Isekai is one of the most creative and expansive genres in the world of anime - which means that some of the premises can get extremely weird. Most of the craziest isekai concepts come in light novels or manga like I Was Reincarnated as a Hot Spring in an Alternate World, and I'm way too effective, which is about a dude getting reincarnated into a hot spring, and The Ride-on King, which follows a Vladamir Putin knockoff on his journey to ride magical creatures. There are also funny isekai anime plots that can be found in shows like Kemono Michi: Rise Up, an anime about a wrestler who opens up a pet shop in another world.
There are some other isekai manga that are truly bizarre, like Isekai Transporter, an independently produced parody manga about a truck driver who takes out the people who are supposed to be reincarnated into new worlds, and "Panties Reincarnation. I’m a Pair of Panties, so What? - which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. However, this list is going to stick to officially published material that's been listed on MyAnimeList.

Is this a thinly veiled excuse for ecchi? Abosolutely, but it's still funny as hell.

Because he's an animal lover, he's wildly offended by this idea, and suplexes the princess instead. He then goes off to open a pet shop for animals, throwing the typical isekai script out the window.

Plus-Sized Elf is actually a reverse isekai - rather than focusing on a human being transported to another world, it brings the denizens of the other world to Earth. That's not absurd - what is absurd is what happens when they get there. Erufuda is an elf who is trapped on Earth because the portal that will take her back home won't accept her until she can match the weight she was when she arrived. This is easier said than done, because she just loves junk food. With the help of a massage therapist named Naoe-kun, she works toward losing weight.

While this isn't as weird as turning into an onsen or a vending machine, it's still a far cry from the power fantasies that dominate the isekai genre.

From there, it's a pretty standard isekai plot in which an ordinary human boy is expected to become a demon king, but the fact that he arrives via toilet is hilarious in an immature way.

Tsuyoshi Mukouda is transported to a magical world not because of some grandiose destiny, but by accident. He doesn't have any special magical skills that will help him out, either - except for one. Tsuyoshi can utilize something called "Net Supermarket" which allows him to order food from his home world. This manga is heavily focused on cooking, which isn't exactly unusual, but the premise of ordering stuff online as a special power certainly is.

The protagonist of this unsual isekai loses his life while climbing a mountain, then is reincarnated into a fantasy world as a polar bear. Not only does he now have the strength that he describes as "better than Street Fighter" he also possesses the mysterious ability to survive in a leafy forest rather than on the ice caps as a normal polar bear would. Most of his adventures are pretty mundane, but the premise makes up for it.

Renowned historical Japanese author Osamu Dazai can't seem to catch a break. Not only is he isekaied into a world with video game powers and cute girls - something he doesn't understand because he's from the early 1900s - but every attempt he makes to die peacefully is thwarted, no matter how hard he tries. The result is this weird yet hilarious isekai comedy.

However, things start going awry almost instantly, and the Suicide Squad have to get the mission back on track before it's too late.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is one of the most popular isekai out there. Part of the reason for that is its delightfully absurd premise. As a reverse isekai, it follows the Devil and his demon sidekick as they try to survive in modern day Japan without any powers to help them. Surviving means getting a job, and all that's available to the Prince of Darkness is flipping burgers at the anime version of McDonald's.

Most anime fans already know about That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, even if they haven't seen it. As a result, its premise is pretty normalized - but that doesn't make it not silly.
After a contractor named Satoru Mikami is randomly stabbed in the street, he's reincarnated into one of the lowlier creatures most fantasy worlds have to offer - a slime. While he's every bit as humble as his species implies, he's actually exceptionally powerful - both because he can absorb the powers of others, and because his real super skill is actually community building.
