Carl, Riggs showed range as he showed the devolution of a normal boy into becoming a cold, morally grey character as the show wears on. With Riggs' newfound fame on the popular TV show, he tried to maintain a normal life, attending public schools in Georgia while also attending many conventions and even hosting a fan meet-up every year. Riggs also played main character George Bruckner in "Mercy" (2014), an adaptation of Stephen King's short story "Gramma" in which George has to take care of his demonic grandmother. As his chracter arc ended on "The Walking Dead" in 2017, Riggs co-starred opposite Bella Thorne in horror film "Keep Watching" (2017).

  • Sam Claflin became a famous face to audiences worldwide when he was cast as Finnick Odair in the phenomenally popular "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" (2013). Born in Norwich, England in 1986, Claflin was devoted to English football throughout his youth, and enjoyed playing at every opportunity. But during his teens, he broke his ankle during a game, forcing him to take a break from the sport and focus his energies elsewhere. The interest took hold, and Claflin eventually graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Claflin married fellow actor Laura Haddock that same year. He would go on to appear in the subsequent films in the "Hunger Games" franchise, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" (2014) and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" (2015), before reprising his role in "Snow White and the Huntsman" for the sequel, "The Huntsman: Winter's War" (2016). Claflin won accolades for his performance as a quadraplegic in "Me Before You" (2016) as well as for his performance in the period thriller "The Nightingale" (2019). • An inventive screenwriter and television producer who transformed himself into one of Hollywood's biggest feature directors, J.J. Abrams created some of television's most watched shows while simultaneously making huge blockbuster movies. Though he had a rather inauspicious start writing the scripts for "Taking Care of Business" (1990) and "Regarding Henry" (1991), Abrams made his first dent in the cultural zeitgeist with the hit drama "Felicity" (The WB, 1998-2002). Abrams truly began making his mark with the spy drama "Alias" (ABC, 2001-06), which turned lead actress Jennifer Garner into a star and helped resurrect a foundering ABC network. He went on to help create the cult phenomenon "Lost" (ABC, 2004-2010), a mysterious sci-fi thriller wrapped inside a stirring character drama that attracted a loyal audience, all of whom tried to decipher the previous night's episode. When he left the series during the height of its run, Abrams ventured into feature film directing with the well-received "Mission: Impossible III" (2006). He also paid homage to the classic '80s films of his hero Steven Spielberg with "Super 8" (2011), which audiences and critics hailed as one of Abrams' most engaging efforts in a career already rife with crowd-pleasing entertainment. It was his reboot of the famed franchise "Star Trek" (2009) that launched his blockbuster career in earnest and foretold of even greater things to come, including the 2013 announcement that he landed the coveted director's job on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015), which went on to overtake "Avatar" (2009) as the highest-grossing film in history (not adjusted for inflation). In September 2017, Abrams' return to the Star Wars universe was confirmed when it was announced that he would replace the departing Colin Trevorrow as writer and director of 2019's "Star Wars Episode IX."

She played lawyer Portia Bellefleur, the seemingly all-too-human sister to Andy Bellefleur, who discovered that she was in fact the descendent of vamp Bill Compton. • A likable supporting player on television with a distinctly outlaw, countrified look, actor-singer Christian Kane found success on two series with cult followings - "Angel" (The WB, 1999-2004) and "Leverage" (TNT, 2008-12) - while enjoying a second career as a country musician with several albums under his belt. Powerfully built and blessed with "bad boy" good looks, Kane frequently played determined young men; his Lindsey McDonald on "Angel" was a lawyer for an evil firm whose passion for a human-turned-vampire made him turn his back on his career to find love, while Eliot Spencer on "Leverage" frequently settled all scores by means of his physical strength. Kane's vocal talents, which he honed on Los Angeles stages as frontman for the band Kane, were also tapped on occasion to provide soundtrack material and even live performances on various shows. While Kane worked steadily in features, including "Secondhand Lions" (2003) and "Friday Night Lights" (2004), television was his most consistent showcase, and his work there developed a considerable following. His major label debut album, "The House Rules" (2010), also made a splash on the country charts, and confirmed Kane's status as a bona fide double threat in the entertainment business.

