Vought Plans To Use Ryan To Replace Homelander

Vought Plans To Use Ryan To Replace Homelander

Foodbagjr thinks that the reason Stan Edgar was so particular about keeping control over Ryan is because he plans on using him as the new "Homelander." Hopefully, Ryan is strong enough to defeat Homelander and Becca's parenting methods will create someone more emotionally stable - and thus more easily controlled.

    Cindy Is Senator Neuman's Sister

    Cindy Is Senator Neuman's Sister

Since Cindy and Senator Neuman have such similar powers, MJC1988 believe they may be sisters.

    Hughie Is A Supe

    Hughie Is A Supe

bandalozy believes 'the boys' are blessed with more than just luck (or plot armor). They speculate that Hughie has a passive superpower to the likes of Domino, controlling probability and chance. Taking into consideration Hughie's unexplained past with his mother, there may be something more to Hughie than we see.

Black Noir's Powers Are To Survive

Black Noir's Powers Are To Survive

Many fans are confused as to the nature of Black Noir's powers. BiMonSciFiFanCon has settled on the idea that Black Noir is able to survive anything, though he may leave scathed. His vocal cords and skin may have been damaged, which would account for his silence and suit.

Vought Makes Sure Their Supes Are A Little Sociopathic

Vought Makes Sure Their Supes Are A Little Sociopathic

MrSluagh noticed that all Supes have varying levels of sociopathic tendecies. From Maeve's outbursts to Starlight's subtle lack of remorse for the man she accidentally hit, the Supes aren't exactly emotionally stable. Vought may have made sure everyone had sociopathic tendecies before entering the Seven to ensure they wouldn't crack under Homelander.

This Redditor also did a deep dive into Starlight's character, from her killing a man for the first time and her apparently very small social circle. "Starlight is a person who has a large amount of superficial charisma, but slays an innocent man with almost no remorse and seems to have very few friends, leave few good impressions, and be a skilled manipulator."

    Cindy Will Join The Boys

    Cindy Will Join The Boys

We were given a snippet of Cindy leaving Sage Grove as a hitch hiker. At another point in the show, Frenchies mentions how the Golden Girls make a family of their own. Feitan_SleeperOP thinks that Cindy will complete this analogy by joining forces with Starlight, Kimiko, and Maeve. This Redditor thinks that these four women will "get it done."

    Stormfront Is Homelander's Mother

    Stormfront Is Homelander's Mother

For this theory, sinburger cites the comics, which say that Homelander is made from the DNA of Stormfront. And considering Homelander's tendency to be attracted towards mother-figures, Stormfront would be an appropriate replacement.

    Hughie's Mom Was A Vigilante

    Hughie's Mom Was A Vigilante

Hughie briefly mentions his moether in the Season 2 finale. ShapelessHail thinks that there is more to the story than what he shared; she must have fought Vought or made some sort of impression with the company. Hughie's dad could have taken money in compensation from Vought, which may explain why he pressed Hughie so hard to take the money.

    Vought Is Behind The Boys

    Vought Is Behind The Boys

Many times during the show, we've seen Vought play the game one step ahead of everyone else. swisssergal thinks Vought may have initiated 'the boys' in order to keep Homelander and the rest of the supes in line.

Homelander Made Maeve Step Down As Leader Of The Seven

Homelander Made Maeve Step Down As Leader Of The Seven

RaspberryMedium thinks that Maeve was once the leader of the Seven before Homelander. They calculated Maeve must be in her 40s while Homelander is apparently only 26. Considering how much older everyone else on the team is, it's very possible that the team was very different before the Superman knock-off joined.

Black Noir Is Tied To Kimiko

Black Noir Is Tied To Kimiko

bbreadit has noticed that Black Noir may have a Japanese background. His tea commercial and the fact that he made a teddy bear bow to a kid may be subtle clues to his heritage. He also seems to have a similar fighting style (and potentially powers) as Kimiko, which may tie them together.

Black Noir Is Stan Edgar's Clone

Black Noir Is Stan Edgar's Clone

Black Noir is unsually subservient to Mr. Edgar.  Though in the comics Black Noir is a clone of someone else, Mayan_Ranger2929 believes that he is a clone of Mr. Edgar in the TV show. This secret may explain his unquestionable loyalty.

The Seven Reflect The Seven Cardinal Sins

The Seven Reflect The Seven Cardinal Sins

One Redditor was able to find parallels between some of the seven cardinal sins and The Seven. Heroism4499 came up with the following:

"Homelander=Wrath because he lasers people in the face every episode for petty reasons.

Stormfront=Pride because she is a racist White Supremacist.

Deep=Envy because he wants to rejoin the 7.

A-Train=Gluttony because of the way he uses Compound-V.

Queen Maeve=Sloth because she has a lot of information that will ruin the Seven but refuses to use it.

Starlight=Lust because of her Vought outfit."

Though this Redditor wasn't able to find a connection to Greed, it could easily be Stan Edgar/Madelyn Stillwell.

Whether these fit perfect or not, it's interesting to explore the various ways the supes break all kinds of moral codes.

Stormfront Will Return As A Zombie

Stormfront Will Return As A Zombie

Eric Kripke told TV Line that she wasn't dead. Rudy1661 has the idea that she'll return as a zombie or robot; something devoid of personality but still useful to Vought.

Fred Vought Is Now Vought's Movie Director

killerbeezer12 put pictures of Fred Vought (Stormfront's husband) next to the movie director of Vought. It's possible that after injecting Stormfront with Compound V, he put it in himself, eventually becoming the movie director under Vought.

Starlight Will Become The New Homelander

Starlight Will Become The New Homelander

Starlight seems to be one of the only supes with pure intentions. But thelure2112 thinks that audiences will see her slowly descend into madness. She already demonstrated a lack of remorse towards killing a man, which may be a subtle parallel to Homelander.

The Boys Is In The Same Universe As The Incredibles

In one of the most outrageous theories, Jacob_wallace finds good connections between The Incredibles and The Boys, namely themes of corporate shadiness. Once past the jarring juxtoposition, it's hard not to see the ways both of the superhero cultures are dominated by corporate interests. Also, no one seems to explain the existence of superheroes in The Incredibles universe.
