Because I Reincarnated as a Succubus, I'll Squeeze Out Milk

Thanks to a clerical mishap, a teenage boy named Riichi is reincarnated as a succubus. This extremely sexual species survives off of what's called "man's life essence." Use context clues and you can probably guess what that is. Riichi is straight, so he adamantly refuses, claiming he'd rather starve. It turns out that he can also survive off of cow's milk, but there are no cows - the people behind his reincanation offer him a superpowered cow to ease his burden.
Is this a thinly veiled excuse for ecchi? Abosolutely, but it's still funny as hell.

Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha!
- Photo:
If most people got the opportunity to be reincarnated as a character from Dragon Ball, they probably wouldn't pick Yamcha - but that's exactly what happens to the protagonist of Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha!, when he trips trying to sneak a peek at a girl's panties, loses consciousness, and wakes up in the world of his favorite series. He decides that he isn't going to take Yamcha's poor circumstances lying down - instead, he's going to change his fate for the better.

Kemono Michi: Rise Up is a Fall 2019 anime about a wrestler who is summoned to another world by a princess to fight dangerous beasts. Plus-Sized Elf
- Photo:
Plus-Sized Elf is actually a reverse isekai - rather than focusing on a human being transported to another world, it brings the denizens of the other world to Earth. That's not absurd - what is absurd is what happens when they get there. Erufuda is an elf who is trapped on Earth because the portal that will take her back home won't accept her until she can match the weight she was when she arrived. This is easier said than done, because she just loves junk food. With the help of a massage therapist named Naoe-kun, she works toward losing weight.

Before he can decide, the first two options are snatched up by other people, and he's left to manage a pizza parlor. At his side is Liria, the elfen daughter of an appetite demon lord. This novel will definitely make you hungry, so maybe order some pizza before you start reading.

So I'm A Spider, So What?
- Photo:
After an explosion takes the lives of a class full of teenagers, they're reincarnated into a fantasy world. While many of them become royalty or gain incredible powers, Kumoko becomes a spider. Now at the bottom of the food chain, it's all she can manage just to survive, let alone thrive, in a dungeon full of monsters.
While this isn't as weird as turning into an onsen or a vending machine, it's still a far cry from the power fantasies that dominate the isekai genre.

Kyou Kara Maou!
- Photo:
Yuri Shibuya is transported to another world when bullies shove his head into a toilet, and it turns out to be a portal to a land resembling medieval Europe. From there, it's a pretty standard isekai plot in which an ordinary human boy is expected to become a demon king, but the fact that he arrives via toilet is hilarious in an immature way.

Tsuyoshi Mukouda is transported to a magical world not because of some grandiose destiny, but by accident. He doesn't have any special magical skills that will help him out, either - except for one. Tsuyoshi can utilize something called "Net Supermarket" which allows him to order food from his home world. This manga is heavily focused on cooking, which isn't exactly unusual, but the premise of ordering stuff online as a special power certainly is.

Reincarnation of White Bear: I Became the Legendary Guardian Deity of the Sacred Forest
- Photo:
- Houki Kusano, Chihiro Mishima
The protagonist of this unsual isekai loses his life while climbing a mountain, then is reincarnated into a fantasy world as a polar bear. Not only does he now have the strength that he describes as "better than Street Fighter" he also possesses the mysterious ability to survive in a leafy forest rather than on the ice caps as a normal polar bear would. Most of his adventures are pretty mundane, but the premise makes up for it.

Renowned historical Japanese author Osamu Dazai can't seem to catch a break. Not only is he isekaied into a world with video game powers and cute girls - something he doesn't understand because he's from the early 1900s - but every attempt he makes to die peacefully is thwarted, no matter how hard he tries. The result is this weird yet hilarious isekai comedy.

- Suicide Squad Isekai
- Wit Studio
It would be way too ridiculous to have the beloved supervillain group the Suicide Squad isekaied into another world, wouldn't it? Apparently not! Harley Quinn, The Joker, Deadshot, and all your other favorite DC villains are assigned a mission that involve being isekaied in this anime. However, things start going awry almost instantly, and the Suicide Squad have to get the mission back on track before it's too late.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is one of the most popular isekai out there. Part of the reason for that is its delightfully absurd premise. As a reverse isekai, it follows the Devil and his demon sidekick as they try to survive in modern day Japan without any powers to help them. Surviving means getting a job, and all that's available to the Prince of Darkness is flipping burgers at the anime version of McDonald's.

Most anime fans already know about That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, even if they haven't seen it. As a result, its premise is pretty normalized - but that doesn't make it not silly.
After a contractor named Satoru Mikami is randomly stabbed in the street, he's reincarnated into one of the lowlier creatures most fantasy worlds have to offer - a slime. While he's every bit as humble as his species implies, he's actually exceptionally powerful - both because he can absorb the powers of others, and because his real super skill is actually community building.