  • Ross Perot
    Age: 94
Henry Ross Perot (; born Henry Ray Perot; June 27, 1930 – July 9, 2019) was an American business magnate, billionaire, philanthropist, and politician. He was the founder and chief executive officer of Electronic Data Systems and Perot Systems. He ran an independent presidential campaign in 1992 and a third-party campaign in 1996, establishing the Reform Party in the latter election. Both campaigns were among the strongest presidential showings by a third party or independent candidate in US history. Born and raised in Texarkana, Texas, Perot became a salesman for IBM after serving in the United States Navy. In 1962, he founded Electronic Data Systems, a data processing service company. In 1984, General Motors bought a controlling interest in the company for $2.4 billion. Perot established Perot Systems in 1988 and was an angel investor for NeXT, a computer company founded by Steve Jobs after he left Apple. Perot also became heavily involved in the Vietnam War POW/MIA issue, arguing that hundreds of American servicemen were left behind in Southeast Asia after the Vietnam War. During the presidency of George H. W. Bush, Perot became increasingly active in politics and strongly opposed the Gulf War and ratification of the North American Free Trade Agreement. In 1992, Perot announced his intention to run for president and advocated a balanced budget, an end to the outsourcing of jobs, and the enactment of electronic direct democracy. A June 1992 Gallup poll showed Perot leading a three-way race against President Bush and presumptive Democratic nominee Bill Clinton. Perot briefly withdrew from the race in July, but re-entered the race in early October after he qualified for all 50 state ballots. He chose Admiral James Stockdale as his running mate and appeared in the 1992 debates with Bush and Clinton. In the election, Perot received 18.9% of the popular vote, but did not win any electoral votes. He won support from across the ideological and partisan spectrum, but performed best among self-described moderates. Perot ran for president again in 1996, establishing the Reform Party as a vehicle for his campaign. He won 8.4 percent of the popular vote against President Clinton and Republican nominee Bob Dole. Perot did not seek public office again after 1996. He endorsed Republican George W. Bush over Reform nominee Pat Buchanan in the 2000 election and supported Republican Mitt Romney in 2008 and 2012. In 2009, Dell acquired Perot Systems for $3.9 billion. According to Forbes, Perot was the 167th richest person in the United States as of 2016.

  • Michael Reilly Burke

    Michael Reilly Burke

    Age: 60
Michael Reilly Burke is a strong-jawed, classically handsome, often clean-cut actor who's become a familiar face to many avid TV viewers through his many appearances on prime-time's most popular police procedurals and science-fiction shows. After landing mostly one-off roles in the early 1990s, he garnered his first starring part opposite Larry Hagman in the legal drama "Orleans," a would-be heir apparent to the popular nighttime soap "Dallas." The show, however, was cancelled after just eight episodes, leaving Burke to move on to recurring roles on such hard-bitten crime dramas as the kinetic "24" and the iconic "NYPD Blue." In 2007, he got another, decidedly more successful, shot at starring on a television series, playing a boozy but well-meaning cop on the tumultuous "Lincoln Heights." In addition to guesting on the grisly forensics show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and two of its spinoffs, he has appeared on several series in the eternally celebrated "Star Trek" franchise and once put his sci-fi knowledge to the test as a contestant on the pop-culture-driven game show "Beat the Geeks." Burke has explored his darker side in many of his occasional film roles; he played the title role in the eerie, true-crime serial-killer shocker "Ted Bundy" and appeared as the brutalized victim of a madman in the gory home-invasion horror film, "The Collector."

