Beloved director Taika Waititi took a stab at the Thor franchise with his first entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Ragnarok and took the world by storm. Nearly universally beloved and radically different than its predecessors, Ragnarok serves color, humor, and straight-up comic book realness featuring one of the best villains to grace the MCU, Hela. Putting the bright and shiny aside, Waititi managed to sneak in a large number of nods to other Marvel properties and his attention to detail is a thing of beauty.
