Back in 1991, Steven Spielberg gave audiences an entirely new take on the story of Peter Pan with Hook. Robin Williams's adult version of Peter went toe-to-toe with the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Bob Hoskins, but some of the most memorable characters in the film were the children who played the Lost Boys - as well as Peter's own children, Jack and Maggie.

Over the decades since the movie's release, the kids who ran around fighting pirates and encouraging Peter Pan to fly have all done exactly what their characters insisted on never doing: they grew up. Those kids have gone on to have some rather fascinating careers - some remaining in Hollywood, and others going far, far away.

Check out the list below and vote for the kids of the Hook cast who you think have changed the most.

  • Charlie Korsmo played Jack, the grown-up Peter Pan's son who is taken to Neverland by Captain Hook. Since Hook, Korsmo has gone on to live a very different life from his earlier days as a child star. After Hook, he only appeared in Can't Hardly Wait, having left his time in Hollywood behind to embrace the law. In 2018, after a 20-year hiatus, he appeared in Chained for Life.

Korsmo is a professor at Case Western Reserve University, where he teaches courses in corporate finance, corporate law, and torts. He routinely writes legal articles, which have appeared in numerous prestigious publications, including William & Mary Law Review and Brooklyn Law Review.

  • When Peter returns to Neverland, he finds Rufio has taken over as the leader of the Lost Boys. That young man was played by Dante Basco, who has continued to work as an actor, dancer, and voice actor in the decades since Hook was released. He has also taken up a prominent role in the Asian-American community of performers, having co-founded the collective "We Own the 8th."

Basco has appeared in dozens of films, movies, and web series over the years. Most famously, he provided the voice for Prince Zuko on Avatar: The Last Airbender; he's also voiced Scorpion on Ultimate Spider-Man, played Philly in Biker Boyz, and has appeared as himself on Nostalgia Critic, Achievement Hunter Presents: Let's Play, and Rooster Teeth's Hardcore Tabletop: World Series.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow was 19 years old when she played a young Wendy in Hook, but given that it was only her second professional film role, it's not surprising that most people don't remember she was in the movie. Since 1991, she has gone on to launch one of the most successful film careers in Hollywood, appearing in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Shakespeare in Love, The Royal Tenenbaums, and various entries in the MCU, in which she plays Pepper Potts opposite Tony Stark.

In addition to her work in film, Paltrow also founded an incredibly successful beauty and health company called Goop, which raised more than $50 million in investor funding in 2018. Paltrow is the American face of Coach, has published several cookbooks, and has won the Academy Award for Best Actress, among many other impressive accolades.

  • James Madio landed his very first auditioned role, Don't Ask in Hook. But that 1991 blockbuster was only the beginning of a long career in Hollywood. Since Hook, Madio has continued to act regularly, having appeared in a number of films and television series, including Doogie Howser, M.D., Blossom, Band of Brothers, Queens Supreme, and FBI.

He also serves on the advisory committee of the WWII Foundation, which works to document the history of WWII through the voices of its veterans.

Alex Zuckerman (Latchboy) Popped Up In A Few Films, But Left Child Acting To The Next Generation

Alex Zuckerman has a few acting credits to his name thanks to appearances in Dear John and Family Ties. After Hook, Zuckerman continued to act, landing roles in Freaked, Fatal Instinct, The Adventures of Huck Finn, and Blank Check. By the mid-1990s, he mostly retired from acting and left the world of Hollywood behind him.

With his limited social media presence, there isn't much available information about what he's been up to in recent years.

Raushan Hammond (Thud Butt) Started A Magic Act And Tried To Make A ‘Hook’ Sequel

One of the more memorable Lost Boys, known as Thud Butt, was played by Raushan Hammond. Since Hook premiered, Hammond has remained somewhat active in Hollywood. He made appearances in Tales from the Crypt, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, ER, and Family Matters between 1993 and 1995, before taking a break from acting until 2011.

In 2011, Hammond wrote, produced, and directed 24 Hours in Las Vegas. Other than that, he attempted for several years to get a Hook sequel made, but that project never manifested more than $613 via a Kickstarter campaign. He also started a magic show, which he discussed with People magazine in a 2014 interview.

Thomas Tulak (Too Small) Produces Short Films And Talks About Pop Culture On YouTube

Thomas Tulak was one of the young kids who made his film debut in Hook, in which he played the youngest of the Lost Boys. Like many of the others on this list, Tulak didn't remain an actor for very long following his screen debut. He appeared in Cheers with a brief recurring role and went on to act in a single episode of Mad About You.

While he has retired from acting (for the most part), he spends much of his time on YouTube, where he maintains a very active channel called "Easily Amused Group Productions." He also put together a short film called TIME, which he dedicated to the late Robin Williams. He has since worked on other shorts, many of which he also directed.

Amber Scott (Maggie) Graduated From Trinity College And Left Acting Behind

Amber Scott played Maggie Banning, the adult Peter Pan's daughter, but she didn't remain an actor for long. After Hook, she performed as a voice actor on the television documentary series American Experience in 1995, but that's about it. Her only other film credit since then is as a producer on the 2018 short Cannonball, but most of her adult life has been spent far from the likes of Hollywood.

Since leaving Hollywood, Scott attended Trinity College in Connecticut, where she was a member of Delta Psi, the Epsilon chapter of St. Anthony Hall. In 2015, a headshot (pictured above) appeared online suggesting she might be trying to return to acting, but other than producing Cannonball, she hasn't made a return to the limelight.

Isaiah Robinson (Pockets) Is A Big-Time Singer And Instructor In Chicago

The man who played Pockets in Hook so many years ago, Isaiah Robinson, didn't stay long in Hollywood and only has one other credit to his name. Though he might have been a great Lost Boy back in the day, he's grown up to be a much better musician.

Robinson spends most of his time in and around Chicago, where he works as an instructor for the Chicago Children's Choir. He's also worked as the staff musician/organist and Choir Master for the Life Center in Chicago and has performed with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Yo-Yo Ma, and many more. In 2011, he performed as the featured vocalist at the Chicago mayoral inauguration of Rahm Emanuel.

Ahmad Stoner (No Nap) Showed Up In Some Popular TV Series, But Ultimately Left Hollywood Behind

The adorable Lost Boy known as No Nap was played by Ahmad Stoner in his very first film credit, but his time in front of the camera didn't stop there. After appearing in Hook, Stoner continued working, moving to the small screen in episodes of A Different World, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Sister, Sister, Roseanne, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Boy Meets World.

After leaving the world of acting behind in 2002, Stoner spent some time growing up but ultimately returned to the world of entertainment. In 2017, he began executive producing the television series No Chill.

Ryan Francis (Young Peter Pan) Continued To Act, Direct, And Produce

While Robin Williams portrayed the adult version of Peter Pan in the film, there was a scene or two featuring a much younger version of the character, played by Ryan Francis. His appearance in Hook was his ninth credited role, and it was hardly his last. Francis has appeared in a number of television series and films, including The Bay, Blossom, and Cold Case.

Francis also has a number of film credits to his name in editing, cinematography, writing, directing, and producing. His most notable role is likely his appearance on the NBC series Sisters, on which he remained as a series regular for its entire six-year run.