In 1906, Goldman founded the anarchist journal Mother Earth. In 1917, Goldman and Berkman were sentenced to two years in jail for conspiring to "induce persons not to register" for the newly instated draft. After their release from prison, they were arrested—along with 248 others—and deported to Russia. Initially supportive of that country's October Revolution that brought the Bolsheviks to power, Goldman changed her opinion in the wake of the Kronstadt rebellion; she denounced the Soviet Union for its violent repression of independent voices. She left the Soviet Union and in 1923 published a book about her experiences, My Disillusionment in Russia. While living in England, Canada, and France, she wrote an autobiography called Living My Life. It was published in two volumes, in 1931 and 1935. After the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Goldman traveled to Spain to support the anarchist revolution there. She died in Toronto, Canada, on May 14, 1940, aged 70. During her life, Goldman was lionized as a freethinking "rebel woman" by admirers, and denounced by detractors as an advocate of politically motivated murder and violent revolution. Her writing and lectures spanned a wide variety of issues, including prisons, atheism, freedom of speech, militarism, capitalism, marriage, free love, and homosexuality. Although she distanced herself from first-wave feminism and its efforts toward women's suffrage, she developed new ways of incorporating gender politics into anarchism. After decades of obscurity, Goldman gained iconic status in the 1970s by a revival of interest in her life, when feminist and anarchist scholars rekindled popular interest.

  • He may not be as well known in America, but in his native Brazil, Wagner Moura is a bona-fide star. His early roles (1999's "Radio Gogo," 2000's "Woman on Top") proved brief, but his performance as a prisoner in 2003's "Carandiru" was full of brooding promise. He landed a lead role on a popular Brazilian telenovela and continued performing on stage until landing a trifecta of career-defining roles in 2007: first as a vicious police captain in the critically-acclaimed "Elite Squad;" then as a villainous entrepreneur on the telenovela "Paradiso Tropical" (Rede Globo); and finally as the tortured title Dane in an experimental production of "Hamlet." After reprising his role as Lt. Colonel Nascimento in 2010's "Elite Squad: Enemy Within," Moura, now a father of two, broke through to American audiences as the mysterious Spider in the blockbuster "Elysium" (2013). Just as fascinating as the characters he played - he fronted the Brazilian rock band His Mother and practiced jiu-jitsu - Wagner Moura was full of surprises.

  • Kevin Peter Pietersen (born 27 June 1980) is a former cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional off spin bowler who played in all three formats for England between 2005 and 2014. Pietersen was born to an Afrikaner father and English mother in South Africa. He made his first-class debut for Natal in 1997 and moved to England in 2000, after voicing his displeasure at what he said was the racial quota system in South African cricket. Being of English ancestry, Pietersen was eligible for the England team so long as he first served a four-year qualifying period in English county cricket. He was called up by England almost immediately after he completed four years with Nottinghamshire. He made his international debut in the One Day International (ODI) match against Zimbabwe in 2004 and his Test match debut in the 2005 Ashes series against Australia.Pietersen left Nottinghamshire for Hampshire in 2005, but the England team's subsequent reliance on him resulted in Pietersen making only a single first-class appearance for his new county between 2005 and 2010. In June 2010, Pietersen announced his wish to leave Hampshire; he joined Surrey on loan for the remainder of the season, then moved permanently in 2011.Pietersen was captain of the England Test and ODI teams from 4 August 2008 to 7 January 2009, but resigned after just three Tests and nine ODIs following a dispute with the England coach Peter Moores, who was sacked the same day. Pietersen's relationship with the ECB never fully recovered. This came to a head in 2012 when, after a disagreement over his schedule, Pietersen announced his retirement from all forms of international limited-overs cricket on 31 May. Although he later retracted his retirement, his relationship with both the ECB and his team-mates soured during the series against South Africa, and he was dropped for the final Test of that series. Pietersen last played for England in the 2013–14 Ashes and subsequent ODIs, after which he was informed that he was no longer being considered for international selection. He also played for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League until the end of BBL|07 (seventh season), the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League as well as the Hollywoodbets Dolphins in the CSA T20 Challenge. He was also signed by the Rising Pune Supergiants for the 2016 season of the Indian Premier League. Pietersen is one of the fastest batsman to reach 1,000 ODI runs and still holds the record for being the fastest player to cross 2,000 runs in One Day International cricket. He has the second-highest run total from his first 25 Tests, behind only Sir Don Bradman of Australia, and was the fastest player, in terms of days, to reach 4,000, 5,000 and 7,000 Test runs. He became only the third English batsman to top the ICC One Day International rankings, doing so in March 2007. In July 2008, after a century against South Africa, The Times called him "the most complete batsman in cricket" and in 2012 The Guardian called him "England's greatest modern batsman". On the occasion of England's 1000th Test in August 2018, he was named in the country's greatest Test XI by the ECB.

  • The Barry Manilow hit "I Write the Songs" was Bruce Johnston's most famous creation, but it also perfectly describes his career. Best known as a member of the Beach Boys, Johnston had a long and successful journey as a singer and songwriter, though he never quite became a household name on his own. Born on June 27, 1942 as Benjamin Baldwin, he was later adopted by William and Irene Johnston and raised in Beverly Hills, California. He studied classical piano as a child, progressing to pop and rock music as he grew older. Johnston began his career while in high school, performing with a variety of high-profile bands and playing on albums by The Teddy Bears and Ritchie Valens. While in college at UCLA, he released a few surf-themed singles and albums entitled Surfers' Pajama Party and Surfin' Around the World. In 1965, The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson retired from live performances due to a crippling fear of air travel, and Johnston stepped into his place as the group's onstage keyboardist. Johnston performed off and on with the iconic band for decades, and occasionally contributed to their studio recordings as well, playing piano on their hit "California Girls" and appearing on the critically acclaimed album Pet Sounds. In 1972, Johnston left the Beach Boys to embark on a mildly successful solo career. It was during this time that he wrote "I Write the Songs," which became a massive worldwide hit when covered by Barry Manilow in 1975. Manilow's version of the song earned Johnston the 1976 "Song of the Year" Grammy. Johnston rejoined The Beach Boys in the 1978 as a performer, songwriter and producer, and continued recording and performing with the band well into the 21st century, including the 2012 reunion album That's Why God Made the Radio.

  • Gary Crosby
    Dec. at 62 (1933-1995)
One of four sons born to legendary crooner/actor Bing Crosby and singer/actress Dixie Lee, Gary Crosby was probably the most successful of the couple's troubled children, following in his father's footsteps as a singer and actor in TV and films. Crosby performed with his brothers as the marginally successful Crosby Boys, but by the late 1950s he got his screen career out of the gate, helped along by his close resemblance to his father. He played a variety of roles early on, memorably appearing in the World War II-set "Battle at Bloody Beach" alongside Audie Murphy, and in the light-hearted musical romp "Mardi Gras." One of his biggest film parts was opposite Elvis Presley in the mobster-themed rock-&-roll romance "Girl Happy." Crosby steadily appeared on TV throughout the '60s, notably on a "Twilight Zone" episode entitled "Come Wander with Me." In 1969 he was cast in what would be his best-remembered part, as Officer Ed Wells on the L.A. cop show "Adam-12," a part he kept until 1975. Crosby--along with his brothers, two of whom eventually committed suicide--struggled with lifelong alcohol problems. To reignite his career, he published a tell-all book in 1983 about growing up with a distant father.

  • Charles IX of France
    Dec. at 23 (1550-1574)
Charles IX (27 June 1550 – 30 May 1574) was King of France from 1560 until his death in 1574 from tuberculosis. He ascended the throne of France upon the death of his brother Francis II in 1560. After decades of tension, war broke out between Protestants and Catholics after the massacre of Vassy in 1562. In 1572, after several unsuccessful peace attempts, Charles ordered the marriage of his sister Margaret of Valois to Henry of Navarre (the future King Henry IV of France), a major Protestant nobleman who was in the line of succession to the French throne, in a last desperate bid to reconcile his people. Facing popular hostility against this policy of appeasement, Charles allowed the massacre of all Huguenot leaders who gathered in Paris for the royal wedding at the instigation of his mother Catherine de' Medici. This event, known as the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre, was a significant blow to the Huguenot movement, though religious civil warfare soon began anew. Charles sought to take advantage of the disarray of the Huguenots by ordering the Siege of La Rochelle, but was unable to take the Protestant stronghold. All of his decision-making was influenced by his mother Catherine de' Medici, a fervent Roman Catholic who initially sought peace between Catholics and Protestants, but after the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre supported the persecution of Huguenots. Charles died of tuberculosis in 1574, without legitimate male issue, and was succeeded by his brother Henry III.
